FFIV + The After Years = PSP!

It looks like PSP fans will get to enjoy a new compilation of the two Final Fantasy IV games after all! Final Fantasy IV and The After Years will debut on the PSP in the vein of the Final Fantasy I and II Anniversary titles released several years ago. Check out the scans below to view the official announcement and screenshots of the game. The game will be contained on one UMD with an additional scenario that takes place between games.

PlayStation Portable is getting a version of Final Fantasy IV. But there's a bit more to the new version than just a port of the 1991 Super Famicom/SNES classic.

The latest issue of V Jump has a first look at Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection. This PSP title combines Final Fantasy IV with Final Fantasy IV The After Years. The latter is an episodic sequel to FFIV that was released on Wii Ware last year after originally appearing on cell phones.

For the PSP, Square Enix is redoing the visuals and adding a new scenario that connects FFIV and The After Years. There could be some other new elements as well, but we'll have to wait for a followup report.

Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection is due for PSP release in Spring 2011.

I already have FFIV on the DS... but who cares! :D I'm glad I don't have to go out to buy a Wii to play TAY.

This is fantastic Ive already played the PSone port and DS remake but I've always had a softspot for IV plus I've always wanted to play the After Years Im totally stoked. Plus those added scenarios are added incentive.
