Kairi laughed softly. "You're going to share?" she teased, then taking a few kernels and popping them into her mouth. Sora didn't kid around much when it came to his food, but the bucket was pretty big...

Roxas propped his ankle up on his knee, already snacking on his sea-salt bites. He sighed at the salty-but-sweet taste. It would never get old.

"This time," Sora replied with dancing eyes, "but only because I get free refills." Though, in truth, Sora would always share with Kairi. Whatever she wanted or needed.

"How are they?" Naminé asked teasingly. She knew the answer already, but his expression was adorable.

Kairi rolled her eyes at Sora and grabbed another handful. Fine, she was going to take advantage of this then. Her eyes darted to Sora's as she chewed, the girl smiling. This...kind of felt like a date. But it couldn't be! Sora was her best friend! He wouldn't want to take her on a date....right?

Roxas sank into his seat a little and turned his head against it to look at Namine. "So good," he practically moaned, then smirking at the pretty girl. He caught her tone, so he would play along.

"I put extra butter on it," Sora said between another mouthful of popcorn, "and salt." As the previews rolled on, Sora wondered if Kairi felt happy to be here with him. It wasn't an official date, but it felt like one. Well, a double date...Sora thought, looking to Roxas and Naminé.

Naminé stifled a giggle behind her hand. Silly boy. "Really? Hmm...maybe I should try one?" She caught his eyes and reached towards the bag.

"Definitely gonna have to work that off," Kairi muttered, sure Sora could hear her. She wasn't one to put off exercise just because her keyblade training was over. She used the campus's gym, since it was free. This extra butter and salt would definitely come back to haunt her.

Roxas moved the bag closer to Namine when she reached for it. As she grabbed one, he looked up at her, leaning a little closer since the previews were going and others sat around them. "You're lucky I like you," he told her softly, smiling crookedly. "I don't let just anyone have my sea-salt snacks." Of course, he more than liked her. Sora called him out on it once, but he countered by mentioning Kairi. That shut Sora up real fast.

"Mmm, what?" Sora asked. His eyes strayed to the screen now as the last preview faded into a reminder to turn your cell phones off. Sora used his free hand to reach for his phone; he set the volume to silence.

Naminé nearly dropped the sea salt bite at sudden proximity, feeling a heavy blush rise into her cheeks. She was thankful it was so dark in the theater. "I must be pretty special then," Naminé murmured. She couldn't help but wonder if he was like this with any other girls? So...flirty? Was that the right word? She certainly liked him as more than a friend...

Kairi turned her phone on silent and shook her head. "Never mind," she whispered, sinking down into her seat a little to get more comfortable. She didn't even know the plot of this movie, but she was about to find out.

Roxas's smile only grew at the words. He wouldn't deny that. "Maybe," he whispered, his eyes dancing over Namine's in the dim lighting from the screen. His heart skipped at the expression she wore, but he wouldn't read too much into it right now. Instead, he gave her some breathing room and relaxed in his seat to enjoy the movie.

Naminé watched the movie, the actors a collection of ever moving figures across the screen; fiery explosions often followed in their wake. Naminé leaned forward in her seat a little when the villain walked into the frame. She was tall, slender, and had sharp green eyes that reminded her of Larexene. Her fists clenched, but her gaze was torn from the screen when she heard an unfamiliar voice above her.

"Isn't that those two girls again?"

Kairi had looked over when Namine leaned forward, curious as to what she was doing. But then she heard the snickering behind her.

"Yup. One of them is that girl posted all over campus!"

Kairi closed her eyes. I knew this would happen... She placed her hand on Namine's arm. "Namine, will you come to the restroom with me?" she asked in a whisper. She needed to get some air before this got more uncomfortable.

Roxas looked past Namine to Kairi at the whisper, one his trained senses could make out. Which meant he also heard those guys sitting a few rows back. You've got to be kidding.

"What's wrong?" Sora mouthed to Kairi. He hadn't heard the comments given that his attention was focused entirely on the movie.

