This is a twist on Heavy Rain, btw.

Prolague-

August 30th 2012

Oahu, Hawaii

A young woman is reading a newspaper.

Man from Oragami Killing Case Proven Inocent After Death

"The young man suspected of kidnapping multiple victims, who died on August 23rd 2012, was proven inocent today. The young man, Ryan, age 14, died from multiple gunshots to the forehead. He was shot by the police for being suspected of kidnapping a young boy named Kenny Kaneshiero, age 11. The police shot Ryan immediately when he was seen coming out of the warehouse with Kenny and Shana. Kenny and Shana escaped alive, while Ryan..."

The woman crumbled up the piece of paper and threw it away in the trash can, while she was sobbing.

Chapter 1-

Oahu, Hawaii

6:30 AM

August 31st, 2012

Shana's POV

After reading that disasterous article of Ryan being proved inocent, I could not go to sleep. I cried my eyes out. I sulked. I cursed out the police and the others who killed Ryan. They betrayed Ryan! They should've known that he wasn't the killer. I woke up the next morning early and went downstairs. I wasn't hungry, and I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone. I put on my watch. It was 6:30 in the morning. I sighed.

Looks like school is about to start soon...

I walked outside and got the newspaper. Once I got back inside, I read another headline.

Oragami Killer Strikes Again

I didn't need to read it. I just threw down the paper on the table. I knew that everyone else would like to read it, who was following it, but I didn't. I didn't need to know about another depressing case. But I wonder why the police haven't asked me questions. After all, I was a witness to the murder.

Jon's POV

Oahu, Hawaii

7:31 AM

Ugh, I'm nervous as hell. I have to report to my new boss for the Oragami Killing case. And of course, my new 'boss' has to be my enemy in court, Arron. I heard that his sister is also there. What's her name again? Oh, right, it was Candice. I took a deep breath and walked inside. I scanned around, but it didn't look like Arron was there. But then again, he told me to be here at 7:30. I walked up to a police officer. I stopped him before he could move again.

"I'm Jon Whit. I'm a defense attorney for the district of San Diego. Have you seen Lieutenant Arron?" I asked

"Yeah, he's right across the hallway" said the officer.

"Thanks"

I walked over across the hall way and knocked on the door.

"Damn it! Just come in! I hate people knocking on my doors!" exclaimed a person within the door I was knocking on.

This is going to go smoothly, I just know it.

I entered the room.

"Oh, it's you. You're 5 minutes late. Whatever, sit down. We have to talk with you about something" said Arron.

I didn't like the attitude that he was giving me, but I sat down anyways.

"As you might know, we shot the wrong person who we thought was the Oragami Killer." said Arron.

I looked around. There were 3 other people: Candice, Derrick, and Rajon.

"Right, a man named Ryan, was shot when he was coming out with Shana Kaneshiero and Kenny Kaneshiero"

"You're damn right. Now we need to locate the Oragami Killer. And we believe we have a lead. We should've thought about this earlier"

"Who is it?" I asked

This time, Rajon answered.

"Shana Kaneshiero. She was the one who was coming out with Kenny, the victim of the kidnapping and Ryan, my cousin."

That's right... Ryan was Rajon's and Derrick's cousins.

"So.. what do you want me to do about this?" I asked.

"We want you to question Shana" said Sean.

"Fine, but only if she admits it, then I will arrest her. Even if she just sounds suspicious, I refuse to arrest her." I said.

Sean glared at me, but I didn't care.

"Derrick, Rajon, go with him. I want to make sure he doesn't let her off the hook easily."

I shrugged. I didn't care if Derrick, Rajon, or even if Arron came with me.

"Alright. Go!" commanded Arron.

Derrick, Rajon, and I went out to question the only other witness of the murder of Ryan.

Chapter 2-

Oahu, Hawaii

8:30 AM

August 31st, 2012

John's POV

After an hour of trying to find the Kaneshiero's house, we finally arrived. I looked at Derrick and Rajon. They nodded as we walked to the front door. There was a note outside of the window.

Tutoring-

30 bucks per session for 1 hour. Don't be late.

Shana Kaneshiero

"Hang on, I'll handle this" I said

Derrick and Rajon stayed behind as I knocked on the door. After knocking on it 3 times it opened.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw the person at the door. She was my age. She had brown hair and black eyes. She had a pretty face, but I can't remember where I've seen her before.

