SuperPunk 13 Posted November 6, 2010 "In my hands is your life. Trust me. Embrace me. I'll end your strife." That is the motto of all members of "Heaven". The members, called Strikers, protect the people in the world with unexplainable and extraordinary powers. They were sent from the gods themselves to watch over the humans in their time of need. And now, a new evil has risen, ready to annihalate the entire human race and anything else that stands in their way. The enemies, or Slashers, have one mission only: To find the object known as the 'Devil Factor', a ruby orb who's power is yet to be known. However, the Strikers take no chance to hesitate. The time to fight is now. The Roleplay will start but sign-ups are still open. You may begin.
Koko 3,944 Posted November 6, 2010 (( is it okay if I use my example and add a little bit to it? o3o )) Rashel crept through the night, movements quiet and swift, silent and unnoticeable. From a distance, all you would see is a head a fiery colored hair moving through the darkness. This wasn't good, Rashel needed to be completely hidden. With one hand she started tying up her long red hair, and placed her cap upon her head. At this moment she wasn't Rashel, she was Scarlet, ready to strike. And of course to play a game or two. You see, Scarlet loved games. Mind games that is. Rashel was not very fond of them, but Scarlet just absolutely loved them. So when it's time for Scarlet to come out and play, that's exactly what she does. Scarlet wondered what was she to expect this night. She had a feeling that it would be wonderful. Her kind of wonderful at least. And this made her smile, that evil smile of hers. She continued moving in the night, nothing but a shadow now. All Scarlet was doing was looking for a victim. This wasn't going to help the Slashers in anyway, and Rashel would get in trouble, but Scarlet wanted to have some fun. It would help if she found an unprepared Striker. She wouldn't get in too much trouble if she did. Plus it'd be twice as exciting. Strikers were always fun to mess with.
zexion/ienzo 52 Posted November 6, 2010 (Well I guess I'll continue from where I left off in my sample ^^') It was a crisp night in the mournful city of London, the air layered with a thin fog. It held an unnatural chill to it, the crescent moon hanging woefully in the inky sky, giving an eerie effect to the scenery. As the windows in all the structures were dimmed, the residents sound asleep, the silence was shattered like the most delicate porcelain by a bloodcurdling scream. Two shadows loomed in the mist, one a motionless lump and the other becoming clearer within the passing seconds. A fairly young girl with snow white skin that contrasted brilliantly with her simple black cloak, ash hair, and blood red eyes emerged, walking nonchalantly away from the scene. Behind her lay a man, crumpled and frail, his jaw hung open slack from fear. The petal pink lips curved up in a frightfully sadistic smirk. "Fear in itself is only a fragile state of mind. One that needs to be chewed and toyed at before finally...you break the holder. Because that is absolute pleasure for moi~" Destiny recited, her voice holding a disturbing lilt, a mere whisper, yet her words ringing as loud as the church bells that would sound for her victims funeral. However, as Destiny left behind the scene and the distance away from the desolate street increased, her smirk dropped to a deep frown, her brow furrowing just barely. "That was completely pointless." She murmured spitefully, her delicate fingers curling into a tight fist on either side of her. She had gained nothing from this kill tonight except the satisfaction of murder. Committing homicide, however, was not her job. It was to find it, the object they so desperately desired. Destiny inhaled deeply, soothing the pounding of her heart as her anger sparked just barely. When she was sure it wouldn't be fed any kindling she unclenched her tightly bound fists and noted she had already scaled past two streets. The man she had skillfully disposed of was rumored to have held valuable information about Devil Factor, yet it was nothing they didn't know already. It would aid them in their mission, yes that what he said. And that, was simply wasting her valuable time. Obviously it would aid the Slashers, she wasn't a simpleton to that fact. "Perhaps I should report back..." Destiny contemplated airily, ignoring the brisk wind that pricked at her skin.
