"I like ice cream okay... it gives me a tingly feeling of happy joy."

Travis looked into the sky... it was gray... it was always gray. Or at least it felt like it.

"You know... with all the technology they have today... you'd think they'd at least make a time travelling machine."

Roxanne punched her friend on his shoulder playfully and ate the rest of her icecream.

Roxanne sighed and looked down. "Well, I'd thought about that too. Before I grew rational and was brought into reality." she laughed coldly. Roxanne looked around. "So..yeah. Why would you want something like that?"

"The past was better."

Travis frowned...

"I just wanna see what it's like in person."

Travis appeared to have a dark cloud float over his head as everything seemed depressing all of the sudden.

Roxanne felt the air get dense and uncomfortable as Travis spoke those words. She leaned on his shoulder and looked down. "Sorry you feel that way. At least we have textbooks to show us what happened back then. We have a small window. But, knowing you, that isn't enough, is it..?"
