"Yes we do, maybe we will get a real mission and who knows we could be the team of the month at some time." Allen said but then he felt kind of wierd like he wasn't being himself "If you ever want to hang out some time come find or call me you can use the school computer to find it" Allen said as he waved good bye and walked off with his hands in his pockets. Feeling like that wasn't something he would just making new friends but something was different about this girl

"Bye, Allen." Ariel said and walked to her room. She looked at her clock, it was getting late. She used her telekinesis to turn off the light switch and layed down on her bed and went to sleep.

She woke up and it was really early in the morning. "Why am I not capable of sleeping in? It'd be nice to sleep until noon." she sighed, got up, and walked around the school. "Mornin' Prof." she said. "Good morning, Ariel. Did you sleep well?" the professor asked. "Nope. Like every night. Stupid nightmares." she replied. "If it's a nightmare that's bothering you, I could-" the professor started to say. "No way. I'd rather you not look around in my head...ever." Ariel said. "Alright." he answered. Ariel walked away. "Later." she said to the professor. She walked outside and lifted herself up to the roof with a telekinetic platform. She sat down on the roof and sighed. "Why can't I be normal...?"

Allen couldn't sleep that night he had a dream that the girl he met had called in the anti mutant squad and had him backed up against a wall with there guns pointed at him and gunning him down. Allen couldn't/wouldn't go back to bed he was just to nervous so he decided to take a jog around campus and later he would run through and make an obstacle course in the woods. Allen had got to the woods and saw that it was finally morning by the time he finished his obstacle course full of jumps, climbs, swings, and various obstacles like fake enemies to pass on through.

Ariel sighed. "I am soooo bored..." she said. Suddenly the ground shook. Something was walking towards the school. It looke like a giant man. It came closer and it was easier to tell what it was. A sentinal. "Ah crap." Ariel said to herself. She came down from the roof and ran inside. What am I doing? I can handle that thing. How hard could one sentinal be? she thought to herself. She went back outside. "Mutant detected." the sentinal said. Ariel Ran out in front of the sentinal and created a giant sword of telekinetic energy. She stabbed it through the middle of the robot several times. Then she ran the sword through it's head and it fell. "That should do it." Ariel said cofidently.

OOC: Don't worry about it. It's getting late anyway. I probably need to get off soon too. (and I can only RP on the weekends like past 11 pm...)

Malcolm sat in front of the TV, watching the news. He isn't really paying attention to it seen he is too busy having fun with sitting on the ceiling. Jean Grey walks into the rec room where Malcolm is.

"What do you think, Miss Grey?" Malcolm asks excitedly.

Jean smiles.

"Looks good." She complements. "No coach on the ceiling."

Malcolm chuckles. He had done that not too long ago by accident. Malcolm then nullifies his gravity and floats into the center of the room. Using the furniture, Malcolm points his feet to the ground then returns his gravity to normal. He lands a little awkwardly, but still on his feet.

"Impressive." Jean says. "You're getting a lot better."

"Thanks, Miss Grey." Malcolm beams.

Jean leaves the room, living Malcolm alone with his thoughts.

"This was so cool." Malcolm thinks.

He is about to return to the ceiling when he hears a crashing. He darts to the window and looks out. He sees a wracked sentinel. He twists his head to see Ariel.

"Any problems?" He asks, not really sure what to say.

matt walked down hall way, bag of popcorn in hand. he waited till no one was looking then he use his powers to heat up the bag. the sound of popcorn popping was satisfyingly but the really the only real help his ability could help him with. he looked down the hallway it was empty. he reached into his bag and stuffed his face with some of the freshly popped corn, he wondered were the others were.

Ariel turned to see Malcolm asking, 'Any problems?'. "Nope. And you'd think fighting a sentinal would be hard, but it actually didn't put up a fight." she said as she walked closer to it. She examined the sentinal and said, "Hopefully this hunk of junk doesn't repair itself or something. That wouldn't be good... So anyway, what's up? Usually nobody talks to me voluntarily." Ariel said.

Malcolm looks down at the sentinel. He constraints on the head a moment, using his mutant abilities. A moment later, the head of the sentinel is as flat as a pancake.

Dalon jumps from the window and moves toward Ariel.

"Really?" He asks, thinking about what Ariel just said.

"I would have though you'd have lots of friends."

matt walked in to the room were malcolm was looking out the window. he smile and said "I brought the popcorn" he look out the window "a sentinel? how did it find us?" he said now worried

Malcolm looks over at Matt.

"Don't know." Malcolm says, looking down on the sentinel.

"The X-Men have had a few dealings with sentinels."

He looks around the grounds of the School.

"And we are a hot bed of mutant bio-signs or whatever."

Malcolm looks down at the sentinel.

"We'd better tell the Professor, if he doesn't already know."

