Five years ago Betty's parents were killed by the Dark Knight. Now she has gone to join the light warrior to become strong enough to get revenge.(The light warriors are a organisation formed to destroy the Dark Knight). Upon Betty's joining, the Headquarters went under attack from The Dark Knight and his minions the Darkforse. Betty then lost contact with her best friend Amy. (Who is also a member). Betty was then all alone in an unknown place. She then finds a man named Tom and helps him defeat a man who was under the power of darkness and kidnapped Tom. They then both decide to head towards another ofthe light warriors head quarters. Upon there arrival Tom leaves the party, for unknown reasons. Betty then finds Amy and that the HQ was under attack. As she travels alone in the HQ, she finds The Dark Knight. Betty was to obsessed with revenge and fought him. In the battle Tom appeared and saved Betty, only to Betty's demise he was destroyed by the Dark Knight and Betty fell asleep in the end of the battle. After that Betty trained up at that HQ for a week, until the leader confirmed that her, Amy and two other members were going to the destroyed HQ to explore the area. On there mission Betty had found The Dark Knight and found out that she wasn't from this world and the Dark Knight was her brother, Edmond. As Betty then struggled for survival after the building collapsed on her from the battle Edmond and Betty then had she found her old power of a sender. Betty knew that she now needed to defeat Edmond and save the world. While Betty was returning to the HQ a hologram appeared and told Betty that she needed to combine her powers with Edmond and save the world. Betty gained hope and proceeded towards the HQ. She then finds that this HQ was also under attack and finds Edmond at the top of the building. They had their final battle and in the end Betty won. Betty knew what she needed to do and combined their powers together. This destroying both their bodies.

Chapter One, The Message.

Betty awoke from a long sleep; she reached out and felt her hard plastic bed with her fingertips. There was a cold sweat running down her forehead after awaking from a bad dream. Over the past couple of months her dreams were always the same. Others just labeled her dreams as weird; to Betty they were more like nightmares. She dreamt that she was destroying a world. She didn’t recognise it, but she felt as if she had been there before. She laughed as she destroyed people’s homes and ruined people’s lives. Every time she had the dream, it got worse.

She got up, out of bed and put her outfit on. All trainee senders have to wear the same outfit; Betty just called it their uniform. As she walked out of her room she saw Edmond waiting for her. Edmond was Betty’s brother; he didn’t wear the uniform that Betty had to because he was already a sender. So most of the time he wore his casual clothes, but not today, today he was wearing his special sender uniform.

“Morning, sleepy head.” Edmond said as Betty approached him.

Betty groaned, still tired after waking up at 6:00am.

“Did you forget what today is?”

Betty’s face lit up as she remembered that today was the day for her to become a sender. She had been looking forward to becoming a sender for the last two years, ever since Edmond became a sender. There were many upsides in becoming a sender. For starters, trainees got better rooms. Betty was looking forward to getting a new room; she hated the hard plastic ones. When students turn twelve they are allowed to enroll as a sender. Betty had turned twelve a few months ago and now is the first day for her message. Betty had always known what a message was because Edmond would always go on about it. A message is a trial for a student to become a sender. Edmond had been looking forward to becoming a sender for most of his life and when he first became one he couldn’t stop bragging to Betty.

“Oh I forgot!” Betty replied.

“Of course you did, your bad at remembering things.” Edmond said smiling.

“Hey!” Betty replied, starting to laugh.

“Well your late follow me; I know a quick way to the enrolments.”

Betty followed Edmond through the dormitory and down a long hall. The school was made up of six sections, north was all the dormitories, south was the food court. East was training course, west was school class rooms, North West was a training course for advanced members and in the north east was a tower that gave you a lookout around the school. The school was very big, but at the same time it wasn’t a normal school. In the the centre of the school there was a large plaza where most students hung out. A bit north of the plaza was a big lift that took you up to the second plate. The second plate was where students could enroll to become senders. The third plate was the leader’s office. Students aren’t permitted to go there unless you have permission to visit the leader,

Edmond pointed to a tunnel which was at the end of the section. There seemed to be a secret passage.

“So are you still entering as light?” Edmond asked.

“Yeah, because if I enter as darkness you might be my mentor!” teased Betty.