"Well?" the girl asked impatiently.

I cleared my throat.

"Yes, I'm here with a couple of my friends. We go to Iolani. We have a couple of questions." I responded.

The girl rolled her eyes.

"What homework? We don't even have school yet!"

Crap. She got me.

"Uhh, well I've gotten my schedule. And we have Geometry. I was wondering if you could help us." I responded quickly.

She sighed.

"Oh well, we don't have all day. My name's Shana. Come on in"

Derrick threw me a What the hell are you doing? look.

I held my finger up and went inside along with Shana. Derrick and Rajon followed right behind me.

Shana sat down as she played with her hair.

"So... what's-"

I cut myself off. It was weird. For some reason, I felt compelled to talk to her. As if I was casually carrying on a conversation. Almost as if I've done this with her multiple times before.

Shana gave me a cold look.

"You're wasting your thirty minutes" she said coldly.

Rajon cleared her throat.

"Ms. Kaneshiero, we are not students. We were summoned here by the police force." he said.

Way to go Rajon.

"Shit, I knew it! I knew the cops were going to come here eventually!" she exclaimed.

Shana tried to run out, but I held her back.

"We just have some questions,Shana. We'll pay you double." I said calmly.

She looked alarmed at first, but then she calmed down.

"Alright, what're your questions?" she asked.

Shana's POV

"My name is Jon. Jon Edwards. I am here to investigate the Oragami Killer Case" Jon said.

It was weird. Why did it seem like he seemed like Ryan so much? Only differerence was that he had a Brittish accent, black hair that spiked up in the middle, and didn't have glasses.

"What do you know about the Oragami Killer?" Jon asked.

I felt uncomfortable answering his question. I hesitated a little bit.

"I don't really know much about him." I stiffened. "All I know is that he almost killed my young step brother and he was the cause of my boyfriend dying" I said.

Jon sighed.

"Next question. You are the only other witness to the murder of your boyfriend, Ryan. Kenny has already spoken. What did you see?"

I glared at Jon.

"Your police shot at him. You should know what happened. As we walked out of the warehouse, we were about to surrender. Your police shot at and killed Ryan" I said coldly. "I refuse to say anything else"

Jon rolled his eyes.

"First of all, I'm not a part of the police office. I am a defense attorney of the district of San Diego, California"

I gave him a I don't give a shit look.

"God damn it, look! There will be more inocent victims like your boyfriend, if you don't tell us! There will be more deaths of young boys if you do not tell us! So are you going to freaking tell us or not?" he asked angrily.

I was shocked when he said that. I didn't say anything.

"Derrick, do you have some water?" he asked.

"Yeah, here." Derrick tossed Jon a water bottle.

Jon took something out of his backpack. He took out some pill.

"What is that?" I asked.

"A medication that's a stress reliever. It also helps me with muscle spasms" he replied.

He put the pill in his mouth and used water to help swallow the pill down. But I didn't care about his actions. I cared about the medication.

"Isn't that called vallium?" I asked.

Jon rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, vallium" he replied.

"You do realize that's addicting right?" I asked.

"Yes, but I do have a perscription."

It was weird. Here I was standing right next to a person who was taking vallium, a medication that my boyfriend was looking into.

"Alright, that wraps up the things we need to ask about." said Jon.

Jon, Derrick, and Rajon left the house, at least I thought they did.

Chapter 3

Jon's POV

11:30

Oahu, Hawaii

I told Derrick and Rajon that I would not be riding with them back to the office. I wasn't quitting, mind you. I just needed to talk to Shana.

I knocked on her door. No one answered at first. Then, the door opened.

"You again" said Shana coldly.

"Uhh, can we talk?" I asked.

"Fine." she said.

When I walked in, on a table was a tiny computer, no bigger than 14 inches wide. It looked familiar.

"Are you sent here by the police force?" Shana asked.

"No. Nice computer" I said gesturing to the tiny computer.

Shana made a face and played with her hair. She didn't answer for a moment.

"It's an ASUS computer, and besides, it's not mine. It's my boyfriend's." she said.

"Oh"

"Yeah, he didn't tell me the password, so I can't get on it. I have the charger still though" she said.

"Uhh, can I see a picture of your boyfriend?" I asked.

