Posted December 18, 201014 yr Just now, don't ask don't tell has been repealed. With 69 (lol) Aye and 31 Nay If you don't know what Don't ask Don't Tell means, its basically saying that people who are openly gay cannot serve in the US Military. But not anymore! Good News: Gays can enlist into the military. Bad News: If there is a draft, being gay will no longer be a viable excuse for avoiding it I don't have any sources, but I saw it on the news about 5 minutes ago. CNN to be exact. You should be seeing it everywhere soon.
December 18, 201014 yr Bad News: If there is a draft, being gay will no longer be a viable excuse for avoiding it fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
December 19, 201014 yr i dont know why they put that law in the first place i mean does sexual orientation even matter if you are in a war? all i would care is for this country to have a big ass army to get rid of any threat to our nations freedom and ect.
December 19, 201014 yr Author i dont know why they put that law in the first place i mean does sexual orientation even matter if you are in a war? all i would care is for this country to have a big ass army to get rid of any threat to our nations freedom and ect. It was mostly done so people don't find love interest and get distracted when they are supposed to be fighting. Although I personally believe that they were wrong about that too. The original 300 Spartans (not the movie version) were 150 gay couples. They fought extremely well because they wanted to protect their lover and not be embarrassed by death or injury in front of them.

December 19, 201014 yr I usually don't care about military laws and/or policies, but my father told me that this might get gays and lesbians killed due to friendly fire. And we both believe that the don't ask, don't tell was a good policy.
December 20, 201014 yr DAMN IT, GAYS COULD ALREADY ENLIST! They just could not ACT gay. if you were on a battlefield, the last thing you would need is a homosexual coming onto you. this stupid belief that gays were not allowed in at all pisses me off.

They just could not ACT gay. if you were on a battlefield, the last thing you would need is a homosexual coming onto you. this stupid belief that gays were not allowed in at all pisses me off. I know this, but the problem is if they were openly gay. Regardless don't ask don't tell is an unnecessary policy and history proves that admitting openly gay people into the army is a good idea and may even be war winning.
December 20, 201014 yr The openly gay problem is still a problem. And if it's anything, it'll be war LOSING, not war winning. Don't ask, don't tell was a very necessary policy. Mostly, I agree with what Chaosx said. I just don't know why "this stupid belief that gays were not allowed in at all" makes him mad.
