Miki walked silently as other people walked by her. Her bag was slumped her shoulder. As always, she like talking to people for many reasons that she wants to keep to herself. She made to her class and walked inside. There was people that she saw around school often. She too a seat at the back of the room and dropped her bag next to her.

Amanda took off her glasses, making her surroundings only slightly blurry. She took a glasses case out of her bag and put them in it. Once she put her fluffy hair in a ponytail, she didn't look so much like a nerd anymore, but she still didn't quite fit in. She looked in front of the class with a smile. She wasn't lying. She was rather talkative, and she was very passionate about music, and so she didn't want to be talking through class. She glanced over to Cassidy and gave her a half-concerned, half reassuring smile, then looked forward again.

A second bell rang and Paul wrote something on the board that said 'individuality'. "Welcome to the Glee Club. Since it is the first day, I will let people come in late. Okay, so, who in here knows the true definitation of individuality?" Paul asked the class.

Zack and Aria didnt want to answer unless they truely needed to. Zack and Aria knew about popularity more than about other people.

Blaise thought for a moment. Ha like that exists here. She thought continuing to listen to her music. Even so she thought she would atempt an answer.

" Defining your differences from others and embracing them?" Blaise said cautiously. She didn't normally speak up in class but who knew maybe she could get somehwere in this class.

Cassidy thought a bit on this. There was a few ways to define it but she didn't which one to say. She then sighed before speaking as well. "Some characteristic that defines a person." She said rather reluctantly before putting her iPod up as she listened to what the other girl said.

"Both are good answers. Individuality is about being yourself. And that is what this class is all about. In here, the only person that I want to see out of you is who you really are. This club was made by individual people coming together. This room is here for everyone to see the real you. I mean if you want to say something, but dont know how, then sing it. Do we got anyone here who would like to say something by song?" Paul asked the class.

Cassidy smiled as she nodded. "So something that we deeply feel of our self right? I think I got one." She said as she thought of what she could sing before smiling as she tapped a beat and brought out her guitar. "This song annoys my mom so much but hell I don't care. Guitar class's where helpful after all well thank god." She thought before she sung this. (No surprise right?)

"Wonderful. See that is what I want you to do, stand for yourself. I will show you a song of mine." Paul said as he started to sing:

.

When he was finished he wrote something else on the board. "Okay this week is all about finding your true self. At the end of the week, I want you to perform a song that ends up fitting the real you. Now you may do it by yourself or have one partner to help you with the song." Paul told the class.

Zack looked at Aria. "Do you want to be my partner?" Zack asked her. She looked at him. She had waited along time to sing with Zack. "Sure." she replied.

Chase was listening to his iPod as he walked into the school singing along with his song. "Animal" By Neon Trees. He got louder and louder as he got closer to the room and he walked in singing "WOOO OHHH" loud enough for the class room to be caught off guard. Chase realized they were staring at him so he quickly stopped singing and sat down in the back of the room on the top row. Chase quickly looked over everyone and realized that they were all girls except for him, the teacher and another kid. Its going to be an awkward year, Chase thought

When Amanda found a song that defined her, she grinned maniacly (even though she it was her normals smile, she looked maniacal) and she she stood in front of the class and sang one of her favorite songs:

Blaise flipped through her ipod and found a song. She didn't sing it though, All these people are so confident. She thought as people started singing. Aren't people supposed to perform at the end of the week anyway? She wondered listening to the song she had chosen. She looked at the time. Not as much time had passed as she first thought.

Paul looked at Amanda. "Good job. But, we all know that you cant find yourself in one day. So go out and adventure into the world this week and find out who you truely are and come in here Friday to sing it. Oh, I forgot to mention that each day we will have a theme of the day. Each day, we will sing a new song that fits the theme. Today was a free day. Now I do believe the bell will ring....now." Paul said and the bell rang.

Zack and Aria left the room and went to their lockers. They made sure they had lockers right next to each other everytime. "So do you really think this will be easy?" Zack asked as he put away his bag. "I dont know for sure, but it would be fun." Aria said. "And what makes you so sure? I mean the class is odd already." Zack said. "Yes, I know, but still." Aria said. Aria then started walking away and started singing:

Chase listened to the assignment and went to his locker where he had a note board. He started writing some song ideas down. He was walking down the hallway when he heard a whistle. He turned around and got pegged in the eye with a football. Chase immediately threw off his bag and walked up to the guy who threw it. "What's your problem Allen?" Chase asked getting in Allen the tall football player's face.

"Whats your problem gentleman? Joining Glee Club? Ditching the team to go be with a bunch of queers and losers?" Allen said pushing Chase

Chase pushed back "I'm joining it because I'm tired of us players getting a bad rep because of punks like you. Also I want to broaden my horizon besides playing football. There is much more in life then being a football player douche like you"

Allen swung for Chase but Chase ducked grabbed Allen's hand and slammed it into the locker. The force of Allen's fist and the force Chase threw Allen's fist made the locker bend with a huge bloody fist shape in the center.

Allen grabbed his fist and ran off. Chase then left and went to his math class. Chase pulled out his another note book and started drawing out a list of songs and started crossing some off

Rose was impressed with the amount of vocal talent showcased in class, especially Mr. Jackson’s. Somehow she had gotten the idea that the old man would be a bottom-of-the-totem-pole teacher, forced to teach Glee Club because no one else would, and therefore wouldn’t know anything about singing. But she was quite pleasantly surprised that he seemed to actually enjoy singing and teaching this club. She left the classroom trying to come up with song for the assignment.