I didn't tell her why, just yet. That computer has been bugging me for a while. And also, that girl looks so familiar, if I didn't have amnesia right now, then I would know why both of those things look familiar.

She shrugged. "I don't see why not." she said. "Let me get it."

Shana turned around and walked upstairs. In the meantime, I walked up to the computer and turned it on. It asked for a password. I'm not sure what I typed. It almost seemed involuntary; what I typed. I don't remember how I typed this quickly, or how I knew the password. The computer turned on, astonishly. As soon as the computer turned on, Shana walked down.

"Here I got the picture." she said.

She looked at what I was doing, but she didn't say anything. She almost seemed shocked.

"How did you...?" she asked

"I'm not sure. I'm sorry, I have amnesia problems. It was almost like I knew the password involuntairly..." I said.

Shana shrugged. She tossed me the photo. It was a picture of three guys. One guy was short and had blond hair. Another guy was short and had a crew cut. The guy in the middle had black hair, which was sloppy, almost as if he didn't care about appearance. He also had glasses.

"Hang on... I know these people from somewhere" I muttered.

"What?" she asked

"Hold on." I said

I took out my amnesia pills. I was only perscribed to 2 a day, but I took 2 right then and there. Oh well, I guess I wouldn't be taking it later. I swallowed the pills down immediately, with some water.

"That's right..." I said

"What's right?" she asked.

"Their names. The blond haired kid is Jordan, the guy with the messy black hair is Ryan and the guy with the crew cut is Larry..." I muttered.

She looked stunned.

"How did you know that?" she asked.

"I'm not sure. I took these amnesia pills just a few weeks ago. This is my major breakthrough in terms of memory." I said.

Chapter 4-

Shana's POV

12:00 PM

Oahu, Hawaii

As I consumed all of this information that I was getting, I could not believe it. This person somehow knew my boyfriend! I wanted to ask so many questions about Ryan, but it was also his memory problem that worried me. I sighed.

"All right, take a shower in here, Jon. After you get out, we can talk some more" I said.

Jon hesitated, but nodded and walked upstairs.

Aron's POV

I looked at Derrick and Rajon.

"Well?" I asked

Derrick and Rajon both hesitated, as if they didn't want to answer me. My blood started to boil.

"Where the hell are they?" I asked.

"There was no circumstantial evidence convicting Shana, so we gave her a break" Derrick said.

As soon as I heard that, I was pissed.

"God damnit! You were supposed to arrest her! Show no mercy! And Edwards! Where the hell is Jon Edwards?" I asked.

"He stayed with Shana." Rajon said.

"Alright, that's it. Get in the car right now, we're going over to Shana's house right now to arrest her."

"But..." Derrick said.

I glared at him.

"Okay, we're going" Derrick mumbled.

We got into the car and took off over to Shana's house to arrest the woman.

Shana's POV

As Jon was taking a shower, I started to research this "Jon Edwards". There were no sources coming from him. No Facebook account, no Skype account, no My Space account, no Twitter account, no nothing, which was quite strange.

When Jon came out of the shower, I turned off the computer, before he saw me. I don't think that he wanted the implication that I was a stalker.

As he walked down the stairs, I couldn't help but notice how good he looked. Almost like Ryan, he almost didn't seem to care about how he looked. He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans and his black hair spiked up. As soon as he looked at me, I looked away.

"Uhmm, so do you remember anything else?" I asked.

Jon's POV

Before Shana asked me the question, she was staring at me and I was staring at her. She looked beautiful. She was wearing a green shirt and jeans and her brown hair went around shoulder length. When I realized that I was staring at her, I pulled back, as did she, our gaze staring at the floor.

She looked back at me and asked "Uhmm, do you remember anything else?" she asked

"No... nothing. Just those type of things. I don't necessairly remember who my parents were, or how did I know your boyfriend" I said.

She nodded.

"Alright, just try to remember soon" she said.

I nodded. "Thanks"

Suddenly, I heard a police car outside and someone knocked on the door.

"Hold on, I'll get it" Shana said

Shana walked up to the door and opened it. Outside was Aron, Candice, Derrick, and Rajon. Aron had hand cuffs.

"Uh oh" I muttered.

"Shana Kaneshiero, you are under arrest for being the oragami killer" Aron said.
