Introduction

A woman with shoulder length blue hair sits in the grass fields of the Land of Departure. She has her knees tucked to her chin, and is nibbling on a star shaped fruit. A Paupu fruit. She looks into the sky and watches the stars shine.

"Terra." She whispers. She puts her hands in her hair and runs her fingers through it. Suddenly, a hand is placed on her shoulder. A boy with blonde, spiky hair is standing behind her, smiling. "It's okay Aqua. It's okay." His eyes are watery from tears. Aqua turns back around and nods. "He will be back", she whispers...

And then it happened. The clear night sky begin to be filled with clouds. Wind started to kick up, blowing Aqua's and Ven's hair wildly. Aqua jumps to her feet and begins to point towards the middle of the sky. A blue heart begins to appear, its light shining down on the two of them menacingly. Suddenly, three figures emerge from the light, each of them known by Aqua and Ventus. Master Eraqus, Terra, and Master Xehanort. Each of them emit a pale blue glow, and so do their eyes.

Aqua starts to walk towards the three of the figures. "...Terra? Master Eraqus?". Neither of them speak, they just stick their hands out, summoning their Keyblades. "It's will must be fulfilled", all three of them mutter loudly.

Chapter 1: Lingering

Riku falls to his knees, still in the water, but the shallow part, and screams. He couldn't believe just what happened. It wasn't real, it couldn't be real. The scene he just witnessed was reminiscent of what happened so many years ago, but worse.

But Sora is dead, how come he appeared like that? So many thoughts crash in Riku's head. Tears fall down from his eyes to his face, and into the salty seawater. "This can't be happening." Riku gets up from his knees and starts to walk back to shore when a purple orb suddenly appears right in front of him. In the center of the orb, a picture of a heart is shown, with an X in the middle. It reminded Riku of the Heartless symbol, except different.

Riku summons his Way to Dawn, ready for something to pop out of the orb.

A gust of wind blows, the orb begins to light up. A person suddenly appears in place of the orb, wielding an X-shaped blade. The person is Sora. Riku, surprised and suspicious, asks quietly, "Sora?". The person had Sora's face, and Sora's clothes, but the clothes are all silver, and his hair is silver. "Riku..", the person whispers eerily. "Your heart...give me your heart..".

Riku, taking a defensive stance yells, "I don't know who or what you are, but you need to bring Sora back!". The person whispers again. "But he is already here...right here..". Riku screams "No!", and slashes the person across the chest. The False Sora falls to the ground, gripping where Riku slashed him, but he immediately gets back on his feet, no wound shown.

"Heart...I need a heart. I need a body. I need, I need...". The person stabs Riku in the chest with his blade before Riku can block. Riku falls to the ground, not bleeding, but with an empty look in his eyes. The person bends down and shoves his hand into Riku's chest, and takes out an orb of light. "Yes..yes", it whispers.
