PSN: ''Credit Card Information On File Not Valid''

Posted

I've come here because I've looked all over for a solution to this problem and I haven't found one, and i know a lot of people are have PSN.

yesterday, i was trying to buy Sega Rally Arcade edition of PSN, but every time I tried to add funds to my wallet it came up with the message ''Credit Card Information On File Is Not Valid", and didn't fund my wallet.

i checked the billing information and it was completely correct. it's been unchanged for months and I've never had a problem until now.

so has anyone had this problem before? if so, how do you fix it?

The only reason it would say that is if your billing info is incorrect or if your credit card is expired(or doesnt work for some other reason).

Did you try redoing it

If it doesn't work, just buy a prepaid card from a store.

Yes i've tried re-doing it.

I'm certain the information is correct

My card hasn't expired.

I'd rather not have to by a PSN card every time i want to buy something.

I agree, buying cards is a hassle. The only thing you can do is call Playstation and see if they can fix the problem

Or your bank.

I had a problem like that paying for school last semester, so I called the bank and they had put my card on hold for some stupid reason. Fixed it in two minutes.

i just tried buying something off steam, and had the same problem, looks like my bank may have done that.

i'll go visit it some time this week and get it sorted
