Mickey's Mark of Mastery mystery

Posted

Terra and Aqua's MoM exam was to fight each other to test each other's heart. Sora and Riku's MoM exam is to travel to the realm of sleep and bring back the key of sleep. We all know that during the course of BBS, Mickey was on his MoM exam and became a master at the end of BBS, but it is never stated what he was supposed to do during his exam. I don't really have a theory, but I want to know what you think.

tutti frutti. Much like Azure has mention, unless confirmed otherwise by Nomura, we won't really know if Mickey went through the MoM during the events of BBS. At the very least, Mickey was trained by Yen Sid, and the scene where mickey is surfing on the whirlpool could have been part of his training. The scene where Mickey is handed his Keyblade back from Yen Sid could have literally been a reference from anything. (Example: not being able to help Terra, Aqua, Ven completely, though this is debateable) If Mickey truly was being put through the MoM, then Yen Sid would have at least mentioned it at some point during the events of the game. If Yen Sid had been having the feeling of something about to happen, as he stated in the game, he could have waiting until things subsided for a while to give Mickey the exam. I can more so see Mickey going through the exam between the events of BBS and KH1.

You really are on Azure, eh? I guess everything I said was a lie since I know nothing.

tutti frutti. It's just that there's really nothing that can completely disagree with what Azure stated. But don't get me completely wrong, I agree with you in stating that Mickey taking the MoM IS important, since he is a Keyblade master from KH1 forward. Overall, unless officialy stated in someway, Mickey could have merely been under Yen Sid's apprenticeship, or at the very least training in some way. If by some chance it was officially stated that Mickey was going through the MoM, then you would be pretty much proving the rest of us otherwise. (or possible have some crazy-future esp of the future.)

I guess everything I say can be disagreed about. Doesn't sound like you read my posts because you're saying the opposite of everything I stated. Everything I said was from Nomura himself(as I stated). Just saying.

I couldn't find the exact words that I used from Nomura's interview and I don't use use wiki, but it's there in the last paragraph of "story".

tutti frutti. Thanks for the post. I saw it on the wikipedia, but for me, I never believe anything from anyform of wiki's. (No offense meant by that statement in any way). But thanks for the interview in regards to Mickey taking, and passing, the MoM. Sorry if I sounded like I disagreed with you too much, but I didn't read the interview until now. Though I did read your earlier posts, I wasn't 100% sure that Mickey had completed and passed the exam during the events of BBS. (Which may have been something others may have been iffy about)

No offense taking since I don't use wiki for that purpose. Just wanted to state say that Azure's words aren't absolute(as I have corrected him many times).

tutti frutti. Nothing against you Azure (and no offense by me saying this), but point taken Rob. Unless stated in game, namely Nomura, if not some other part of SE and Disney, has the final say of the KH series.