“Like I would like to mentor you anyway, you’re hopeless!” Edmond teased back, smiling.

When students enroll as senders, they can either choose to be a sender of darkness or a sender of light. Edmond chose darkness, but Betty wants to be light.

“Darkness is way more awesome, you can summon Darkforse!” Edmond pointed his hand at the ground and a Darkforse appeared.

“Okay, well here we are.” said Edmond pointing to the exit of the passage.

Betty walked up to see that they have appeared at the start of the food court section.

“Wow! That was fast, thanks Ed.” Betty said turning back at Edmond.

Edmond looks at Betty with an annoyed look on his face. “Don’t call me that!”

Betty smiled. “Sorry! Are you going to be a mentor for the darkness sender trainees?”

Edmond slaps his hand on his face. “Obviously! That’s why I am wearing my sender uniform!”

“Wohoho! If it isn’t Betty Swine!” said a voice from behind them.

Betty had realised who it was before she turned around. Only one person calls her by her first and last name.

“Emma Stickling! What do you want?” asked Betty.

Emma Stickling was Betty’s enemy; they had both hated each other since Betty’s father died. When Betty was five years old, her father was sent to a planet as a sender, on Betty’s Sixth birthday, it was recorded that her father had been killed. Emma teased Betty instead of trying to comfort her, in retaliation, Betty punched her and since that moment they have been sworn enemies.

Emma smiled. “All I wanted was to wish you luck for the message, I am enrolling as well, aren’t you going to wish me luck?”

Betty looks at Emma with an annoyed look. “Leave her alone!” said Edmond.

“Hmm, are you going to be a mentor for darkness?” Emma says turning to Edmond.

“Yeah, I’ll keep an eye on you!” Edmond says starting to get annoyed.

Edmond never liked Emma either, ever since Betty told him about Emma teasing her about their father’s death. The shock of losing their father must have been too hard on their mother, as she soon it killed herself, leaving Betty (at age seven) and Edmond (At age nine) to fend for themselves.

Emma grunted and walked off with her group of friends.

“Come on.” Edmond said, watching Emma walk off.

Betty followed Edmond down yet another long hall, out of the food court section. They made it to the central plaza. There were lots of students there, more than usual, and they had to squeeze past. When they got to the lift there was a long line as students queued up to enroll as a sender. Betty saw Emma ahead and snarled at her. Emma pretended not to notice and walked into the lift.

Finally it was Betty and Edmond’s turn to enter the lift. When they got to the second plate Betty noticed that the enrolments for darkness and light were in different rooms at opposite ends of the corridor. “Enrolments for darkness are to the left, light is on the right.” Edmond said so matter-of-factly. “Ok thanks. Have fun with Emma!” teased Betty as she walked into the room for the light sender enrolments.

“I won’t.” Edmond said waving goodbye.

Betty walked into the room; there weren’t that many students in there. Thankfully they hadn’t started yet, so Betty wasn’t late. She walked up to a desk, to the side of the room.

“Name?” asked the lady at the desk, in a calm and gentle voice.

“Betty Swine.” replied Betty, proudly.

The lady checks her list, on the desk and points to where all the other students are. “Okay good, please line up over there.”

Betty walks over to the group of students; she was quite shy so she didn’t speak to anyone. The lady states that everyone was here and to line up in alphabetical order. Betty didn’t know where to go exactly so she just walked to the back. Everyone starts to shuffle around as Betty just stood still.

“Betty!” said a student pointing at Betty.

“Cayce!” replied Betty.

Cayce was one of Betty’s friends, even though they were more like acquaintances. They didn’t talk much, but Betty was glad she knew someone here.

“You never said you were enrolling as a sender today!” Cayce said.

“We haven’t spoken in like a year!” Betty replied, smiling.

“Quiet, please!” said the lady at the desk.

As soon as she said that, the leader entered the room with two mentors. The leader was an old man named Emblom. Betty didn’t like him much, because he was the one who sent her father to the planet on which he died. Betty had met the leader on many occasions, like when her father’s funeral and sometimes she would just be called into his office. Betty didn’t hate him, she but just didn’t like him much.

“Welcome to your message, this is not a test of skill but a test of heart!”