Rosie 3 Posted November 6, 2010 Things hadn't gone so perfectly after all. Wiping blood from the side of his mouth, Zeph came to rest in an alley, sliding down to a sitting position with his back against one wall. The damp started to soak through to his back, and he grumbled under his breath. Tearing a slim scarred hand through the black tangles of his hair, he closed his eyes, trying to breathe evenly. Of course it had been a trick. He should have known things couldn't have been that easy. If anyone asked, he could always just lie, put on a brave face about it and say he'd lost the target. Right? zexion/ienzo 52 Posted November 6, 2010 Flicking some hair out of her vibrant eyes, Destiny calmly pressed the button on a small choker neck piece she had, sending a wavelength out to her fellow Slashers. "This is Luna. The lead in London was nothing more than a mockery. The source knew nothing, what's the status between the rest of you, if you can report?" She lifted her finger, awaiting a reply. It was the best she could do for the moment until she was given more leads. Destiny could only hope as she glanced up at the moon, which shed it's pale light on the streets, that the others weren't messing around and were actually making progress. Though that wasn't likely to be the case.
Rosie 3 Posted November 6, 2010 "This is Luna. The lead in London was nothing more than a mockery. The source knew nothing, what's the status between the rest of you, if you can report." Zeph buried his face in his hands for a long moment, stifling a louder groan. Then, flicking sweaty hair out of his eyes, he cleared his throat, tugging the sleeve of his jacket up so he could reach the band he wore around his wrist. "Ah, Luna. As if my night wasn't going well enough," he said, the side of his mouth twitching into a smirk as he pictured the expression he knew she'd be wearing at that point. "Storm here. And I got nothin', as usual. Well, I did approach a gorgeous young thing for information, but it turned out she wasn't a gorgeous young thing, but a midget in drag, who proceeded to rob me, so... I'll be mooching off you guys for a few weeks, which I know is a terrible shame since you have no taste whatsoever..." He sighed. "Am I babbling? I hate it when people babble, but I suppose the sound of my voice is something it's hard to tire of."
Koko 3,944 Posted November 6, 2010 Scarlet heard a voice in her ear, coming from the earpiece she wore all time, but usually had off. For some reason she forgot to disable it tonight. She turned up the volume a bit. "This is Luna. The lead in London was nothing more than a mockery. The source knew nothing, what's the status between the rest of you, if you can report." Of course, Scarlet didn't have anything to report. She wasn't exactly doing anything that would benefit anyone except maybe herself. "This is Scarlet, nothing to report. Just having some fun tonight." Against her better judgement, she just had to say something in response. Scarlet knew the other Slashers would hear her reply as well, if they were paying attention (which most of them did), and there was no doubt that she was going to get in trouble with the 'Superiors'. By now, everyone knew Scarlet's definition of fun, except for maybe the new ones. But maybe she just reported it because Rashel wanted her to get caught. Rashel didn't like Scarlet's games. She found it sick. But that's of course coming from the girl with two personalities. Rashel sighed, but Scarlet didn't care. It was in her nature. She wanted everyone to know about her games. And she wanted everyone to take part in them. She was little bit of a sadist and maybe even a masochist. But that was just Scarlet.
zexion/ienzo 52 Posted November 6, 2010 "Ah, Luna. As if my night wasn't going well enough," Luna narrowed her eyes as Storm's voice rang loud and clear through her transmission. The very expression she was wearing turned out to be quite the venomous scowl as she hissed in annoyance. He always rubbed her the wrong way, regardless of the warnings she gave him. "Storm here. And I got nothin', as usual. Well, I did approach a gorgeous young thing for information, but it turned out she wasn't a gorgeous young thing, but a midget in drag, who proceeded to rob me, so... I'll be mooching off you guys for a few weeks, which I know is a terrible shame since you have no taste whatsoever...Am I babbling? I hate it when people babble, but I suppose the sound of my voice is something it's hard to tire of." Luna rolled her blood red eyes, impatiently pressing a finely manicured nail against the neck piece. "Yes, you do have quite the horrible habit of doing so!" She snapped between clenched teeth, lips pursing dangerously as she glared at the innocent, twinkling stars above. "And how could you fall for such a thing? You're a Slasher for a reason, so I thought." Destiny pinched the bridge of her nose with her other hand, giving a heavy sigh. "Just report back to base after you collect yourself." Of course, she should have known better then to think storm of all people would succeed in anything. How could she let herself believe so. And to make matters worse she was soon after met with Scarlet's answer. "This is Scarlet, nothing to report. Just having some fun tonight." "You will not! Don't forget what happened last time!" Destiny spat, her voice low as to not attract the attention of any Strikers, though she was sure she hadn't heard or sensed any of them...
