In a world unknown to humankind, the Ra'akel or Raven People lived a life of happiness. when children became fledglings , they would leave the great world to the human realm. One day, the realm of the Hawk'uree or Hawk People discovered a Ra'akian Fledgeling land close to their home, and it was seen as a warning, or a threat, and they traced the scent trail of the fledgling back to the Raven Realm, and they destroyed it. All that remain of the Ra'akel are the fledglings.

Ra'keel looked down to Ra'jah "Why would you keep him alive? Look at what he did to the forest, and he was trying to do it to us. He's trying to repeat the destruction of the Realm. What do you need with him?"

Haw'karra looks to the side to look at Ra'jah. He was curious as well.

"Liveing so close to the edge of town isn't smart." I say my breath as I enter my home. I lay down on my bed. I hear a knock on my door. "Come in." I call. "Still in a mood I see." Miss Rere says to me. "You could say that." I reply.

" I... " She knew she had a reason.. now what is it? She thought for a moment.

" If we kill him he won't be any use to us." She stated flatly.

Haw'ray made it a couple more yards before falling back against a tree. He groaned softly closing his eyes. He decided to rest here for a while.

Ra'den saw the Hawk and jumped down raising a blade against him.

Haw'ray opens his eyes and looks at Ra'den.

" Yoiu really don't have anything better to do?" He asks wincing slightly.

Ra'keel flies toward the metallic ring of a blade and takes out her bow, pointing it at Ra'den. "You've hurt him enough, male. My own kind or not, he helped me, and I will do away with you to protect this hawk..." She looks sharply and coldly

Haw'ray looks at Ra'keel.

" This is my problem, dont bother yourself Raven." He said standing up but using the tree for support.

" Go worry about your Raven friend, shes not going to be able tp keep Haw'karra down by herself even if she is ontop of him."

"I'll let you clam down then." I look at her. "Uh yeah." Miss Rere leaves. I sigh. I look out the window. "I'm going to sneak out tonight and go into the forest. I have to." I say.

Ra'den looks at Ra'keel. He lowers his sword. "You have lost your mind raven, hawks arent merciful, so why should we be."

Ra'keel doesn't move "He's a rebel. He's not like the other hawks." she looks to Haw'ray "If he kills you, you couldn't 'tend' to your fellow hawks. If you kill him, then we have one less survivor." She lowers her bow "Think about that amongst yourselves. I have a friend with the head of the hawk army that may need my help"

Haw'karra grins. The sun was beginning to re-appear. He struggles, trying to get out of the raven's grip, but he was pinned, and his wings were crushed. His little plan couldn't work without his wings.

Ra'den was to angry to give the Hawk release, but he remembered something ["All of us are part of this realm, hawks and ravens, we are like close squabbling brothers, yes we fight, but in the end we will care for the other like family."] Ra'den slowly released the hawk. "You just be thankful, i still take my mothers words to heart, eventhough she was killed by your kind." Ra'den walked to a near boulder sitting on it, overlooking the edge of the rocks.

Ra'jah kept Haw'karra pinned to the ground.

" Don't try anything hawk." She was starting to get tired of holding this guy here. She looked around, where did everyone go?

Haw'ray sighed and slid back down the tree to sit. He glanced up at Ra'keel.

" Why are you helping me raven?" He asked then continued to watch Haw'karra and Ra'jah.

Ra'den looked at the sinking sun, the slight breeze blowing his hair. He sighed feeling the everlasting pain of loss. "Mother, how can i, how can i redeem myself, i failed to be everything you wanted." ["One day you will be a great warrior, just like your father."]

I quitely open the window. "Somehow it's less of how and more of a why." I jump out the window. "Now it's time to see why no comes to this forest." I wisper quitely.

Ra'keel looks at Haw'ray, trying to think of a reason, but shakes her head "Because you're not like them." she flies to Ra'keel and Haw'karra "So, what use do you think he'll be? Bait to guide the other hawks to their demise?"

