Luna had pulled him away a little too quickly, and Zeph stumbled, but hoped she wouldn't really take much notice. It wasn't his fault it was already pretty easy to trip over his own feet, and the dark certainly wasn't paying him any favours. Assuming an injured air, Zeph didn't loosen his grip in the slightest, practically marching along, nose in the air.

"You wouldn't mind?" He turned to look at her for a moment, raising his eyebrows to mock her, before facing ahead again, fighting a smile. "And put my guard up? Just because you need to be always on edge when there are Strikers around. Some of us have such amazing talent we don't have to worry."

Destiny honestly felt that, had she not learned to keep a cool head whenever necessary, Storm wouldn't have survived this uneventful and slightly awkward walk. Hell, he probably wouldn't have lasted the second week of being a true Slasher. She was in awe you managed to do the training, let alone pass the selection test. Most didn't. She wriggled her shoulder like it was the most normal thing in the world and loosened his grip just slightly, much to her relief. Any longer and she'd have to forcefully shove him away. And that would require a force she didn't quite have. Destiny was more equipped to mental strength, not physical.

"Amazing talent? Please, I stay alert for reasons such as an ambush." Smirking slightly, Destiny conjured a perfectly harmless of an illusion, a small dagger, slicing through the dark and stopping with the sharpened point just barely at his neck, not daring to move it closer. Even if she found Storm incredibly despicable, she could never break his skin intentionally.

"And that's because, had that been a Striker's weapon, you'd be dead."

For a moment, Zeph was glad of the dark, because blood flushed to his face. Of course, after only a few seconds, he realised the gloom was only a problem for him, and that she could see just fine, and gave a genuine scowl, flicking his head so his hair fell out of his eyes. It was mostly because, he knew she was right. He really wasn't prepared. Not that he'd ever admit that in a million years.

"I saw it coming," he lied, voice wavering only slightly. "Had it been a Striker's weapon, I would have ducked, but since I knew it was most likely yours..."

Destiny saw the flush that had crept momentarily onto his face and the scowl that soon replaced his once haughty smirk. As always, she'd proven him wrong. With a mere thought the dagger disappeared in a silvery puff of smoke, wisping away in the sharp breeze that swept upon the streets of Venice. Immediately Destiny shivered, not appreciating the cold that seeped just barely into her cloak. It wasn't as rough as the winds she lived by on the caravel she nearly grew up on but it came close.

"Whatever you say Storm~" She cooed, despite the chill that ran through her, causing her to shiver and stutter slightly on her words, affecting the smooth texture of them.

Zeph walked along in silence for a few moments- it couldn't have been more than thirty seconds until he spoke again, but the silence felt incredibly long to him. He was so used to the sound of his own voice, it was an alien experience having only the whistling of the breeze in the background. Instead of straining to make out the shapes from the shadows ahead, he focused his gaze on his own feet. Then the quiet got too much for him, and with an overly dramatic deep breath, he started to hum. Loudly.

It was a hopelessly tuneless hum, hovering somewhere between "Puff the Magic Dragon" and a funeral march. Still, it was, to him, much better than stumbling along in silence.

Zeph could see the chill seemed to be bothering Luna a little, but felt none of it himself- he, after all, was wearing a multitude of layers, and his hooded jumper and jacket alone would probably have kept him warm by themselves.

Destiny looked at him, slightly perplexed and a little amused at the Slasher beside her. But she tried to cover it up with annoyance, which would be completely believable on her behalf.

"Storm, we're trying to c-catch the Strikers by surprise. Humming isn't exactly st-stealthy." She inwardly cursed the cold weather and the night for being so dark. But as she looked ahead she could see that they were coming upon their destination. The Temple of the Damned. She could feel the darkness radiating off of it intensely and tried not to let it overwhelm her, less her sadistic nature came out due to it's power.

"I beg to differ," Zeph broke off humming to speak. "Humming is exactly what none of them will expect a Slasher to be doing. Besides, I carry a wonderful tune." He started up again, the tune completely different. Though, that was because he couldn't remember the last one, and was pretty much tone deaf, so attempting anything recognisable as an actual song would cause him to fail miserably.

His humming trailed off as they started to approach the temple, though- he didn't stop, but it slowed considerably, dropping in volume the closer they got. Without really realising what he was doing, he shuddered.

Destiny turned to look at him slightly, her breath slightly labored but barely noticeable. she gave a twitch of her lips, the action causing them to for a luscious smirk. If she could get a few jabs at Storm in this state then this would be absolutely perfe--Damn it, She cursed inwardly, knowing that she was failing to control her inner sadist. And it was then she felt a cord string within her. Of course. This mission in itself was her and her partner's punishment. Their leader was trying to see if they'd mess up and bring disloyalty to the themselves. The 'Superior' was clever...

"Feeling a little cold Storm~?" Ugh, that sickeningly sweet tone in her voice disgusted even herself!