SuperPunk 13 Posted November 6, 2010 Astra walked through the streets of Venice. They had assigned her to this location along with other Strikers. No Striker was ever permitted to be left alone. Each squadron was assigned to a city here the Devil Factor might be found. The one thing that could destroy the whole world. The one thing they were supposed to find and erase. She paused. The moon in the night sky lit up the whole town and the river next to her. Astra sighed and pulled out her reciever. She whispered closely, just in case there were Slashers present. "Any Strikers present in Venice? This is Impulse. I repeat, are there any Strikers present in Venice?"
Koko 3,944 Posted November 6, 2010 "You will not! Don't forget what happened last time!" Scarlet rolled her eyes, wishing that Luna could see her expression now. How annoying some of her comrades could be. I mean, it was obvious that most of them wish they could take part in what Scarlet did, or some form of it. Half of them liked drawing out their victim's end, so how were Scarlet's mind games any different? A lot of the Slashers were very sadistic to say the least. What would you expect from those with the Mark of Darkness. Not sunshine and rainbows. Leave that to the naive Strikers and silly humans. "I can do what I want. Chill out Luna, I'll go easy on my prey this time." Scarlet said prey with a sort of venomous tone. She was the huntress, a lethal snake, and everyone else were the poor helpless mice. That's how Scarlet saw it in her mind. She wanted to chuckle, laugh at how her fellow Slashers tried to stop her - stop her from her fun that is - when her games were just getting ride of the Strikers. Temporarily at least. That's when she heaard soft whispering, unable to make out the words. She peaked out, to see who it was, ever so slowly, careful not to give away her hiding place. She grinned at the sight. A Striker, all alone. Just the perfect target. She slowly rose, her boots squeaking. "Shit!" she couldn't help herself from cussing. There goes the element of suprise. Rosie 3 Posted November 6, 2010 Once Luna had finished speaking, Zeph clutched a hand to his heart in mock hurt, even though he knew she wouldn't see it. "Ouch, Luna, now that stung," he declared, voice full of pretend agony. "You know you adore my blabberings, really. Of course you do. And, as for the incident, in my defense, that midget had amazing legs for a slimy hobo. Not that you'd know about an amazing figure..." He trailed off, scratching at the side of his face with a yawn. SuperPunk 13 Posted November 6, 2010 No answer... "Damn it." Astra sighed, turning back to walk off again. *squeak* In a flash, Astra turned. Her eyes widened at the sight. A slasher... She could feel her dark aura...It was so immense...She took a fighting stance and shot a fierce look at the girl. "Who are you? What do you want?" As if she didn't already know. She could take her, if bad went to worse. Still, she wanted at least ONE Striker to come and help...
