More info on Square Enix 1st Production Department Premier

Tetsuya Nomura has shared a few details with Dengeki on the upcoming "Square Enix 1st Production Department Premier" event (formerly the "Fabula Nova Crystallis Conference").

The event was originally scheduled for January 11, but was pushed back to January 18. The reason for this was due to timing related to magazine publishing.

While the event was originally announced as being mostly a press event, it has instead shifted to being a "premium event" for fans. The focus will be not on demos but on video footage.

Developers of the various games will appear at the event.

Versus will, as expected, be shown at the event. We'll get to hear main character Noctis speak for the first time. In addition, we'll get to see plenty of actual footage from the game, although this is apparently before the game's visuals have been given a quality bosot.

Kingdom Hearts 3D and Kingdom hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix will also be shown.

No Custom Voices for International 3rd Birthday

The Japanese version of The 3rd Birthday lets players switch main character Aya Brea's voice to match her current costume (in case you didn't already know, both Aya and Lightning (FFXIII) are voiced by Maaya Sakamoto). This is something that won't be in the English version of the game, Tetsuya Nomura reveals in a Dengeki interview this week.

Nomura also told the magazine that the game's shower scene will be difficult to unlock. He believes it would have been just as fine if it hadn't been in the game.

We could get more shooters from Nomura and crew. He told the magazine that if he were to make a shooter in the future, he'd like to make use of the experience learned from The 3rd Birthday.

So... any guesses for Noctis' VA? For some reason, I keep thinking Takehiro Sakurai.

No clue *shrugs* we will wait and see. But I am curious about who his VA is and what it will sound. And I don't think Takehiro will VA Noctis. It could possibly be a new actor.

Beat me to the punch on this one :D

As for Noctis's voice, I wouldn't have the slightest clue. Maybe after we've heard him talk, if Nomura hasn't told us yet, we can get a better idea of who voices him.

I'm dying to hear Noctis' VA. I'm curious as to who it is. Lol.

Plus, I'd like to see some new footage from the game and what not. It's been ages since new footage has been seen. .__.

Since Duodecim is also included at this event, I'm going to mention it here:

The original Dissidia story will be included in Duodecim, unlockable after completing the Duodecim portion of the game, and will be completely remade to fit the new 3D world map. They will also be including more characters from the SNES games and so on.

Also, did you know Laguna was supposed to be in BBS? He was originally intended to be the head of the Mirage Arena, but then they decided that the new FFVIII character in Duodecim should be him, so they had to cut him out. Basically the same reason Balthier was cut out of the original Dissidia, who could only be included in either the FFT remake, or Dissidia.
