Zenonia 3 is a game for the IPod Touch and IPhone. The very essence of the game and it's previous installments rivals the Final Fantasy series, yet has serious flaws. In Zenonia 1&2, there was the great hindrance of the Weight and Food penalties. If you don't eat, your magic ability suffers. If you carry too many items, you slow down a great difference. The game in the App Store used to be worth 5$, but due to complaints, is now free. The game has a great RPG feel to it. The Grinding, the story, the badass near-impossible to defeat enemies. The variety of weapons and character classes to choose from was amazing. From the first level to the end of the game was all great, yet extremely difficult. I almost gave up on the game because I couldn't beat the final boss. The In-App purchases is just Gamevil screwing you over for your money. The Origin of Life items were necessary to defeat the bosses, yet cost you real-life money to buy. In the previous games, they were available at a vendor. But as it seems now, you can't get them normally. They make their games addicting and extremely difficult so gamers would get so mad that they can't beat it, and give in to the IAP's. As the enemies are overpowered and difficult, so is the "Revive with Penalty" feature that comes as a consequence for being defeated by them. It hinders your progress in the game, as well as your experience, which when built up, you level up. It makes the game exponentially harder.
My recommendation:
Don't get the game. You'll just become hooked with it and you'll probably never beat it without in app purchases.
Even though I say it is great, it is because, by some miraculous lucky happening, I managed to beat it without IAP's.
When you fill out the applications for getting free credits in the game to get the IAP items, 75% of the time, it doesn't even credit you.
And the In game credit that you get from IAP's, alternately the free applications, is wasted in a heartbeat. After you get the Origin of Life, and you die and accidently use it without meaning to, or you use it purposely when you die.
