Why does he look like sora?

Featured Replies

Because Sora joined his heart with Ventus when Vanitas was made and left Ventus heart broken so to say and that had an impact on how vanitas looked like (also i believe you are in the wrong thread here this should be under Birth by Sleep)

Because I made him so.......joking.

Vanitas looks like Sora because the new born Sora healed Ven's damaged heart after Master Xehanort extracted Ven's darkness(Vanitas) from him. Nomura has said that if Riku was the one that healed Ven's heart, Vanitas would have looked like him. Also, if you're wondering, kind of a similar situation to why Roxas looks like Ven. Ven's heart leaves Sora's body(when Sora stabs himself) and goes inside Sora's nobody(who should look like Sora), Roxas.

That's the explanation the BBS Ultimania gave us.

When Vanitas was born he only had a purple/black face with two red eyes. After Ventus joined his heart with Sora, it affected Vanitas to and gave him the face of Sora.

xD aaaah i c, good to know

Ven's heart never leave Sora's body. It stays there while it becomes Roxas. The Nobody is made from the body and soul.

As for the question, it's already been explained.

Sorry for putting it into different wording while still correct.

Actually I've been wondering about that. You know that part of the Secret Episode Ending when Ven is in the Chamber of Awakening then suddenly disappears? Well what if that's because when Kairi got her heart back he did too and so he woke up? I know this raises more questions then it answers and goes against everything we know but Nomura does like screwing with our heads, doesn't he. Anyway just a thought.
