...are stupid. ._. They get your hopes up that it's a snow day, but then you learn you still have to go to school and take that History exam. :I dfsldjfalfjda

You know what's also stupid?

 

Getting an early release on a day you already get out early --except this time you get out five minutes earlier than usual *fake excitement*! This happened to my school yesterday, when we already get out around 11 for midterms.

 

But yeah, I'm not a fan of delays. They're a pathetic excuse for a snow day. It's like a mistake baby of a snow day: not as cool and fails non-epicly.

You know what's stupid? Having only two allotted snow days before they start taking days off vacation. Last year we had five.

 

So far we have had a snow day every week since the beginning of January. We might even have two this week as I had one yesterday and we might get another on Friday.

believe me, i recently had a VERY BAD DELAY

 

i was on a german exchange, just coming back to england. was in the ariport, planning to be at my hourse at 9pm. now keep up:

- snow came, air space was closed until 11pm

- plane was meant to start boarding at 11:30

- got a message through intercom, more info in half an hour (glad i could speak enough german to translate)

- 12 midnight, got a message more info in an hour.

- 1am more info in half an hour

- 1:30 more info in an hour

- 2:30, easyjet doesn't have any stairs avaliable to get us on to the plane with.

- 3:30 still no stairs, idiots start raging about bad service and they call the pilot down.

- 3:45 he gives us his life story, telling us about how he came to be a pilot while we had been awake for over 22 hours and wanted to get home.

- 4:00 story finished, stairs coming, complementary drinks which nobody wanted. and they serve free drinks anyway.

- 4:30 get on the plane, but it has to de-ice

- 5:00 plane de-iced, we've taken off

- 6:15 arrived at the airport

- 7:00 arrived at home, ready for school in 2 hours (our teacher rang the school so we didn't have to go in that day)

 

10 hour delay, beat that.

I once waited an entire day at the airport the first time I went from NY to Australia. And even that isn't considered a bad delay compared to what I've seen on the news.

 

And we're talking about school delays not airport delays you silly goose.

xDD You know what really sucks, is having to have at least 3.5 feet of snow to have a snow day!!! and then only having 2 days to have them, and if you exeed the limit, they drag the shool year X amount of days you exeeded the limit. So if your school had 3 snow days, your year extends 1 day. So imagine, Having a week of no school because of snow, I was SOOOOOOOO pissed, i didnt go.