Hehehehe.Tonight was fun. Sai begins to gain consciousness. His eyes start to flicker, and the pale light emitting from the moon beams down onto his face. "Midnight. Perfect timing", Sai grumbles. He places his right hand on his aching head and feels something warm and wet on his hand. He pulls his hand from his head and looks down onto it. Blood. Sai then looks down onto the pavement he is laying on, and realizing he is sitting in a pool of blood. He immediately jumps up and investigates the area. Two mutilated human bodies lay on either side of him. "Looks like he had a lot of fun", Sai says as he wipes some chunks off of his boots onto the pavement.

A device in his pocket begins to vibrate violently. Sai pulls the pager out and reads the message that he was just sent. "Takune, get your ass to that temple pronto", it read. Sai puts the pager back into his pocket and shrugs. "I guess I have to go." He closes his eyes in concentration, and in an instant, two black leathery wings emerge from his back. Sai opens his eyes, and his wings begin to flap. His body is slowly lifted off of the ground. Sai takes one final look at the dead bodies before he flies off into the night sky.

"You seem to be enjoying yourself, all of a sudden," Zeph snapped in response, finally letting go of her. Despite the fact the light was still dim, and he still could barely make out anything even when he squinted in a vain attempt to improve his eyesight, he was overwhelmed with the urge not to touch her- not to trust her.

Because he couldn't trust anyone.

How had he come to forget that, after all these years?

Grinding his teeth together, he wrapped his arms around his waist, effectively hugging himself. Even in the gloom, it was probably apparent he'd paled considerably, his dark hair startlingly black by comparison.

Skyler shivered. It wasn't much warmer at the Temple of the Damned. She and Astra stood not far outside. Skyler, though she wouldn't admit it, was a little afraid to get any closer. She didn't believe in those myths at all--honest--but something about the place seemed... off. Spooky. Evil. Skyler swallowed, refusing to let herself be afraid, and glanced around the dark night.

A vision slammed into her at full force. She hadn't been calling for this one. Three Slashers, sneaking around the Temple of the Damned.. Her vision was tinted with crimson--that usually meant action or romance, and seeing the Slashers, she was assuming the first. Skyler wanted to warn Astra, but she couldn't speak, existing more in her vision than with her friend. They were talking--she couldn't tell if the manner was playful and annoyed. She put two and two together, seeing the exact same shape of cloud taking form around the moon.. the shape of a cat.. that she'd looked up and seen just a moment ago. Skyler snapped back to herself. She felt dizzy, and gushed. "A-Astra! Slashers!"

After about an hour of flight, Sai sees a temple in the distance. "I've seen that place before", Sai whispers to himself as he hovers to get a better view of the place. Memories start to flash in his head. But then again, he remembers that he has never been outside of that place ever since he was a child. So they must be his memories.

As Sai prepares to land, he starts to sniff the air. A sweet smell inters his nostrils, and he begins to smile. "Strikers", he says with emphasis. Oh what joy he would have dismembering one of those. As Sai lands on the outside grass of the temple, his "D" eye begins to emit a curious gleam of gold.

(I wasn't expecting that, now I'm curious about Storm~)

Destiny narrowed her blood red eyes, her hand reaching to touch the spot where he had clung to, acting as if his touch had been acid to her skin, like he had physically hurt her. The onyx haired girl's lips twisted into a twisted into a thin line, her whole appearance darkening just barely.

"Maybe it's because I don't have to touch you anymore!" That was half true, half false. She didn't really despise him that much. In fact--though she'd never admit it--Destiny almost missed the small warmth she had been provided with by him, despite how much he annoyed her...No one ever felt the need to cling to her, even as a child. But, as the Darkness affected her state of mind just slightly, she thought different.

It wasn't as if she needed to be touched or to share the warmth of another. She never did and never will.

Even still, she resisted the urge to lash out on her fellow Slasher. She wouldn't let herself.

"Shooot," Skyler muttered, exhaling loudly. Her vision was so blurred, still lined with crimson, that the puffy white cloud that floated up looked almost like a red face glaring at her, its eyes teasing, "you'll never get out of here~". "C-C'mon," She stammered, feeling her senses spike automatically, while the rest of her felt like she could flop down in bed and never wake up. Her head hammered--two visions this close together? Then the gloom of the night, being around a spooky mansion, and seeing through what seemed to be a veil of blood? Skyler was starting to psych herself out.

"Astra, we've got to get in there and search fast. There are Slashers coming. I-I don't know how many, but they outnumber us. They didn't seem to be getting along. They are all armed, and coming for us. I'm sure of it," Her voice didn't waver. "If we try to search with them after us, what if we find something and they try to steal it?"

Astra paused for a moment, pensive of her reply.

"If they're coming, we might have to fight them. I dunno, Skyler. We fight for peace but... this is more than that."

