March 8, 201114 yr I have seen it. I loved it. The story was slightly altered from the true story (as it happened in Japan in reality), but it was still heartwarming. One of the few movies I have cried in (which, have all been dog movies). I really loved the dog too, I would love to have an Akita. Also, there is actually a statue of Hachiko in Japan. It is in the same train station that he visited every day.
