Hey guys, AnsemTheWise here. I've been working on this for a few months now. (Over a year really, if you count totally changing everything a few times) I'm really pleased with the end result and hope you will be too. For now, please enjoy: Heart's Eclipse. Our story begins five years before Kingdom Hearts...
Prologue
The sound of hurried footstep resounded through the castles halls as Davros ran through the East Wing, shoving anyone in front of him out of the way. Scholars looked at his panicked face in shock; the calm man they admired was in a state of wild anxiety.
“Excuse me! Move!” Davros jumped to the side of a pair of apprentices chatting in the hall, never losing his momentum. He had to hurry. It was time. He rounded the corner, coming to the long hall before the throne room. Almost there…
Davros threw the large double doors open, keeping his pace as he hurried to the throne across the audience chamber. He threw himself down on one knee before the young figure sitting before him. Davros’ glasses slid down his nose, sweat dripping around his feet. The girl in the throne looked down with patience, but the man standing behind her kept a sharp glare in his eyes. Davros panted, trying to catch his breath.
“I… it’s…” Davros let out a sigh, and then took a deep breath. “It’s time.” A look of shock flashed across the girl’s face, but the man only gave a faint smile. He leaned over the throne, whispering into the girl’s ear. The shock on her face turned to a grave stare as she lowered her gaze. With a nod of her head she stood, the man walking around the throne to her side. The two of them walked past Davros, the girl’s heavy robes dragging across the floor behind her. Davros pulled himself to his feet, following behind the pair. The man opened the doors to the laboratory, researchers turning from consoles to watch their lord pass through to one of the sealed doors. Davros stopped at one of the consoles, putting a hand on the woman’s shoulder. She looked up, Davros giving her a faint nod. With the press of a few buttons the door let out a loud hiss, the sounds of unseen mechanisms grinding within the door. It slowly opened, the three of them entering the dark room. The doors closed, dozens of bright lights flooding the room with blinding sunlight. The girl closed her eyes when the lights came on. She slowly opened them, her eyes jolting open in awe as the object for her came into view. A large golden door stood before her, images of twisted humans carved into the doors. The statues carved into the molding seemed to be screaming, the figures writhing in agony. She was petrified, staring at the door until the man leaned down beside her head.
“You need the key.” The girl snapped out of her daze, a bright light flashing beside her. In her hand, she held a silver sword, the man’s mouth carving a wicked smile into his face. Davros stared in awe as the girl lifted the sword, pointing it at the gate. The blade shone brightly, a beam of light shooting out of the tip into the door. The doors let out a deafening click as they unlocked. They began to tremble as they creaked open, a blinding light spilling out form them. Davros covered his eyes, the girl looking down and shutting hers. The man behind her couldn’t seem to contain his joy. “Very good, Alma.”
It's only the prologue, but every story's gotta start somewhere! I'll have Chapter 1 up soon! I would also like to state now that this story does contain scenes of violence. Not all gorey or anything, but some people may be a little unsettled. Just letting you know. (I follow the rules! )