"Heh, I wonder if she'll take our measurements," the other snickered loudly.

Naminé nodded and got up to follow Kairi wordlessly. She could use a break too. Those guys were starting to creep her out.

Kairi stiffened at the remark. Yep, she needed to leave right now. "It's nothing, I'm fine," she told Sora quickly, then stepping past him and leaving the aisle. She waited for Namine before escaping out of the room. Of course the weighted gazes of those boys were on them the entire time.

Roxas watched the girls with concerned eyes, especially after that last comment. His gaze hardened after that. Those creeps, he thought with distaste, gripping the arms of his seat tightly. Roxas looked to Sora. Did they get up and follow them? Or did they give the girls a minute? Was he making a big deal out of nothing?

The guy chuckled lowly. "Oh, hey, there they go!" he hissed in excitement. "C'mon, c'mon!" He nudged his friend to get up. They had to follow them out!

Sora frowned. What had happened? When the girls left, Sora moved closer to Roxas. "Did I miss something?" Kairi looked upset...

The other friend practically jumped out of his seat. "This'll be fun." They just had to be fast before their friends figured things out. Waiting only a brief moment, the two boys then followed with ghoulish grins painted on their faces.

Roxas shook his head slightly, eyes straining to see what was going on since the scene playing was in a darker area. "I think...someone recognized Kairi," he said then, whispering as to not disturb the other viewers. Still, somebody shushed him. Roxas blinked and looked in that direction, but he didn't comment.

Kairi escaped with Namine into the restroom, then leaning against the sink. She breathed a sigh. "I'm sorry," she told her friend. "I just...I had to get out of there." She couldn't be in the same room as those guys, and she couldn't let Sora or Roxas see her like this. She had to be stronger than this. She fought heartless and nobodies! She should have been able to handle a few stupid college guys!

"What are you talking about? You mean the...poster thing?" Sora whispered back with growing concern. Another patron loudly shushed him, but Sora ignored it. Did they need to follow them now? The movie still played, but Sora was deaf to the sound now.

"It's okay. I was feeling uncomfortable too," Naminé confessed. Though the comments weren't all directed towards her, Naminé's skin crawled from the voices. One of them was oddly familiar too...

Roxas nodded. He didn't think the girls would be gone long, but...something just didn't sit right with him about this. Those guys got up too quickly for Roxas's comfort.

Kairi crossed her arms and stared at the floor. What could she say? Actually, she couldn't say anything, because just then she heard low voices outside the restroom. Was that...them?

"Dude, I get the redhead. I need my 'measurements taken', ehhh?" one guy chuckled. He was so going to brag about this later.

"Haha, yeah. Maybe she's taught her little blonde friend a thing or two. You know what they always say about the shy ones~" the other guy crowed.

"Do we head out now?" Naminé asked. Was it safe for them to leave? The voices...this was a public place though...right? They wouldn't really try anything where other people could see...?

Kairi heard more snickering but she pushed herself away from the sink. "We've faced worse," she declared softly, looking to her other. Namine faced Larxene and Marluxia, and Kairi faced nobodies and heartless and even Master Xehanort himself. They could handle this. "Let's just get back to Sora and Roxas." Besides, she doubted these guys would try and pull something in public, even if the lobby was empty due to multiple screenings.

"Right," Naminé agreed, releasing a shaky breath. This was nothing compared to what they've gone through in the past. Just a couple of stupid college guys. Naminé walked out first, keeping her expression cold.

"Hey, baby, long time no see," one of the guys called out with his toothy grin still intact.

Naminé recognized him instantly. Owen. She turned to Kairi, ignoring him despite her pounding heart. "What do we do?" she whispered.

  • Author

Kairi recognized Owen from the karaoke club they visited weeks ago. Didn't he get the hint? Namine wasn't interested, and frankly, Kairi wasn't too invested in his friend either. The creep looked her up and down and licked his lips. Ew. Kairi grabbed Namine's hand and started toward the theatre room, but the other guy stood in front of her. He placed his hands on her hips and slid in close. Kairi released Namine's hand immediately and tried to push the guy off. "Get away from me!" she hissed.

