Roxas was about to thank Namine for taking care of him so well, and for being so great, but the girls beat him to speaking. He looked at them and hesitated before shaking his head. "Nah, I'm pretty beat from rehearsal today. Thanks for the offer, though," he told them.

Alexis smiled, though it was strained. "Of course. Rain check then."

Roxas's nod was a bit delayed, but he agreed anyway. Well, not really "agreed" since it was kind of...odd for people he barely knew to want to take him to dinner. Regardless, he turned to Namine. "Want to walk with me?" he asked her, his smile softening and just for her. He was glad she was here.

"Of course!" she chirped. There was relief evident in her voice as she said this. She felt the other girls' stares and bit her lip. She would have to ask Kairi if this was normal. Naminé wasn't exactly familiar with the world of college girls. Or people in general really.

Regina waved cutely at Roxas, but her eyes hard as she watched Naminé move to his side. The two looked too cozy for her liking. Something would have to be done about that.

Roxas's smile grew at Namine's response. He took the food from her and waved a little at the other girls. He then moved that arm to go around Namine's shoulders as he started out of the hall, guitar still strapped on his back. "You are seriously too good to me sometimes," he told her with a small chuckle. She really didn't have to go through so much trouble to bring him food, but he did appreciate it.

Alexis looked after the two blondes and huffed quietly. How unfair!

Absentmindedly, she leaned into his touch as they walked; the tension created by those girls dissolved. It was probably nothing to worry about anyway. "It's nothing really," Naminé replied with a smile, "Just an extra meal from the cafeteria." Though maybe one of these days she'd make him something herself. Cooking never seemed horribly hard.

"Still...thank you," Roxas said, looking down at the blonde he held close to him. As they walked, he noted she was responsive to his touch. That was...comforting. Sadly, he was relieved that the tension Sora and Kairi experienced wasn't present between him and Namine. It just felt right between them.

"You're welcome," she murmured, still unaccustomed to those two words. As they walked, Naminé thought of her other half. She hoped things worked out with her and Sora. Those two were bound by destiny, but they seemed to always resist it somehow. She then wondered if, now that they were their own people, the same applied to her and Roxas? Were they still bound by destiny?

Roxas kept his arm around Namine on their walk back to the dorms. It was getting late and he was tired, but he didn't want to separate from Namine. Why was that? Was it because of his connection to Sora? Did his love for Kairi affect Roxas's feelings toward Namine? No...he was his own person now. That couldn't be right.

"I guess this is where we say goodnight," Naminé mused with a teasing smile. She didn't want to leave, but she was sure Kairi would worry if she wasn't back soon. The two girls were often like that with one another.

Roxas took back his arm, though he secretly didn't want to. Being close to Namine, feeling her againt his side, felt like it was meant to be. Still, he was happy to at least be with her on the walk back. Now that they were in front of her door, he agreed that they needed to say goodnight. "Right. Thanks again for the food, and for walking back with me," he said, smiling. "It was nice." Campus was quiet at this hour, so the walk back was relaxing. Of course, Namine's presence always calmed him. It was just how she was.

"Anytime," Naminé said quietly, "and thank you for walking me back to my dorm." She reached for the handle of the dorm door then and pulled it towards her. A rush of air conditioning enveloped her. "I'll...see you tomorrow." She hoped those girls were friendlier then. Maybe there had just been some kind of misunderstanding.

Roxas's smile dimmed, just because he didn't want to part with Namine for the night. But she needed her rest. He wouldn't keep her. "Goodnight, Namine," he told her, taking a few steps back, his eyes lingering on her for a moment before he turned and started down the hall to get to his room. It was time he rested up too. He had more rehearsing to do tomorrow.

Finding Roxas the next day proved to be more of a challenge. With the festival only a day away, the practice space had changed. She knew where he would be performing, but outside of the stage, everything seemed to be a cluster. "I wonder where he could be this time," Naminé asked herself with an audible sigh.

Regina, having noticed the flaxen haired girl from afar, looked to her cohorts with a snotty curl of the lips. "Look who's back again."

Alexis turned to follow Regina's gaze. She smirked. "She's just going to have to wait her turn," she sassed. This girl wouldn't be getting to Roxas before them. They had been waiting for a while now to see him. Things were chaotic due to the festival being the next day, but this was their chance to get the boy's attention. They weren't going to let Namine take it from them.

"Ugh. I can't stand her," Regina said with a scoff, "Desperate much? I don't get why he hangs around her." He should be hanging around her obviously. She was much hotter.

“She needs to be shown her place,” Alexis declared, crossing her arms. She wore a low-cut shirt in hopes of Roxas noticing her over Regina, or that blonde girl, but he wasn’t even around. They could just tell that girl the same thing and hopefully she would go away.

"Exactly," Regina agreed. She jerked her head over towards the blonde girl. "Let's give her a little help now, shall we?" This little blonde girl was going to learn who was in charge real quick.

“Hmph,” Alexis smiled and started over toward the obsessive girl. It was time she realized that Roxas was off-limits. They had dibs. “Hey...Namine, right?” Her smile turned sweet as they approached her. Time to get this girl out of their hair.

At the sound of her name, Naminé turned around. "Huh? Um...yes" she smiled at the two girls uncertainly. What did they want? She didn't want to assume anything, but the blonde couldn't help but feel uneasy around them.

“Are you looking for Roxas?” Alexis asked, lifting an eyebrow. She figured Namine was. “He hasn’t shown up yet. We’ve been waiting for a while. I doubt you’ll get to see him, because when he does come out, we get dibs.” In other words, she needed to beat it.

"Dibs?"Naminé repeated. The word was foreign to her. "I...don't understand," the blonde confessed. Her eyes searched for Roxas, darting from one end of the stage to another.

Alexis stepped forward, getting in Namine’s way. “We get him first,” she clarified. Namine wasn’t going to see Roxas today. And that was that. Regina could even vouch for it. Roxas was theirs.

"Yeah, we get him first, which means," Regina crowed at the blonde with a sickly sweet smile, "that it's time for you to go away now." Regina brushed her away with a menacing laugh.

"Roxas is...he's my friend," Naminé said quietly. Her hands tightened around the paper bag she had brought for him. The paper audibly crinkled. "I won't leave. He's counting on me." Or at least that's what she thought. Naminé didn't understand what was going on with these girls at all and didn't like it. Was this because he could sing?

“Counting on you? To what, bring him food like a little slave?” Alexis laughed. “Please! You’re nothing more than his little servant. He wants us, got it? We appreciate his talents more than some obsessive fangirl.” Alexis was so over this.

Naminé's eyes grew big and she shook her head. A wall of tears began to build behind her eyes. "That's not true. Roxas. He...cares about me, and I care about him. I'm not obsessed with him." She wasn't. She couldn't be. They just had a history. A bond. "And I appreciate his talent just as much as anyone." Though, in the back her mind, she felt that she likely appreciated it more, given their context as Nobodies.

Regina smirked and snatched the paper bag out from Naminé's hands."And what's this?" Regina then pulled out a little pink note. It had Naminé's delicate scrawl and a silly doodle of herself cheering him on. "Looks pretty stalkers if you ask me." She glanced at Alexis with an eyebrow raised.

Alexis rolled her eyes and took the paper. She then proceeded to rip it to shreds. How pathetic was this girl? No wonder Roxas kept her around; she boosted his ego. Well, Alexis and Regina were gladly going to take advantage. Roxas was hot. He would be hers, or Regina’s, soon enough.
