Riku paled dramatically, head whipping to look at the teen. How did he know he opened the door? That couldn't be right...no one should have known right? But instead of voicing his worry he get a hardened gaze fixated on Haku.

 

"And what reasons do you have to hide things from your friends?"

"I'm Clayton, nice to meet you chum. Here to hunt the gorrillas?" He asked, giving a cruel grin, beady eyes dismayed slightly. Miyu backed away, looking incredulously at the man and then at Tarzan.

 

"You're hunting them?!" Clayton quickly covered his words.

 

"Of course not, little miss, that's a term used for, er, examining them."

"When I tried to, it was too late... Even if I did, I don't think they'd believe me. I tend to make up stories like that." Haku stayed nonchalant in knowing about the door. To be honest, he had underestimated its threat...

Breaking into the conversation, Sora cut in to change the subject. "No, we're looking for our friends... Have you heard or seen anyone named Riku, Kairi or Haku?"

Riku gave a slight nod. That was true, Haku did like to play what would be called make believe a lot as a kid. He vaguely remembered on time when he said he could make a fire with a piece of gum, a rock, and a Junior Mint he had found in Kairi's pocket. Obviously that wasn't true. But they'd have to believe it sooner or later that Haku really was a bit of a bastard...

 

"True, true. Remember that time you said you could make a spark with a rock, gum, and candy?" Riku chuckled. "That was pretty funny."

Clayton shook his head, crossing his fingers behind his back. Malificent had ordered that none of them were even allowed to consider entertaining Sora and his friend information on The others, being the Princess of Heart, Riku and Haku. "Neve heard of 'em." Miyu gave a crestfallen look, slumping her shoulders gently.

Haku couldn't help but smile back a bit, the moment quickly diminishing. "I guess it was... But," He sighed, getting up and moving to the other side of the room sullenly. "Right now isn't the time for looking back on fond memories, as much as I hate to say it. This Maleficent woman... Do you really trust her?" He asked, knowing that they were out of earshot.

Sora smiled, trying to look on the bright side. "Well, if they're not here, we're sure to find them somewhere else... It couldn't be that hard to look through the worlds."

Riku watched in slight disappointment as Haku got up and moved away from him. It was as if he was afraid to stay by him for to long.

 

"I'm...yes, I guess. She did take us from that in-between place earlier." Riku admitted, looking over at Haku. "Is it really tha necessary to sit over there?"

Miyu nodded, still a bit reluctant to admit that this world was a bit of a waste. How could this happen, how could...how could they get separated like this?

Haku rolled his eyes again. "Don't change the subject. As I was saying, I don't think we should trust her... She has a bad aura about her..."

If they didn't have to do anything else, then perhaps they should leave... But who knows?! Maybe the others were there, just not near any civilization? "We should keep on combing this place."

Riku blinked.

 

"Don't trust her? Why? She saved us didn't she? And maybe she can help us fond Kairi and them." Riku reasoned, making a move to cross ove to where Haku was. He'd never admit it but it was a bit lonely to not have him next to him. At least then he knew he would be listening to him.

Miyu nodded, holding her new staff tightly and looking around.

 

"Okay...but if we don't find anything..." She exhaled heavily, heading towards a path on the side that lead to a clearing. She didn't understand why Sora wasn't as weary about the people here. Especially that Clayton dude. Who was watching her the whole time as she walked away.

 

"We should head this way."

"It's not that," Haku shook his head, ignoring Riku's shift in positions. "Someone could save you and still be a bad person. My gut feeling is that she isn't at all what she seems like..." He paused, seemingly deep in thought. "By the way, what's with you and moving next to me? Can't I sit alone?"

Sora blinked, following after her, keeping his keyblade out just in case something would surprise them. "Oh...Okay, sure."

Riku paused, stopping his movements. Well he wasn't about to go all softy on Haku right now in this dark room with the two of them alone together...((WHOOT!))

 

"I guess you have a point. But for the moment I think we should trust her, get to know what she's like before making a judgement. And I feel like you don't...want to sit by me because you're afraid or something. I dunno', what's wrong with me sitting next to you?

"To be honest, I don't like to have someone right next to me like this." Haku admitted, scooting aside just a bit so that there was more space between them.

