Terra gave Riku the ability to use the keyblade, and Sora's ability to use the keyblade came from Riku, and since Riku was taken over by Ansem Seeker of Darkness, Terra's armor thought Sora was Xehanort and attacked him. When he realized he was wrong, he stopped the fight.

Or maybe because Sora fought Ansem it could of made it like he was Xehanort. And Riku was to get the Kingdom Key but darkness messed him up so that messed that up.
