This is an anime series called Serial Experiments Lain. It's one of the best anime's I've ever seen. It's brilliant.

 

The plot is about a girl who commits suicide, then later sends an email to several of her classmates saying she's only left her body and is still alive in The Wired (their internet). Lain (main character) never got into computers much until she got this email. She asks her Dad for a new Navi (their computers) and starts to get sucked up in it. After a while, her life and those around her starts to get crazy, creepy and unstable. More suicides and killings start happening and Lain is connected somehow (not gonna spoil that for you lol). This anime seriously involves art, technology, biology, psychology, theology, conscious, subconscious and much more. It's dark, creepy and really deep. It's like they can't determine real life to to The Wired and what exactly it means to exist and the nature of what we accept as reality. It's intense. So if this is for you, I promise you'll love it.

Just watched the first episode. A bit creepy aha

yessss it's a very creepy, dark and confusing if u dont pay attention anime. but i love it. it really caught my attention. it didnt win an Excellence Prize in the Japan Media Arts Festival and several other awards for nuttin. its genius.

u will. its amazing. i finished the series earlier today and was so blown away. the things it makes u think and how many possibilities, outcomes and opinions u can come up with is infinite. thats why i love it so much. its like, there is no right or wrong. it really forces u to think. i love stuff like that haha