She stepped back and and walked towards the door, but didnt leave. Instead, she looked at it and placed her hand on the handle.

"I don't normally use my powers...but..."

A glow appeared from her grip. When she released the handle the glow still lingered. "That should hold for a little... I hope. Let's go look."

Though she'd never admit it aloud, Skyler was nervous. She hesitated before taking a step towards Astra. "Um.. Maybe we should.." 'Should what?' She snapped at herself mentally. Of course, Skyler totally didn't believe any of those myths, but..

"Should we set something else up? Are you thinking we'll go inside, and they can't get in because of whatever you did to that handle?" Skyler raised her eyebrows questioningly. "What if they break a window or something?"

((derp, I'm just going to randomely come in))

And put your guards up, both of you.

Rashel snapped her mind back into focus, completely lost by now and practically forgotten.

'Stop daydreaming,' Scarlet said, sneering it, and making Rashel feel inferior almost. Being intimidatedby yourself. That was an all time low.

Rashel hadn't noticed how far she had actually fallen back by now. She barely saw Zeph and Destiny in the distance.

She broke into a jog, to catch up with them, that didn't take very long actually.

Zeph was no longer clinging to Destiny, like Rashel had noticed he was doing before.

"Did the love birds get in a fight again?" Scarlet teased.

Rashel was shocked, suprised that she couldn't supress Scarlet and stop her from saying that.

That was very uncommon, she usually had some control over herself. But for just a moment she lost it.

Rashel almost slapped a hand over her mouth, but instead resorted to mentally scolding herself. She really shouldn't make fun of her fellow Slashers. Scarlet might not be scared of them but Rashel kind of was.

Destiny's dangerous eyes flared reluctantly onto Scarlett. How dare she?! The onyx haired girl attempted to seal her lips shut, maybe to just get her quiet long enough to think of a solution. But she had no such luck, her fueled irritation coming off in strong waves from her slender figure.

"You'd do well to hold your tongue Scarlett!" She spat, no different then her usual tone, albeit somewhat strained but that was only because she was holdig back. This conflict should've been expected...Why hadn't I seen this coming...? Destiny questioned herself, struggling to keep her calm faccade up and hold her tongue to stop from saying anything unnesecary...Something she'd regret...

"I made it so that the door is the only way they can come in. If they try to break in, they'll be paralyzedfor at least three hours. I don't want to hurt them without them doing something to me first."

She walked past Skyler, looking around as she stepped. She stopped when she reached a big painting of an angel, descending upon a human. "Remember what we're fighting for..."

"This is a mission now. Got it?" And with that, she opened the door to the next room.

"Mission, right..." Skyler echoed half-heartedly. Sure, she was excited, but what if they found what they were looking for? She wanted as badly as anyone to find the Devil Factor, but what if it wasn't what she and Astra were prepared to find? What if it was something totally out of their league? She bit her lip, and walked inside. What could possibly go wrong? and all that shizz. "Should we split up, since they can't get in?"

(FFUUU-Okay~ Have a good time at the concert Rosie~ :D)

Destiny noticed Storm's behavior, how his breathing became irregular and in short spurts, and how his body language showed he wanted to leave. How he wanted to protect himself from...from what? The darkness was blocking her thought process tremendously. Not only that but it was causing that malicious smirk to curl fluidly onto her lips again, her eyes reaching that dangerous state, the sadist in her boiling and craving for the sweet screams of terror to ring throughout the night. Without realizing it, Destiny found herself walking coyly towards Storm's insecure (?) form.

"What's wrong~? Feeling a little tense?" She teased, a finger but to her cheek in mock thought as she pretended to care.

(( Muahahahahahaaaaa! We're in the car on our way home. :'D ))

"Piss off and leave me alone," Zeph tried to snarl in response, but his voice was cracking painfully, falling and rising erratically as he fought to control it. If anything, he hugged his arms tighter to his body, thinking that maybe clenching his teeth might stop them chattering, might even his breathing out even just a touch.

It didn't.

(YOU LIVE! How was the concert?)

Destiny snickered, continuing her smooth stride towards him.

"Please, is that anyway to talk to someone you were just clinging to?" She mocked lightly, standing now a few feet away from his body. She didn't realize how her voice cut through the air, how she was dripping bitterness."That's a shame coming from you?"

(Fail reply is fail.)

(( *n* It was amazing and a half. But practically MINUTES after I sent that post, my dad wanted to use his iPhone for music, so we ended up having Paramore on incredibly loud for the two and a half hours it took us to get out of the car park. :'D It was awesome but it pretty much doomed any attempt I had at getting on the internet... [/shot] ))

Zeph threw her a weak glare, unable to fully mask the flicker of fear in the back of his amber eyes. How irritating it was to be able to change his appearance, and yet not be able to hide anything to do with his emotions. He could wear anyone
