According to the real Madara, he's working with someone, possibly Tobi. And Kabuto called Tobi a 'fake Madara'. So Tobi could possibly be a clone of Madara after all, though wouldn't Tobi have retained Madara's powers as well? He's always used the Sharingan, and has never once been seen using the Mangekyo.

But if it's someone else, and he is working with Madara, that would explain why he had wanted to use Nagato's Rinnegan(Madara or Tobi, whichever one, definately gave Nagato the Rinnegan. He could never turn it off, like Kakashi with his Sharingan, or one of the men a Kage brought with them to the summit who had a covered Byakugan, and then there's Danzo...)

 

The real Madara can use Wood Release as well!(It's funny, when one of the Shinobi see this, he gets wide-eyed and says "We're doomed.")

And on a brighter note, the Kyubi finally gives Naruto his power, if only to destroy Madara.

...Then don't see the thread... That's the easiest thing. People who don't know why would Madara work with Tobi, if Tobi is Madara already have their answer. DON'T READ. They only read because they want to. Besides if people aren't following the manga then they wouldn't know much about this(since Shippuden is still in one those filler arcs, I think)

That's what I'm thinking too, though I'm not sure why Tobi wouldn't want Madara revived if he was Zetsu, and indeed working with him.

I seriously think the Madara with the long hair is a form revived from the past. After all Tobi is wrinkled, and that's how it should be. If Tobi was a clone, why would HE take the Rinnegan, and not Madara?

Kakashi only has the Sharingan in his LEFT eye.

While Tobi (before he acquired the Rinnegan), has it in his RIGHT eye and only shows that eye.

Kakashi can use the Kamui and so can Tobi, which Itachi can't. (Kamui is an alternate version of Tsukyomi. Tsukyomi makes the target think theyre in a different dimension, while Kamui actually transports the target and whoever else to a different dimension.)

Tobi has the Sharingan in both of his eyes, he loses one of them when Konan traps him in a sea of exploding tags that will continually explode for 10 minutes, causing Tobi to use Izanagi to survive and lose his second eye
