2) If you love Star Wars you will love this

Hear this

Star Wars-style action collides with Game of Thrones-esque drama in this original sci-fi/fantasy epic for mature readers

“Forget a world; we've got entire galaxies, and each planet is unique. But we've also got clear-cut rules, real stakes and maybe even a badass map or two to show where we're headed. Our corner of the universe definitely combines elements of science fiction and fantasy, but I think the story will also appeal to people who aren't necessarily fans of those genres. My goal is always to make comics that you'll hopefully like enough to force on your significant other, especially if he or she isn't into comics yet.”

3) The Plot

“It follows two soldiers — a ram-horned man named Marko and a winged female warrior named Alana — from different sides of an intergalactic war who fall in love and decide to have a baby.

That's when the real adventure begins, as the new family is pursued by everyone in the universe, Vaughan says. "You'll get a nice mixture of some bounty hunters, monsters and all sorts of lovely threats."

4) 3$ for 44 pages

It’s a double size issue so you’re getting plenty bang for your buck

Ifanboy gave it 5 out 5

"It’s clear that Saga is going to be the kind of ongoing series that comic readers will love, with a personal story to connect with up front, on the backdrop of a war on an epic scale. Saga #1 has everything I would hope for in a modern sci-fi/fantasy comic and more. With one issue, Saga has already earned it’s spot as one of the best new comics series of 2012."

So you can tell am very excited to read this

"Well, I stole character names, worlds and some ideas from my childhood self, but this is definitely a new story by and for adults. We routinely hit the complete checklist of obscene language, graphic violence and full-frontal nudity. Sorry again, Mom"

"A lot of things, but I guess I've been thinking about what it means to bring children into the world during a time of multiple ongoing wars, and noticing how a lot of our childhood entertainment maybe helps prepare us for a state of perpetual conflict, for good or bad.

"Also, my kids reminded me that rocketships and dragons are (firetrucking at to edit his writing) awesome."