Think Pink 1,967 Posted November 6, 2010 Skyler sang under her breath to herself. She pulled her windbreaker tighter around herself--dang it was cold out here. She could see a little cloud of white that was her breath. Shivering, Skyler closed her eyes. Nothing in the immediate future to worry about. There was another Striker here.. Thirty seconds before Skyler's reciever even beeped, she'd pulled it out. A little trick that came with being able to see the future. Someone's voice echoed static-like through the other end. "I repeat, are there any Strikers present in Venice?" It'd always amused Skyler how everyone sounded so formal, and she, being from the good ole' state of Kentucky, spoke nothing like them. "Skyler--I mean, Skylight, here,"
zexion/ienzo 52 Posted November 6, 2010 Destiny fumed at both of the Slashers' replies shot at her. However, she knew better then to reason with Scarlet. That girl was sadistic in her own nature. The last time someone got in the way of her "fun" she had to go scouting for new Slashers. She decided the one to be concerned, or rather, angry at -of course she never got angry, just annoyed- was Storm. "Honestly, are you trying to be clever?" She questioned, hiding her anger. She had enough practice to do so at least. When dealing with such an unruly group it called for such a skill. "How about instead of studying figures of women you try finding leads that will help us?!" She sighed, snapping her fingers, waiting for the okay to report to the base back in the Underworld. "We'll discuss this later. You don't want to be more of a failure then you already are." With that, she ended the transmission, lazily running her hand through her long black locks. This was not the time for arguements within the Slashers...not at all...
Koko 3,944 Posted November 6, 2010 "Looks like there's no way to spook you now." Scarlet said like she was just going to prank her. Scarlet, a prankster? As if. But she didn't want to scare the Striker. Not yet at least. She wanted to creep her out. Make her see things. Mess with her head. And then she would've revealed herself, messing with her even more, creating memories of horror. But all that was down the drain, thanks to her stupid, squeaky boots. "My damn boots ruined the suprise." Scarlet shrugged with indifference, not sure of what she could do now. She never really spoke to her victims face to face right off the bat. It was odd for her. SuperPunk 13 Posted November 6, 2010 Astra's stance regulated and she stood up straight. However, her expression didn't change. She still had that ferocity in her eyes. What was a Slasher doing trying to pick a fight? Shouldn't they avoid Strikers to avoid casualties? Then again, Slashers don't care as long as they get the Devil factor. 'Tactless.' She thought. Astra suddenly heard Skylers voice and froze. "Skyler." she whispered, airily. The Slasher heard, undoubtedly.Would she run away, or try kill her while she could? Should she pick up for help, or be ready for an attack? It was such a hard decision. Rosie 3 Posted November 6, 2010 "I consider it one of my many talents, Lu-" Zeph paused, realising she'd cut the transmission, and swore. "She hung up on me!" He exclaimed, incredulous, his voice bouncing back and forth between the walls of the alley. Huffing a theatrical sigh, he started to get to his feet. As he straightened up, he glanced back, and saw he'd been sitting in a puddle, which had soaked right through his jeans. "Oh, that's just perfect," he sighed, only able to pray the seat of his pants would have dried out by the time he ran into anybody.
Koko 3,944 Posted November 6, 2010 "Oh calling someone for help?" Scarlet sneered, laughing slightly. "Don't worry naive, young one. I don't plan on fighting you. I don't like getting my hands dirty. Especially when it's not necessary." Of course, Scarlet never really got into any fights. She left that to the others. She was trained in combat in all, but she never found the need to use it. As long as she could paralyze her enemy, that was good enough, wasn't it? "But I promise you, next time you encounter me, expect the ride of your life." Scarlet practicly cackled. Well not practically. She did cackle. She wasn't as sane as she seemed apparently. But who really was? The flash of red, interrupted her midlaugh. Without a goodbye, Scarlet disappeared back into the night.
zexion/ienzo 52 Posted November 6, 2010 As Luna waited for the 'okay' she closed her eyes, inhaling a chilly breath of air. She had not intended on such an unsuccessful night. their 'Superior' was sure to be angry at them for this horrible mistake. And she didn't like it when the 'Superior' was angry. Their leader was the only one Luna actually feared among the Slashers. Which is why she was so intent on everything being flawless, perfected. The first time (and last, as she vowed it to be) she ever made such a tremendous error that resulted in her being sent to the 'Superior'...was almost mentally scaring. Destiny was not about to let it happen again. So the rules she set made it nearly impossible. The main one however...was to show nothing but being collected. Finally, as she exhaled, a flash of red temporarily blinded her vision. Destiny need not worry about the flash being seen, only Slashers could see it. She nodded wearily, relaxing and stepping forward. Yet when she did, she disappeared, like she had never been there.
