This always happens. People are willing to pay up to 2000 dollars for getting a COD game a month ahead of everyone else. When black- ops came out someone else did the same thing. Activision promised the guy 500,000 dollars and no charges if he decided not to put the games online to pirate. He did and he got arrested. The games were taken offline a day later. What a dumbass.

Yeah, it's really insane. But that's people for you. they would do anything to get what they want. Even if it means stealing a game that they are most excited for.

CoD is a joke. Why it's so popular is beyond me.

 

1) It's a total rip off of Metal of Honor.

 

2) Each game is EXACTLY THE SAME! There is NOTHING new! These people are paying $65-100 for a game they already have. Same combat, same weapons, same area, same goal, same storyline… Nothing is different. If you played one CoD game, you already played them all.

 

3) If you pre-ordered it, all you got is a "pick your perks sweepstakes"… like gee, thanks? With all other games, like take Skyrim, if you pre-ordered that you get a free physical bonus map.

 

4) You get the cheap online experience. It lags and kicks you off constantly.

 

5) Then there's the annoying hacker kids who think they're the sh!t because they can hack and just kill everyone who is legitimately trying to play the game.

COD is by no means a bad game series, whatsoever. The problem is, it's the exact Goddamn same game being sold every single year.

I don't hate COD, but I do think there are many games out there that deserve this popularity more than the COD games. Unfortunately, that's not the case.
