The group went home only a few minutes later, preparing for the next day. Sora was told to secure the supplies since there was a storm brewing, and was supposed to hit the Island soon. He made sure everything was safe, and stood.

 

But then...

 

The wind picked up, the clouds swirled above his head and the sky darkened. Sora shuddered, thinking the storm was close....But it wasn't. He turned to walk back, and a creature was there. It didn't look like an animal. Just a...creature. "Hey there...little guy," He reached out to pet it, only to get lunged at. "Wh-Whoa!!"

Riku allowed the wind to whip around his delicate hair, his vision not being blinded by the raging air. The sky darkened and he could see the little black spots rising up, fueled by the shadows.

 

"The door...is open."

 

Miyu sat up as something rattled her window and she looked around, eyes widened in fright. What was that? Looking out the window she noticed the wind and storming hail.

 

Sora...She hopped up immediately, tying her hair up in two pig-tails, and running out to help Sora.

 

She didn't notice the shadows clumping outside her window.

Haku was the first to get to Riku. "Riku...what the hell is...!?" He was cut off. He was too close to Riku, and was immediately pulled into the ground, stringy black fingers coiling around his ankles and pulling him under. He made no other noises.

 

Sora, surrounded by the black creatures, grabbed a nearby wooden sword that he and Riku used to fight with. He swung it around, but...nothing. He decided to push through, realizing that the makeshift weapon was useless. But something was bound to damage them.

Riku turned, bnoticing Haku's struggle. He paid no mind to the darkness at his own feet and knelt down to Haku, face void of emotion as he tilted his chin up delicately.

 

"Don't fight against the Darkness Haku, embrace it." He whispered before returning to full height and watching the male. From a distance he could see Sora runing towards him...and another. He frowned. How irritating.

 

Miyu panted, hugging herself to block the winds around her. She could hardly see anything but shadows, some moving unnaturally. But she didn't sty to find out what they were. She could see someone running up ahead and she tried to push herself further. They had brown hair.

 

"S-S-Sor-a!"

(I would have jizzed in all the Heartless's faces if Riku did that to me. )

 

Sora knew who it was. He turned to her, beckoning for her to follow him. "Miyu! Follow me!" He said, going straight for Riku up ahead. He was in the spot where he usually was, back to the sunset, and a stoic look on his face. The two were soon up to his level, Sora on the verge of begging for him to come back.

 

"Riku...What is all this?" He asked.

(IKR ? I would have been all "take me now Riku" and stuff )

 

Riku eyed Sora lightly a small smirk creeping onto his lips as he made a small sweeping motion with his hand. Immediately Darkness coiled around Sora's ankles as well, the tendrils snaking up his legs. Miyu yelped in shock, going to over to help him before she stumbled and was met with the same fate of Darkness tightening around her waist and arms, bounding her to the ground as she struggled. Riku simply held out his hand to Sora, eyes gleaming as he neither reached for the brunette nor pulled away. All he did was give a soft 'hm', as he was amused.

 

(I know its not exactly how it happened but good enough, right?)

Sora reached out, trying so desperately to take his hand. But Riku had already disappeared, leaving Sora and Miyu there, the darkness still coiled where they were, though it had ceased pulling them. It was just...there.

 

"R-Riku..." And Sora wept.

Riku didn't care as he left them to wallow in darkness, allowing the Darkness to swallow him up. When he re-opened his aqua eyes he was surprised to see himself in a small waste-land like place, though not alone. Haku lay next to him, awake he didn't know.

Miyu watched, hope fading as Riku vanished. With much effort she wriggled one arm free, reaching far enough to brush the brunette's shoulder. As much as she to was upset...they needed to get out.

 

"Sora...come on, w-we have to get out of here." She pleaded, upset that they were trapped. "Please!"

Haku was unconscious, shaky breaths escaping his lips.

Sora and Miyu had slipped into blissful sleep eventually, and Sora was the first to awaken. He found himself in an alley way, dumped next to a few crates. "Kairi...? R-Riku...?" Then he remembered...Riku was taken by those things. And Kairi...he didn't exactly know what became of her.