Riku raised an eyebrow, resting his forearms on his knees while thinking back and still looking at Haku.

 

"You didn't seem to care when we were younger. Hell half the time one of us would fall asleep on your lap and you'd be fine with it..."

They had been searching the whole World with the assistance of Tarzan and Donald and Goofy and still Miyu and Sora were left empty handed. They hadn't had any luck with the gorillas giving information either unfortunately and it seemed all that was left to do was head to the next World. At least that's what Miyu had been thinking a good ten minutes earlier. Now, she and Sora were standing defensively in front of some of the primates lingering, Clayton's gun aimed at them. Tarzan was already down and the blond wasn't sure she could even be so brave as to take a bullet. But one thing was certain. Clayton was not the same as he had been before.

"You forget that even then, it was all a lie. I hate being surrounded by people, even if they're my friends. I like to have a bit of space to myself." He said, looking down at the ground below, pinning some black hair behind his ear.

"Clayton... What happened to you?" Even though he was a dick before, this was a little extreme. As Clayton fired at him, Sora was able to dodgeroll and get a few decent hits in. As Sora thought the battle was over, he was horribly mistaken...

Riku scooted himself closer next to Haku, looking down at him. All of it was a lie? Rikubrefused to belief that. The silver haired teen positioned himself in frontmof Haku, staring into his gray eyes carefully.

 

"Why do I doubt that? All those adventures we played, all those times we hid in cramped spaces together, all those days we would just lay next to each other on the beach, the 5 of us, it was all a facade on your behalf?" Riku asked lowly, not realizing that he was subconsciously leaning closer to Haku.

Miyu watched as Claytpn halted in his shooting, pulling back his weapon momentarily to step towards the large stone wall. Vibrations came from all around and suddenly rock scattered as a defining howl brisk through the air. Miyu ducked any oncoming boulders, overing her ears and crawling next to Sora.

 

"What is that thing?!"

((You're gonna make Riku punch him or knock him out or something...You're gonna trick me, I know it. OR MALEFICENT WILL WALK IN OR SOMETHING. Meanie. ;_; ))

 

Haku looked away, refusing to look at Riku... Was he getting closer to Haku? It seemed like he was... "Don't think I didn't enjoy being with you guys all the time, it's just..."

"I-I don't know!" Sora yelped, ducking instinctively. "I-I can't see it!" Sora rolled around a bit, dodging a few swipes. It was hard to do when he didn't know where the mystery beast would attack next. Sora took a deep breath, aiming his keyblade. Before he could do any magic, he was pushed aside roughly by an invisible hand. "Ow!"

Riku placed a hand on Haku's cheek, moving his face towards his own again, locking bright aqua with gray. They were only a few breaths apart now. Even Riku wasn't sure what was coming over him.

 

"Its just what Haku?" He questioned, his other hand on the floor to steady himself.

"Sora!" Miyu managed to move fast enough to duck the hand swinging around. Donald was in the back with Goofy, keeping Clayton distracted. There has to be a weak point...If it's invisible...Miyu hurried over to Sora, a claw skimming her cheek as she squeaked and clung to his shirt. "M-Maybe you should find a way to make it appear and findnits weak point--" She was cut off by the tail of the creature being spun around and getting her square in the stomach.

((Maleficent would be all like, "FOOLS! DO THAT SOMEWHERE ELSE BUT FOR GOODNESS SAKES, NOT IN MY FORTRESS!!"))

 

"Riku..." Haku closed his eyes, leaning forward, using a hand to keep himself in place while the other moved to his hair. ((UNF.)) Why was he doing this?

Sora expertly caught her, carrying her to a definite safe spot. "Wait here." He hurried back to what he was doing. He quickly aimed correctly, hitting the monster (which turned out to be a chameleon) with weak, yet strikingly effective thunder magic. Sora repeated the process until it showed itself, swaggering at it with his keyblade.

The weight supported by his hand was shifted to his knees as he used that hand to intertwine their fingers together, Riku's nose brushing against Haku's. He could feel the teens hand find a place in his hair and Haku's heartbeat was pounding out of his chest. Riku's lips just barely connected with the teen's before he kissed Haku a bit deeper, holding the teen in place. It would have proceeded had the silver haired teen not pulled away abruptly due to the lock clicking and Maleficent entering the room.