Rosie 3 Posted November 6, 2010 Zeph had only just trudged his way to the entrance of the alley, and was turning back onto the street, when the flash of red caught him by surprise. He stumbled off to the side, blinking hard and letting out a muttered stream of profanities as he tried to wait for the haze in his vision to fade. "Urgh, give a guy some warning!" he complained, very nearly stomping his foot like a toddler would. However, after a moment, he sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose between his thumb and forefinger. "Alright, alriiiiiiiiight, I'm coming," he groaned, dropping his hand from his face and letting himself head back.
SuperPunk 13 Posted November 6, 2010 Astra still glared as she walked away. What's her deal..? Was she for real? As soon as she was sure the Slasher was gone, she pulled out her receiver. "Skyler, you idiot! I almost got killed because of you." She yelled low. "Hurry up and go to the dock. I'll meet you there." With that, she put it away in her pocket again. zexion/ienzo 52 Posted November 6, 2010 Destiny sighed as she entered the base of the Slashers, the Underworld. Despite that though, it didn't seem like it belonged to such a "menacing" group. The walls were splattered with random drawings, pointless doodles really, and other stains that didn't quite conceal the dark maroon color the walls originally were. A few things lingered on the ground (a sketchbook, jacks, game consoles, gum, ect.) that belonged to the others. Destiny shook her head. While the others had belongings she knew they had close to know time to use them. And if they did, they clearly weren't working hard enough. Sitting on the black sofa that had seen it all in their twisted little group, Destiny closed her eyes, crossing her legs in a lotus position. Almost instantly the smell of a sweet meadow permeated her nose and she knew she was in her haven despite being in the base back in the Underworld in reality. She created an illusion inside her mind of utmost serenity as she focused. It had endless fields that scrolled over many hilltops and a dark, navy blue sky where the stars smiled down at her. In this moment of calm, Destiny allowed herself to do something only allowed when alone. She gave a small, pleasant smile.
Rosie 3 Posted November 6, 2010 Zeph strolled into the base, and was about to burst in with as much noise as possible in his usual obnoxious way, but when he saw Destiny. The smirk creeping across his face again, he slipped across the room, making as little noise as possible. Tiptoe-ing around the objects strewn across the floor, he made his way over to her, squeezing behind the sofa, all to lean in, right next to her ear. "Boo!" he snapped, as loudly as he could.
zexion/ienzo 52 Posted November 6, 2010 Destiny immediately erased her smile and replaced it with a thin line as she turned around, eyes open to hit him on the forehead. "Idiot," She snarled, her eyes shooting venomous daggers at Zeph. "I could hear you sneaking upon me! Sensitive hear remember?" She questioned, making it seem as if she were talking to a wall. "You're so immature..." She mumbled, undoing her lotus position and crossing her legs like a nice refined lady should. As if she was anything like that. Well, she was, but her sharp tongue completely killed it.
Koko 3,944 Posted November 6, 2010 It wasn't Scarlet that arrived at base but Rashel, her red hair down released from the dark cap. And it was Rashel who'd probably be scolded. She sighed to herself. She wasn't sure why she was basically two different people, but it really irritated her. It was Scarlet's fault so she should take the blame. Of course, since they're the same person, either way they would both get yelled at. It was really confusing. Rashel was nothing like Scarlet. She was just Rashel. She didn't know when Scarlet developed or if she had been there all along but now she had to put up with her. But then again, all the other Slashers had to put up with both of her personalities. She snapped out of her thoughts hearing Zeph and Destiny. Immediately she wanted to apologize to Destiny for going against orders. But that she wouldn't.