Haw'karra suddenly stopped thinking that everything was funny. He glares angrily at Ra'keel. No army means no rule. No rule means no power, and That was all he ever wanted. Power. The word rings in his head. Taunting him. Killing him inside. Life was not beyond a goal before. If your goal was lost, so was your life. Never before had he thought of what was beyond power, until that moment.

Ra'jah shrugs.

" Possibly, I haven't really gotten that far yet." She admitted. She was new to this fighting thing all she had ever done was run or hide. Ra'jah shrugged off her insecurity and looked at Haw'karra.

" I don't really want to lead more hawks here though."

___________

Haw'ray watched Ra'keel leave.

" Maybe this is why I'm doing this." He tells himself before atanding back up using the tree for support. He decided to let the ravens deal with Haw'karra and holding his stomach made his way deeper into the forest.

Ra'keel blinks "How about we cut off his wings, so he can't go back. We can drag him with us when we head out." she says, picking Wintergreen berries and keeping them in a bag, as is preparing for something. She looks back at where she helped the hawk and shrugs off her worry What if he got hurt more or He helped you, do you not have the heart to help him in return? she asked herself in thought.

Ra'jah shrugs.

" Sounds kind of harsh, but ok atleast its a plan." She looked at Ra'keel backing her knife away from Haw'karra's neck a little.

" I'm not taking that job though." She said quickly shuddering.

Haw'ray attempted to climb a tree to get his barings but the pain of his wound was to great.

"Stupid clueless Raven.." He muttered continueing to walk. He startd to wonder what the ravens would do to Haw'karra and couldn't help but turn back hiding behind a rock and watching them. He had nothing better to do and it would bother him all night if he didn't know what was going on.

I run deeper into the forest. "I wounder where they are?" I ask. I sigh. "Hello anything out there?" I shout. I look around. I go deeper into the forest.

Haw'ray hears someone calling out and runs toward the sound. He finds a girl walking around the forest.

" Shhh." He puts his finger to his lips appearing out of the dark forest.

" A little thing like you shouldn't be out here." He said not bothering to try and hide his wings.

Ra'keel shrugs and splays out one of Haw'karra's wings "Don't worry hawk. They'll grow back. The worst you'll look like is a human for now" she says, rubbing herbs from the field onto the start of the wings to numb them. She waits a moment for it to take effect and carefully cuts them off, only looking from the corner of her eye "You shouldn't look for now, Ra'jah. It's pretty darn gross" once she finishes, she puts the wings aside and uses Sycamore leaves to apply pressure to where it bled. when it stopped, she covered the spots with Haw'karra's shirt "There...oh, and-er" she unsheathes his blade "We won't have that after us.. Go ahead and get off, Ra'jah."

Haw'karra stares blankly at his detached wings. What would happen at his city while he was gone? He wondered...

Ra'jah looked the other direction her eyes squeezed shut.

" Eww." She murmerd, once she hard Ra'keel finished she opened her eyes and slowly looked back other. She saw the wings laying there and nearly ran off right there and then. She carefully got off of Haw'karra still pointing her kinfe at him.

Haw'karra gets up slowly, looking up at them, and feeling light without his wings. "So...Where are we 'heading out' to?"

Ra'keel snarls "That's not your business to hear"

I jump back a little. "Er w-what are you?" I ask. I wounder numbly what his answer might be. Getting past the fact that he's evil I smile at him though I was really only putting on a face as they would say.

Ra'jah thought for a moment.

" Uh.. Ra'keel? Where.. are we going?" She asked putting her hand behind her head, she didn't mean to be so clueless she just didn't know. She smiled embarrased for apparently missing the whole plan.

___________

Haw'ray looked cruiously at her.

" That for me to know and for you to wonder. Now go back home its not safe here." He said not interested in dealing with this girl who was apparently looking to be killed by an angry hawk.