"Aw, why? I just want some measurements taken. You can help me with that, right sweetheart?"

Kairi blanched. She knew it. This was about that stupid poster! Kairi ground her teeth together and shoved him as hard she could, but he grabbed her wrist before he got too far.

"Not so fast. Let's take this nice and slow..."

"Kai--" Naminé began to scream, but Owen put a hand over her mouth and brought her slim frame against his. Naminé could feel his fingers digging into her hips.

"Shh, no need to fight," Owen said with a tight grin, "Travis and I are good guys. Promise. We just want to get to know you ladies a little better." Owen brought his lips closer to Naminé's ear, breath hot against her skin. "I'm sure your little friend has taught you how take measurements, right?"

Naminé fought against his grip harder at that. Horror filling her eyes.

Kairi glanced over her shoulder at Namine and she wanted instantly to be at her friend's side. Her hand shook as she fought the urge to summon her keyblade. Not here. "You leave her out of this," she hissed at "Travis". "If this is about that stupid poster, then fine! Take it out on me instead!" Namine had nothing to do with it!

"Oh, so you're that kind of girl, huh?" Travis pulled Kairi to his chest, sniffing her hair. "Man, I am going to have some fun with you."

"Let me go," Kairi snarled, turning her head away from Travis when he brushed his nose against her temple. This was disgusting! She couldn't bring up her knee since he practically pressed himself against her. And his grip was too tight for her to throw a punch!

"Or what?"

Roxas glanced over at the entrance to the theatre room, his knee bouncing impatiently. Where were the girls? "Sora," he whispered, "something doesn't feel right." What was going on?

Sora shook his head and got out of his seat. "Let's go find them. This is taking too long." His heart was aching again too. I just hope that whatever's going on, they're okay.

"Nah, I rather like Naminé," Owen answered. The way he said her name made Naminé want to throw up. Why had she ever even told him? "Though...I'm not opposed to taking turns, are you, Travis?"

"Leave us alone!" Naminé protested, though her airy voice was muffled by his hand.

Roxas rose from his seat as well and followed Sora out, ignoring a few people's stares as they moved out of the aisle.

Kairi felt sick. Travis's laughter rang in her ears, as did Namine's retort. She pulled back from Travis, but his grip was strong.

"Ah-ah," Travis said. "I have to keep you nice and pretty for Owen in round two."

Kairi blinked, paling. Round two? "I said let me go!" she shrieked. She and Namine were getting out of here! Sora!

Sora felt his blood run cold at the sound of Kairi's cry. Those guys..Sora growled in his mind. He looked back at Roxas. "It sounds like they're still by the bathrooms." Which amplified his disgust tenfold. How sick do you have to be to follow girls to the bathroom? Did no one have standards these days? Thankfully, Sora was able to spot Kairi quickly. A burst of anger, however, leaked into his voice when saw her imprisoned state. "Let her go!" He jabbed a finger at Kairi's assailant. The grip the stranger had on the red head was especially disturbing, and Sora had to control the urge to knock the grin off his face with Kingdom Key.

Roxas's eyes widened before they sharpened with fury. Namine! She had been grabbed by someone too, and Roxas recognized him immediately. It was that Owen guy from the karaoke night!

Kairi grunted when Travis turned her and then puller her to his chest, her back against his front as he kept his arms around her, holding her in a similar fashion to Owen holding Namine. Kairi's periwinkle eyes fell on Sora, and she felt a rush of different emotions. First, she felt relief that he was here. But then she felt humiliation for the same reason. Kairi struggled against Travis, but her strength was no match for his. He was just too strong.

"Oh yeah? And who are you? Her boyfriend?" Travis sneered, keeping Kairi close. "What's it to you? Mind your own business!"
