One.

The fanfare played. All around, the people cheered. Pink petals float down unto the ground. The horses appeared, carrying a carriage behind him. Soldiers lined the sides of the carriage. The left and the right. Brandishing their spears towards the heavens. The prince has arrived.

Two.

The carriage rolled forward towards the steps of The Castle of Icarus. Roses lined the sides of the roads. Their sweet fragrance fill the air. The guards marched along the sides of the carriage. Their eyes staring straight ahead. Completely professional. Completely loyal. And all of it a complete lie. The carriage reached the foot of the stairway.

Three.

The crowd cheered and screamed. This was the moment they were waiting for. The new king that would rule over Sentinent. The soldiers turned around and faced the carriage. The people started counting the seconds. Five. Four. Three. Two. One.

Four.

The soldiers pressed there spears into the sides of the carriage. The crowd hushed as a muffled scream filled the air. The soldiers pulled the spears out. The door of the carriage flew open. A boy stumbled out. He had a hand pressed to his shoulder. He stumbled out of the carriage and fell to the ground.

Five.

It was pandemonium. A scream pierced the air and many more followed after. The magical moment was gone. It was replaced by fear. A man stepped out of The Castle of Icarus.

"So it begins" he said. "The way it should be."
