Alright, I've had some ideas and it's time I clear them out of my head and give them shape.

 

Chapter 1: Where it all began

21st January 1988

It was a a rainy night at the entrance of Shopping Town, in North or Portugal. Everybody was asleep. Tommorrow was a working day. Seemed like nothing was going to happen.

A cat was around the entrance of Shopping Town, near the garbage cans, searching for some food in the trash. There was a lightning and a sound of multiple metal bodies falling into the ground. The cat was alert. Out of nowhere, a beam of energy appeared and struck the cat. The cat was frozen solid.

 

- I told you to not do that! We have to be silent! - said a rough voice.

- Sorry, but we have to be careful. Remember the mission, we can't let anyone interfer in it. - said a second voice, a woman's voice - Wait, Claudio's gone!

 

There was still a lot of smoke for some reason, even if the people in the apartments woke up, they couldn't see a thing.

 

-That impostor, he got away. Alright crew, we can't proceed with the mission if Claudio's missing. Rita, you team up with Rodrigo and search the south part of the town, I'll search in the north. - said the rough voice.

 

Another lightning appeared and the smoke was gone. The cat defrosted and ran away as fast as it could.

Chapter 2: Chase

The man named Claudio was soaring through the skies. Some kind of beast was chasing him, roaring.

 

- Damn, I can't shake it off, Rita didn't give me permission to use the Super Missiles... - thought the man.

 

They were above a forest. Claudio took aim at the beast and shot a beam of energy. It was no use. The beast continued to chase him like nothing happened. A litghning appeared again out of nowhere and another man was chasing Claudio.

 

- What did I tell you about... Wait, what's it doing here? - Asked the man.

- It came with us, I can't shake it off! - said Claudio. - Use the Super Missiles!

- You think it's that easy? Rita went with Rodrigo, searching for you! We have to joi... - Said the man, but before he could finish, the beast roared and a beam of energy struck the man. The man fell into the depts of the forest.

- DAVID! - Shouted Claudio. Claudio went down into the forest, and landed near a pond surrounded by oak trees. Claudio saw David on the ground, but before he could run up to him, something hit him on the back, forcing him to fall.

 

Claudio finnaly could see the immense beast. The beast could be easily compared to a Pterodactyl, but with some differences. The wings, tail, head and torso were made of steel, while the rest of the body was made of scales.

 

-So... you came after us... - said Claudio. - This time I won't let you kill anyone, Meta Ridley!

Chapter 3: Dissapointments

Meta Ridley gave no time for Claudio to prepare: it whipped his tail and struck Claudio. Claudio fell to the floor, gasping.

 

-Urgh, I need David, where is he? - thought Claudio. Like it knew what Claudio was thinking, Meta Ridley ran to what it seemed to be David and started to attack him with it's claws.

-DON'T YOU DARE META RIDLEY! - Screamed Claudio. he pointed his arm at Meta Ridley, and a flurry of missiles came out of Claudio's hand, aiming at Meta Ridley. It was no use. Meta Ridley didn't even had a scratch.

 

Meta Ridley roared again and a huge beam of energy came out of his chest. Claudio shiftly evaded the blast, but got caught by Meta Ridley. Claudio tried to escape from Meta Ridley's claws, but in vain. It was too strong. Meta Ridley opened his mouth. Something was charging at the end of his mouth. Claudio tried to aim his arm at the end of his mouth, but Meta Ridley was too strong. Claudio couldn't move an inch of his body.

 

Suddenly, something hit Meta Ridley's back, forcing it to fall on it's knees. Claudio escaped from it's claws and aimed at it's head. But before he could launch his missiles, Meta Ridley got back up, spread it's wings, and flew away. Claudio launched some missiles against it, but they all missed. Meta Ridley was already on the horizon.

 

-You alright Claudio? - said a voice. Claudio turned around, and saw David, aiming his arm where Meta Ridley was. - It didn't hurt you?

- No, I'm fine. But I don't understand why is it here. Wasn't Meta Ridley trapped in a cage? - asked Claudio.

- The Professor thought it was enough to hold him until we were sent here. - replied David. - I personally thought it wasn't enough, and now this is the result. Meta Ridley came with us to 1988. If it's here, we're screwed. C'mon, let's report this to Rita.

 

Claudio and David jumped high, and flew away. Claudio felt dissapointed. He thought that by accepting the mission, he would see his old family again. But so far, the mission, in his opinion, is being the same as every other mission he had before.

Chapter 4: The Plan

-What do you mean that it's gone? You should have killed it, it's not supposed to be here! - said Rita to Claudio and David. They were inside a cave, in the forest near to the city.

- If you would have allowed us to use the Super Missiles... - said Claudio.

- You know that I didn't know that Meta Ridley came with us, or else I would have allowed you to kill it right away! - replied Rita. - Rodrigo, what do you think about this?

 

The man named Rodrigo got up. He was very tall, unlike his collegues.

 

- We have to proceed with the mission, even if Meta Ridley came with us. This mission is our top priority, and it's not going to be some Space Pirate's invention that's gonna stop us. - said Rodrigo in his low and paused voice.

- But Rodrigo, Meta Ridley's power is far more powerful than the army of 1988! They won't use the nuclear bomb, that's for sure - said Rita, as Claudio and David nodded. - If they won't use the nuclear bomb, Meta Ridley's gonna eat them alive!

