Dranzer247 0 Posted November 15, 2019 Alright, so I've just recently bought the Story So Far, currently replaying KH1, and I've never played the Final Mix before. While looking up guides for the new Heartless for Synthesis Items, I discovered that apparently people have been struggling to reach 100 hits on the Pink Agaricus for years (the latest text guides I've found are from 2013-15). But since I had to beat on this thing anyway, I decided to give it a shot. In my initial run for Synthesis drops, I only ever managed to reach 50-60 hits on the thing, and after seeing people say it should be stopped for about 20 seconds and realizing I was barely getting 10, I concluded that I was limited due to my MP being so low (Only 8 at the time.) So fast forward a few hours, I've finished my Synthesis List, beaten the Ice Titan, and beaten the game, but realized I never went back and conquered this dude. So I head back to Deep Jungle, throw on some gear, and... reach 100 first try. I thought I was a bit short until I saw the Prime Cap in my feed, was astounded, and tried it again. Another 100, easy. I'm not sure if this is common knowledge at this point, doable due to a patch, or what, but here's my guide on how to easily whoop this shroom. You'll need: Diamond Dust Keyblade, Stopga and Aeroga, the Ragnarok limit, an Atlas Armlet and 2 Cosmic Arts (or multiple Atlas), at least 15 max MP, and Goofy's MP Gift ability and the Encounter Plus ability are helpful, but not strictly necessary. You need to set Donald and Goofy's behaviors to Occasionally in Customize, except for Goofy's Support Actions, which should be on Constantly if you want the MP Gift. So here's the actual play: 1. Hit your 3 White Mushrooms and get set up in front of the Big Boy (I like to use an Ether immediately after the 3rd mush to ensure I've got enough MP) 2. Cast Aeroga on Sora, lock on to the Agaricus's Head, and then cast Stopga when it's finished its dance and its hands are its sides(! It's very likely you will get stuck underneath its elbow while casting Ragnarok if they're raised) 3. Immediately activate Ragnarok, and when Sora begins to charge the burst you need to hit Impact after about 1 second (you can tell visually by when the sphere is at the largest and brightest possible point) to get the most projectiles possible. 4. As soon as you hit the ground, launch into a combo. I like to get a full 3 hits, which launches Hurricane Blast, and then 2 more, which lets you land right as Ragnarok ends. Use Ragnarok again immediately, then just repeat those 2 steps. You should be able to get off 3, but I've found that even not finishing the 3rd will get you enough. The main distinctions I've seen between this and other guides are that you don't need to get Donald and Goofy stuck, and the 2 biggest factors for success here are 1) Your position and timing with Ragnarok's burst, which you can practice easily in Merlin's House or over a few attempts, and 2) Your Equipment. You receive a Great Magic Boost from Diamond Dust, a Significant one from the Atlas Armlet, and Average ones from the Cosmic Arts, which all extend your Stop duration. I came very close to reaching 100 with only one Cosmic Arts or the Shiva Belt instead, but this method ensures you should easily reach it. This a decent XP grind, netting 5,050 each time, along with 3-5 Serenity Powers, the Prime Caps, and lots of Hi-potions and Ethers. Unfortunately, even with the extended Stop you can't finish off the one in Atlantica since you can't use limits, I was only able to make it to 64 hits. Perhaps with 3 Atlas Armlets? Just for reference, I accomplished this on my level 86 Sora, on a Proud Mode +Shield -Sword Playthrough.
