Well im sure a lot of you have seen and heard of sony's announcement today the PSP2=NGP

For those who haven't: http://psp.ign.com/articles/114/1146358p1.html

Anyway, I think BBS-2 might be coming to the PSP2 and not the original PSP, but that means we wont see it for a long time.

Square-enix have been announced as a 3rd party group working with the PSP2 team (last paragraph http://psp.ign.com/articles/114/1146376p1.html )

And to be honest, i would absolutely LOVE seeing KH3 on the PSP2! with rivaling graphics with PS3, a touch screen and touch pad i think nomura could find some interesting things to do with it! :D

Damn it! Now BBSV2 will most likely come out on PSP2 and i'll have to buy that too! I'm having enough trouble saving up for a 3DS!

hey Xehanort4!!!!!!!!!!!!! dont wory just sell ur old stuff like the psp and the ds chanses are the psp2 will be backworkds compadible and i know the 3ds will be

Fffff, yea...if there is a BbS Vol.2....I wouldn't be surprised if it were to release on this thing.....-sigh- But right now, I'ma focus on getting the 3DS...one step at a time SE....your fans only have so much money. x'''D

They would only dare to put any KH game on that new device!!! =(

By the way, that PSP2 (or whatever it's called) can't play UMD's, right??? :/

You're partially correct. The 3DS IS backwards compatible, but the PSP2 (now codenamed Next Generation Portable) is not. It lacks a UMD drive, as the new preferred method of flash cards will be the system's method of game release, so there's no Birth by Sleep playability. That means you'll have to keep your PSP if you want to replay BBS.

I hope Square Enix is using the NGP for a Final Fantasy game or something, but not Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Volume Two. I have no intention of getting one anytime soon, since I need to get a 3DS and PSP, so Square Enix better save the NGP for the future of the series after the Xehanort Saga.

Yep, and being half-right is better than not being right at all!

If sony will be smart they'll give us backwards compatibility somehow whether its putting more PSP games on PStore or by releasing classics/platinum games on flash media

If that's true then i can only sell my DS and i'll get maybe 30-40 bucks for it. But like Kishara-sama said, first the 3DS then the PSP2. One step at a time.

Honestly I find the idea of a PSP2 to be completely pointless. Why can they not just stick with what they have? It's fine as it is. If they put BbS v.2 on PSP2, it may just be the only game I won't buy.

I think it's very unlikely Square would make a PS3 graphic quality game on anything but the PS3. And I doubt they'll upgrade he graphics until KH3.

:@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ why?! why?! do the change console at every f***** game!!! in the end i will be broke xD

CAN A PSP2 PLAY PSP GAMES? LIKE BIRTH BY SLEEP?8)

They won't. There's no UMD drive. The only type of backwards compatibility the PSP2 will have is with downloadable PSP games on the PlayStation Network, of which Birth by Sleep is not.

It is clearly stated that the NGP will NOT have backwards compatbility. It will use use flash cards only, not UMD's.

F*** NO MAN IT'S BAD ENOUGH I HAVE TO BUY A 3DS NOW THIS!!!! SE YOU BETEER NOT DO IT D

Good lord. Square is going to drive me bankrupt...

Again guys, a KH is very unlikely.

That said, if anybody likes Final Fantasy, you're probably screwed :P

For those of you complaining that its gonna be pricey, sony's releasing 2 versions, one with 3G and the other without, so if your that low on cash you could settle for the no 3G ;)

why couldn't sony stick to the PS2? PS1? why couldn't Microsoft stick to the Xbox? why couldn't Nintendo stick to the NDS? hell to N64, NES and all those shitty systems?! Its called advancement, if you wanna stay alive in the gaming industry you need to advance every few years so that your customers wont get bored and go to the competitor.

The main point of advancement is to get a person to buy your product again.