- I know what are the consequences Rita, and don't think that I'm not concerned about the sucess rate of this mission, but the Professor said: "The mission is your top priority, nothing else." - said Rodrigo.

 

Rita turned her back and whispered something about "getting food". She pressed a button on her shoulder: her body started to glow, and where she was, a huge metal body appeared. Rita went outside and jumped into the skies.

 

Rodrigo turned his attentions right away to Claudio.

 

- Why won't you rest? You were attacked by Meta Ridley, you surely need some rest, we can figure out what we'll do tommorrow. - said Rodrigo - And you too David, I'll scout the whole area.

 

Claudio and David got back up and both of them took a capsule of their pocket. They throwed it into the ground, and in their place two beds appeared on the cave's ground. They got into bed.

 

Claudio knew that he couldn't abandon the mission, but he really wanted to see his family alive again, and this was a golden opportunity.

Chapter 5: Revelations

Claudio woke up. He could see the sun set. He looked around. David, Rita and Rodrigo were nowhere to be seen. Probably they went for some food, he thought.

 

Claudio pressed the button on his shoulder, and the Power Suit covered his whole body. he pressed a button near his right ear: the Scan Visor was on. He went outside and looked around. They were 2 miles ahead. Time to go and meet them., he thought. He aimed his arm at the entrance of the cave: an electric web appeared in front of the cave's entrance, blocking entrance.

 

Claudio jumped high and flew away. After a short while, he could see them: they were quiet, in strategic positions. A deer appeared from the bushes. Rita aimed her arm at the deer and shot a blast of energy. The shot was silent: the deer didn't even notice. It fell on the floor, dead.

 

-Alright, we've got food! - said Rita happily. Claudio descended and landed near David.

- Oh, you're awake. We finnaly got food. - said David. Claudio smiled. It was the first time in weeks that Claudio smiled.

- Let's go back. - said Rodrigo. - The first phase of the plan is about to begin, we have to eat fast.

 

The four of them jumped high and soared through the skies. Rodrigo was carrying the deer. They got into the entrance of the cave. Claudio aimed his arm at the electric web that he set, and sucked it like a vacuum cleaner.

 

 

21st January 1988

07:00 PM

 

-Ahhh, that was delicious! - said Rita, while she was picking out food from her theeth.

 

They made a fire in the center of the cave. They already installed everything in the cave. A Scan Machine was in the wall of the cave, scanning the area around them. There were also other machines around, such as 4 Sleep Pods, 1 Recharge Machine, and many others.

 

- Now about the plan. - said Rodrigo. The tension in the room increased.

- The first phase of the plan's about to start. The Professor said that it's severely important to make contact with the President. But first, we need to make sure that no enemies are around. First thing in the morning me and Claudio are going to Lisbon and talk to the President. Rita and David will scout the area around here, just to make sure that Meta Ridley won't attack us again. For now, we stay here. - explained Rodrigo.

 

- Then for now, we rest? - asked David.

- No, we can't rest. Rita's going to enable you the Super Missiles and the Plasma Beam. You and Claudio are going outside and train your aiming abilities.

 

David and Claudio went outside. It was a lovely night, with no clouds. The stars were everywhere.

 

- Wow, look at those stars Claudio. We didn't have any of that in our time.

 

Claudio nodded. The fact that they could redeem themselfes for destroying the future gave hope to him.

Chapter 6: The 1st phase of the plan

22nd January, 1988

07:30 AM

 

Claudio and David were sleeping. They trained for several hours. Claudio was having a dream about his past. He was seeing glimpses of what hapened.

 

- Get him outta here, it's it! Maria, RUN! - said a voice.

- No Paulo, I can't leave you! We promised! - said a second voice, a woman's voice.

An alarm was ringing. Claudio couldn't tell if it was from his dream or if it was real. All he knew after that was that Rodrigo was telling him to wake up.

 

- They're already scouting the area. Get up, we're going to Lisbon.

 

Claudio got up and pressed the button on his shoulder. The Power Suit covered his whole body. Rodrigo and Claudio went outside. It was a rainy day.

 

- Good, we can fly above the clouds, nobody will see us. - said Rodrigo, as he jumped towards the clouds. Claudio jumped as well, and quickly joined him. The sun was above the clouds, giving a feel of dusk on a cotton field.

 

They took the whole morning to get there.

 

22nd January 1988

01:30 PM

 

Rodrigo was checking his Scan Visor. The Scan Visor beeped.

 

- Alright, the President's above us. We have to sneak in. - said Rodrigo. Rodrigo and Claudio descended.

 

It was raining heavily in the entrance of the Parlamento. Strangely enough, there were no guards.

 

- This is not good. Somebody or something got here before us.- said Claudio.

- Then we just have to sneak in. I don't have a good feeling about this. - replied Rodrigo.

 

Both of them entered the Parlamento. The main hall was dark, even with the red windows. Claudio found it weird: the windows weren't red before.

 

- Blood.- said Rodrigo. - Although the bodies aren't anywhere to be seen.

 

There was an explosion in the floor above them. They could hear the explosion. Rodrigo started to run, and Claudio went after him.

 

- I don't like this. The Parlamento isn't destroyed, so it can't be Meta Ridley. It must be something else. - thought Claudio.