"good idea tell that girl to get up here he will ant to talk to her" matt sits on couch and vegges out "I'll wait here"

Malcolm blinks.

"Great." he thinks. "I don't know this girl that well. What do I say...Oh crap, is she a mind reader?"

Malcolm glances at Ariel the quickly looks away.

"Crap, crap, crap." He continues to think.

He takes a steadying breath. He looks at Ariel.

"Well we should we..." He starts, but doesn't finish.

Malcolm looks back to Matt.

"Matt, keep an eye on the sentinal."

matt salutes malcolm "can do!" goes back to watching the tv

Malcolm roils his eyes.

"Thanks, Matt." He says with a little sarcasm in his voice.

He looks back at Ariel.

"I guess we go tell the Professor now?"

  • Author

"Sure, i guess." Ariel said as she went with Malcolm to go find the professor. She saw him down the hallway. "Yo, Prof!" she shouted. "Yes, Ariel?" the professor asked. "Should we be worried if a sentinal comes by here? 'Cause..." Ariel said as she directed the professor to a window that showed the destroyed sentinal. He looked at the sentinal and said, "Oh, it's nothing to worry about.", but he looked worried. "Okay then... If you say so..." Ariel said.

Malcolm stands quietly behind Ariel and the Professor. He hears the Professor's statement, but also notices the worry. He glances outside to see the costumed form of Wolverine and Beast walking toward the sentinel.

"They're in costume." Malcolm thinks. "Not good."A

An idea struck Malcolm. Some of the students could help if the sentinels attack. Ariel took one out, easy.

"Um...Thanks, Professor." He says.

Malcolm touches Ariel on the shoulder to get her attention.

He jerks his head out the door and mouths the words "I've got an idea."

Once outside the Professor's office, Malcolm stops.

"Alright." He whispers to Ariel. "You saw Prof X's concern on his face just now, right?"

  • Author

"Yeah, it wasn't to hard to see." Ariel said as she looked towards Wolverine and Beast. "I don't think Magneto is our biggest problem right now..." Ariel said. She thought for a second. "Do you think that Magneto would have anything to do with this?" she asked as she walked to Wolverine and Beast.

Malcolm follows Ariel. He thinks about what she just said.

"Maybe." He says at length. "He's got a beef with the X-Men."

Malcolm thinks another second.

"And this way, it just looks like the anti-mutant movement was attacking. Magneto loses nothing."

Malcolm sighs.

"Either way, bad news."

He looks at Ariel.

"Good work on that sentinel, by the way."

  • Author

"Thanks, but it was nothing. It didn't even put up a fight. It just walked up and I used my powers on it." Ariel said.

"So what do those mutant haters have to gain from getting rid of us?" she asked. "What did we ever do to them?"

Malcolm shrugs.

"A lot of us have powers that are dangerous." He says. "Some are just trying to protect themselves. Then you got those that hate the thought of us."

Malcolm shakes his head.

"I don't understand them. Yeah, you got guys like Magneto how want to kill all the normal people. But.."

He pauses a moment.

"There are good men like the Professor."

Malcolm sighs.

"I wish more of the humans could see that we are just like them."

  • Author

"We are like them, but we aren't. And... in a way, I agree with Magneto. We are more powerful than humans." Ariel said.

"But it's what we do with our powers that makes us different than him. I'm not disagreeing with Professor X or anything, so don't think I plan on attacking the anti-mutant people without a good reason." she said. But I do already have a good reason..., she thought.

Malcolm shrugs.

"I once over heard Mr. Logan talking with some guy named Cable." Malcolm says. "They talked about how they followed Xavier's dream not necessarily because they believed it would work, but because they had to believe and fight for something."

Malcolm pauses a moment.

"I guess that's the way I think it is. We can be as good as we can, and people are still gonna hate us. But we have to keep trying to make things better."

Malcolm scratches his head and looks a little embarrassed.

"Does that make any sense?" He asks.

  • Author

"Yeah... I guess. But how do we know were on the right side? What if Magneto is right? But the prof could also be right..." Ariel said.

She created spikes out of telekinetic energy and made them fly quickly into a tree as if she was angry.

"I hate bieng a mutant! Why can't we just be normal!?" she shouted, then used a disk of telekinetic energy to fly back up to the roof.

Malcolm swallows uneasily. He understood her problem, but didn't know how to help her. He didn't know what she went through. He had had it good compared to most of the students here.

Malcolm levitates up to the roof. He didn't know what he was going to say. Just that he wanted to help Ariel.

  • Author

Ariel sat down on the roof and the saw Malcolm come up.

She sighed and sadly said, "You know it's bad to be a mutant when your own parents don't want you anymore... But how could I blame 'em? Who would want a freak for a daughter?"

She walked to the far edge of the roof, looked down, and sighed.