As she walked down the hall, she saw a fight breaking out between one of the guys from Glee Club and some other guy who was apparently on the football team. She wondered if she should try to step in and make them stop, but then she considered how much bigger they were than her, never mind that they were upperclassmen. Despite the fact that she was stronger than most other girls, she could still easily get knocked flat by these guys, whether it was intentional or not. She turned to walk the other way and heard a loud slam. She turned around again and flinched at the sight of the non-Glee-Club boy’s bloody fist, and the dent it had left in the locker it had made contact with.

Just don’t get involved, Rose thought. She continued on her way, sifting through songs in her head. There are so many songs I can relate to. How am I going to find one that fits me perfectly? She sighed. At least she had until the following week to try and figure it out.

Cassidy thought about what they where to do as she went to her locked putting up almost all of the books while keeping her backpack and the guitar. "Interesting assignment to say the very least..................." She mumbled before closing her locker as she headed to the class she need to go next. "I want to be able to use my guitar so that takes off a few from the list................" She mumbled once again while heading to class. "I guess I got some thinking to do when I get home but for now let's start strumming.............." She mused holding the guitar in her hands with the strap on her neck.

Blaise kicked up her skateboard taking it with her after the class ended. Immediatly after she exited the area she was bombarded by her friends asking her if she was going tomorrow.

" Well if i signed up for the class it would make sense to show up." She said lazily not wanting to answer their stupid wuestions and here their opinions. After her best friend, Kit, suggested going to the skatepark after school they all seemed to quiet down and go to their classes. Blaise sighed silently thanking Kit. She grabbed her math book from her locker and walked into math class. She noticed one of the guys from the glee club, Odd i don't remember ever noticing him before. She suddenly felt a little guilty but shook off the feeling and sat down.

Chase saw the skater girl from glee club walk in and saw her look at him so he quickly turned his head back to his notebook and started writing up more song ideas until he came up with the perfect song. "This is so who I am and how I feel" He said accidentally out loud. He then wrote then circled one of the songs. "I'll perform it tomorrow " Chase said as he looked down at the paper and pulled out his phone and started writing up tabs for guitar on the song which he would practice tonight after school. He was so excited

Since Rose had taken a detour, she was almost late to her English class. She got in just before the late bell rang. She looked for other people from the Glee Club, but couldn't find any. For the beginning of the class, the teacher assigned everyone to write a journal entry as a warm-up. “Just write whatever you want. You can express your feelings about your first day in high school, or write a story, or anything. I won't read it if you don't want me to—I'll just be making sure you've written the proper length for the assignment.” Rose smiled. Free writing was definitely her thing. She began to write down words about who she was and what she thought she was like as a person, hoping it would help her come up with a song that fit her.

Zack and Aria both got into the math classroom before they were late. "Yay, I mean really." Zack said. "So where should we sit?" Aria asked and then she saw the perfect place. In the middle of the room, were two chairs and Zack and Aria took them. They pulled out their things to be ready to do whatever. Zack and Aria knew that they would find a song later.

Blaise took out a pencil and blank peice of paper. She began randomly sketching on the paper waiting for everyone to sit down. Sh glanced over at the last two people to arrive, it took all she had not to roll her eyes. She looked up as the teacher entered the room then decided not to pay attention today. Her attention was drawn back down to her sketches and she continued filling the paper with designs. Be fore she knew it the bell rang and she stuffed her paper and pencil into her plain black backpack. Before Blaise walked out of the classroom she found herself quickly waving at Chase. Once out of the classroom she found Kit since their next class was together they liked to talk in the hall fora minute.

Amanda ran for the office so that the secretary could write her a note saying that her tardiness was excused, and she went to english class, giving the note to the teacher. She took out a notebook and began to write a poem. When she'd finished, she drew a picture of a tree next to it and raised her hand. "Yes?" the teacher said. "Ma'am, Instead of you reading it, my I read mine aloud to the class? I think that they'd like it." she smiles. "Of course, Amanda." Amanda went to the front of the room with her paper and read aloud:

There once was a tree

a tree that I loved:

a Sicamoore down by the road.

I looked up at the sky

at the ivory branches

more white than the cloudls above.

One day I saw her with sullied bark

I thought she would love me again

but when I looked close

at the awful red mark

I knew I'd never see her again.

It was right then

that I knew for sure

she would never be shady again

And it was then that I knew

that her golden leaves

in the fall would not brush me again

But a dream never leaves

without sicamoore leaves

to blanket a thought, like the sky.

When I think back

I ask myself:

Why did they hurt her?

Why?

(This is a poem that I actually wrote in Real Life, and There used to be a sicamoore tree by the road, but one day we saw it with a red X on it, and it was cut down.)

When the class ended, Zack and Aria went to lunch. Zack and Aria didnt see anyone of their friends so they decided to just sit together.

Rose looked up when a student arrived late to class. It was one of the girls from Glee Club. The girl got her assignment done quickly and asked the teacher if she could read it out loud to everyone. This surprised Rose, because she herself would never have that kind of bravery, especially on the first day as a freshman in high school. “Of course, Amanda,” the teacher said. So, that was her name.

After Amanda read her poem and took her seat again, Rose decided she might get along with this girl. When class ended, she went up to Amanda. “Hey, I really liked your poem. You're in Glee Club, too, right? I'm Primrose,” she said, extending her hand.
