Handhelds are there for portability and convenient when you have some time to kill, especially if you're on a road trip and you're board out of your mind. (Not driving of course.) Console is good for relaxing at home and spending some time with fellow gamers over some good food and drinks having a good time. Both have their ups and downs in their own right.
