Battle themes (possible spoilers)

Posted

For those of you who have seen the Data Riku and Data Roxas battles in Re:coded, do you think the fact that they used the characters' themes during the battles took away from the ambiance of them? Personally I enjoyed what they did, but what do you guys think?

I enjoyed it. It really brought out the meaning of the battle, you know?

With Riku, having bugs implanted into him and becoming a brainwashed puppet, begging Sora to fight him and free him from this "curse", or with Roxas, who guided Sora along the way at the very end because he felt that it was his duty despite their differences...

Nice move imo.