Riku looked at him, debating between waking him and leaving him there to sleep. For who knows how long...Rolling his eyes he gave him a hard poke in the shoulder several times, glaring at his body.

 

"Get up."

Miyu was soon stirred awake by Sora's call for their best friends, glancing around. She rubbed one eye, a little obliviously before realizing they weren't in Destiny Islands.

 

"S-Sora?...Where are we?"

Haku slowly came to his senses, seeing familiar turquoise eyes in his sights. "Riku? Where...?" His voice was confused abd afraid as he noticed that Riku was glaring at him. "I-I'm sorry, Riku...Wh-Whatever I did, I'm sorry."

Sora looked around. A town. It wasn't like anything like their island though. Not even close. "I don't know..." He said softly, sitting up and leaning on one of the crates.

(Sorry, I got yelled at bymy dad and am now grounded for 1 week. No DSi. And technically no computer...when he's not home ^^')

Riku scoffed, getting up to examine the surrounding area. He didn't know where he was really, but he had a good hunch. It seemed as though they were emerged in a town of Darkness, the street lights as dim as they come.

 

"Why apologize? You did what I told you to," He said with a slight smirk. "You gave into the Darkness." Riku stated, craning his head to look at Haku. "Isn't it wonderful?"

Miyu held in a distressed moan, clearly not appreciating the uncertainty of this all. See? See?! Didn't she tell them something might go wrong? That this was a bad idea? Oh but no one except Haku listened, ooooooooooooooh no! She kneeled down, shaking her head as she examined the place.

 

"How...what...Do...Do you think Haku and them are okay?" She asked, swallowing the bitterness she felt at the mere thought of Riku's name. He had just left them there...

Haku was silent for a second. "No." He replied.

Sora looked at her as he stood. "I sure hope so." He said sadly. He wondered...Why would Riku choose darkness...Over his own friends.

Riku quirked an eyebrow, looking back down at the teen, clearly confused...and irritated.

 

"What do you mean 'no'. It's perfect here."

Biting her lip Miyu decided this wasn't the happiest topic. And she knew Sora was being sad. SO she grabbed his arm and began to drag him out of the alleyway, putting on a fake smile.

 

"C'mon Sora, maybe they're somewhere in the town! It's worth a shot to look, right?"

Haku, wildly out of character, backed up and away from Riku. "What's so great about this, huh?! Kairi and Sora and Miyu... We may not ever see them again! This isn't... How I want to be...."

Sora followed her reluctantly, realizing that she may be right. If they looked hard enough, maybe they could reunite with them. This couldn't take that much time, could it? I mean, how big could these 'Worlds' be? It was worth a shot to at least try... "Oh, okay. Should we split up...?"

Riku's calm demeanor didn't falter as he listened to Haku and watched the teen back up away from him. He knew he may be coming off as crazy, that Haku would probably never trust him again, but big whoop. The male had no choice if he wanted to live. So Riku leaned down and pulled Haku up with two fingers rested gently under his chin.

 

"Obviously it is because I do recall telling you to give in to the darkness, If you hadn't, you'd be with the others. But it seems you would rather be with me."

Miyu thought for a moment, fiddling with her shirt sleeve. As much as she didn't want to be left alone, the blond knew it'd be best for the two of them to split temporarily. She nodded, pointing in the direction of some doors across the odd new town they were in.

 

"S-Sounds good. I'll check that section and houngan check the others." Miyu clarified, already defying away to find their friends.

 

((To make this easier, we'll cut to when Sora finds Donald and Goofy to save time. That way you don't have to go through all the nonsense except for the boss level here ^^'))

Haku snapped, swatting Riku's hand away and narrowing his gray eyes darkly, beginning to take on a whole new aura -- a dangerous one. "I did that because I was scared! I didn't know where to go, how to get out of this... You seemed to make going with you the only option so I took what I can get! And now I'm regretting it..." Haku admitted, panting from the slight raisement of his voice right there... Never has Haku ever used that tone of voice with anyone before.

