I have an 8gb 4th gen itouch and I upgraded to ios5 not long after it came out. Since then, I have noticed that my safari frequently crashes for no reason. I'll be doing something on the Internet, and it will just crash! Is anyone else having the same problem? Does anyone have any idea how to stop the crashing?

This is from my sister who did cell phone & electronic sales for 6 years: Try plugging your iPod into iTunes and doing a backup of all of your content and do a restore of the iPod, when your done you can put all of your content back on. Sometimes with these devices (cell phones, tablets, MP3 players) you're slapping new software onto existing programs. Kind of like if you were to put Windows 7 on your computer from xP without taking all the old stuff off, it makes stuff buggy. Try that and it should hopefully work. Otherwise it is probably a wider known issue and they will probably release a smaller update to fix it in the future along with some other stuff people report.

When I updated my iPod to ios 5, I was jailbroken. So, it erased everything on the iPod and put it back after the update. I guess I'll just have to wait and hope a future update will stop the crashing. It's not THAT big of a deal I guess.
