Well, for those who have done the StreetPass thing, if I met someone via StreetPass, but for X reason the battery of the 3DS "dies", does the information is saved?

I'm asking because once I counted my steps using the podometer of the 3DS in my backyard and the battery "died". When I recharged the system I noticed that the counter of steps marked 0 when I'd been walking for almost one hour in order to gain coin medals. Weird enough, because the medal coins were counted and added to the total.

Can someone help me?

I think the 3DS 'resets' itself when it's battery dies, causing your steps to be gone. Fortunatly, important information is still saved.

Well, that explains why the medal coins were saved but the steps did not.

Street Pass data is saved to the Mii Plaza, I believe. So unless your 3DS dies the slip second the 3DS' exchange data, you should be fine.

The pedometer, I believe, resets with the 3DS.

lol I thought you said pedometer.

Anyway, i don't know.

Streetpass saves.

As for the steps, just close your ds and shake it in different ways untill the 3ds shows more steps. I do it every morning cuz I'm lazy >_

Sometimes I get 10 play coins in a day and it says I only have like 200 steps. When the battery didn't die.