Sora nodded, going his seperate way.

Sora held his keyblade, eyeing the two animals curiously. After a bit of confusion, he spoke up. "Oh... I'm Sora." He jumped up a bit, remembering his friendhad gone another way. "Ah, you have to meet Miyu."

Riku's aquamarine eyes widened in surprise at the outburst and the harsh tone used with him. As kids growing up Haku was usually the one to hold his tongue; to stay quiet and reserved. Sure he still played like a boy and whatnot but this was something very different...He had never seen that glint in his eyes either. Instead if remaining silent though, Riku smirked, motioning towards Haku with one arm widely.

 

"Listen to yourself. Snapping so quickly, that's the Darkness in your heart taking over. And as for your appearance, well, you should see yourself. You actually look a bit intimidating~" Classic Riku to taunt and petranize someone is such a dire situation...

Donald look skeptically at Sora, arms (wings?) crossed curtly.

 

"Your fwriend? I shtought you could't fwind your fwriends." He said pointedly, exchanging looks with his clueless companion Goofy.

 

Meanwhile, Miyu collapsed to the ground, panting.

 

"I-I think they're gone." She whispered to herself, looking back in the direction she came from. However, she let out a shriek of terror when she faced forward and found herself face to face with a large, armored, looming shadow.

Haku shook his head, restraining a growl at Riku. "No, I've always wanted to come out with how much you're a manipulating asshole. Those people you call your friends were just pawns in this firetrucked-up game if yours... How could you do such a thing? Oh, that's right; because you don't know the value of love. They loved you Riku. And you could've just thrown that all away for your own gain? ...You make me sick." Haku hissed.

 

((Actually that whole 'playful' demeanor he had was a lie. This is what he's really like. ))

"Well..." Sora gave a sad smile. "She's the only one I have left... Three of them could be anywhere..." He muttered softly, snapping back to reality. "She went this way."

Goofy shot a worried look at Donald.

Now Riku grew a bit annoyed, looming over Haku threateningly, even while standing. Who was he to tell him what he knew and what he didn't know. What did Haku know about who he loved or if he even loved. Riku grabbed the teen by the collar of his shirt, bringing their faces closer together.

 

"You know nothing about me and why I did what I did. If I didn't 'love' any of you, or care about any of you why would I have tried getting us to other Worlds? I meant when I said I wanted to explore with the rest if you. It just so happened the Darkness came along and that is something that doesn't concern you. Know your place Haku." Riku growled, raising his hand to slap the male before stopping, feeling a menace appear behind them. It felt so...human but not at the same time. He dropped Haku as the cold female voice rang out.

 

"Well, well, well. Who do we have here?"

Donald gave an annoyed sigh but followed after Sora's form anyway, pulling Goofie along. They just needed the key to find their King. Was that so much to ask for? Apparently, yes.

 

Miyu dodged a viscous swipe aimed at her, limbs going numb. She had gotten hit once or twice and was pretty battered. And she had no way to defend herself. Where was he?

 

"Sora! Help!"

Haku didn't make so much as a flinch as he was pulled up by Riku, only to be dropped on the ground below. He fell with a 'nph,' looking up at Riku, who had faltered because of...someone else.

Sora perked up immediately at the sound of her cries, his keyblade appearing in his hand. "Miyu!"

There in front of Riku was a tall woman with a long billowing, black cloak with purple cloth on the collar. Her skin was tinted green and her hair was shaped like two bull horns growing out of her skull. She smiled coyly, gliding over to Haku and outstretching a nimble hand.

 

"Hello children," She down at Riku. "I am Malficent."

Miyu looked behind her quickly to see Sora with some strange new weapon in hand. What...was that thing? It didn't matter though as she got to her feet and ran, trying to get to her brunnete friend. However, her tuning capabilities hadn't improven much over the years since she was a child and the Heartless was quickly approaching behind her.