 

"Children? I have news of your friend."

Miyu watched meekly as Sora began to attack the Chameleon until it appeared, writhing around in irritation. And she saw it. A little heartless emblem on it's chest.

 

"Sora there!" She yelled, pointing desperately to the black and red symbol.

Haku had just been melting into their kiss, his normally tense body features relaxing into comfort. He was disappointed when he had to break away suddenly, Maleficent entering the room. Haku was blushing, trying not to stutter as she was done speaking. "We're listening,"

Sora saw it, immediately running to his target, ducking any attacks on the way. He hit the defining symbol a few good times, the chameleon giving a few cries of pain before falling over on it's side, Clayton along with it. "...Is it dead?"

Maleficent raised an eyebrow questioningly at the two teens but didn't say anything instead continuing on while glancing at Riku.

 

"Your friends, Sora and Miyu, are alright. Some of my...sources say they are alright. But, they're not alone," She turned around, cloak billowing as she eyed them malevolently. "It appears that they have abandoned you two." With that she was gone. Riku was speechless.

 

"...No."

Miyu staggered out of her hiding spot, coming up behind Sora and using Goofy to hold herself up a bit easier. That tail hurt like hell!

 

"I...I think so--" She wad cut off as a large heart rose from the chameleon and floated into the air, disappearing once it was far enough in the sky. "You did it." Miyu sighed, looking at the creature slowly disappearing. "This is a lot more than what we thought would happen..."

Haku narrowed his eyes. He knew better than to listen to something so absurd. That wasn't true; it definitely wasn't true! Sora and Miyu would never abandon them. They promised to stay together. Miyu especially wasn't one to break a promise so strict. He took note of how Kairi wasn't mentioned, but ignored that for now... Maleficent was definitely lying!

 

"Bullshit," he muttered under his breath coldly.

Sora couldn't help but think; what exactly had caused all this chaos in the first place? These Heatless... Everything was so weird lately. "If we want to find the others, then we should go to the next world."

Riku looked over at Haku, deep in thought. It was hard for him to focus (he was still feeling the rush from that kiss) but he had a hunch the teen was right.

 

"You think so? I think we'd know then well enough to know they wouldn't just leave us..." He hoped he knew anyway.

Miyu nodded, looking down at Donald.

 

"Next World on Your Gummi Ship?"

 

"Yep." The blond looked around, breathing in deep. This World had been so pleasant but tainted by the Heartless. What if...what if the next World was worst? But she couldn't think about that. No, try had friend's to find.

"Exactly. And on top of that, she didn't mention anything about Kairi." He was worried more about her. it's either Maleficent didn't know if her wherabouts at all, or she was hiding something from them. He thought about that for a moment before coming back to reality.

 

"Riku... Why did you kiss me?"

Sora looked at the map all whichways, noticing that there was another world not far from this one. "Whats that one?" He pointed to a speck on the map that looked... Kinda twisted.

Riku was quiet for a moment, looking to the side and avoiding Haku's question. He couldn't quite answer that without feeling...sappy about it. So instead he leaned forward again and kissed his lips quickly.

 

"Maybe I'll tell you later." He said, giving a rare smile, caressing his cheek. After all, he still was Riku. He couldn't act all mushy gushy all the time. "Why?"

Miyu snuck a look at it and tilted her head, chewing the inside of her lip. It looked a bit...odd.

 

"That's Wonderland." Donald stated, clarifying our destination a the ship took a somewhat steep turn.

Haku felt like slapping his hand away (he wasn't used to that kind of contact), but he let it slide, staring back at him a bit bashfully. "N-No reason I guess... It's just that we were arguing before and all of a sudden you made a move like that, so... I was just wondering," He admitted, refusing to believe that he might like Riku like that.

"It looks kinda..." Sora paused, searching for the right word. "Trippy." He said, making a fluttery hand gesture. Which was true... That whole place looked like one big acid trip. Not like he cared -- the more weird something is, the more interesting it could be. "I wouldn't mind going there."
