What do you mostly think of the kinect for the x-box 360. State what you think here. In my opnion Ithink it is a rip-off of the Wii. I mean even sony's copying off the Wii now. Sony and Microsoft are running out of ideas.

They made something similar to that for PS3 too. And they made this thing call EyePet (commercial with the monkey) for PS3 and now the have something JUST like that for Xbox 360 (commercial with the tiger)

Agreed. I don't understand why they try coming up with those kind of stuff if no one's gonna buy it.

 

Xbox should stay where it is right now: for games like Modern Warfare and Left 4 Dead with awesome graphics instead of trying to come up with lame shit like that...

Actually, the Playstation Move has been in development since 2000, which would ruin any notions of it being a ripoff of the Wii. Kinect is basically a highly advanced EyeToy.

Its a competetive market, and if you can't apeal to the 40 year old white people that don't know the first thing about a controller, then you have to make it more natural for them. that was the main idea with the wii, which made me lose a lot of respect for nintendo because almost all the games for the wii suck in general or have bad controls. it works for stuff like wii sports and wii fit but everything else is almost unplayable. microsoft found a way to capture this demographic without losing their hardcore gamer fans.

But it is all about competetion. If microsoft has no motion control feature and all the other systems do, what product do you think people are going to buy? I can tell you it is not the 360.

 

Basically everyone is just copying each other. Which is actually a good thing. People keep copying ideas but in the process they make the idea better and better. Ah the beauty of capitalism.

I don't like the idea of the Kinect, if i wanted to move i would just walk or do some exercise, not go on the XBox, that's what i do when i DON'T want to get up, moving and stuff like that is suppossed (spelt wrong, forget how to spell the word) to be used in real life, like sports, not video games....... so, no, i don't like the Kinect.....

the think about move and kinect is that ps3 and 360 don't have to use it to play system unlike wii where you have to play with motion contrals.For Ps3 case the move isn't affecting there abilty to make great games that arn't motion contraled look at there line-up next year infamous 2,the last guirdian,killzone 3,restiance 3,uncharted 3,twisted metal,Agent,lbp2 and then great 3rd party support next for both 360 and ps3.Move and kinect are optional to can buy them if you want to they don't force you properly i won't buy kinect or move .

Sure but Niotendo running out of ideas for first party games where Sony setting there mark creative first party games and that's why you buy system for the games.I like 360,wii and ps3

this is how the cycle works:

 

- Sony creates the basic idea

- Nintendo implements the idea

- Microsoft makes it more commercial

 

so really nobody steals anything from anyone, the ideas just get better

and in the end, everyones happy because everyone can either enjoy the product, or choose not to go with ith. nobody should care who made it first

Exactly. And as the three companies compete to get the better product, the same product becomes better and better.

I think the Kinect is more family type entertainment, just like the Wii. You don't really see your whole family playing Call of Duty or Gears of War, or anything like that. So they wanted to make something more family oriented.

I agree. All the XBox has going for it are those M-Rated FPS games. With Kinect, more families are actually going to want it. That way they get the hardcore players and the families.
