Name: Gal*Gun

Platform: Xbox 360, PS3

Developer: Inti Creates, Alchemist

Rating: D (Roughly Teen, I believe. Use one system, world...)

Players: 1

DLC: Unknown

Release: Japan only, released

Sometimes I just poke around the Japanese PSN to see if there are any cool demos. Then I downloaded Gal Gun.

I never thought I would say it, but I finally found a rail shooter I like.

Enter Tenzou, a high school boy who aparently attends a girl-dominant school. The apprentice angel Patoko accidentally leaves her Cupid gun on full-auto, blasting Tenzou with multiple love arrows. Naturally, this makes him irresistable to the surrounding female hoard. The game literally has you fighting girls off with both hands as they come in from all sides (they were jumping down from the roof!) to profess their undying love to you. So how do you fight off these female assailants? Give them some of your mojo! Your "pheromone shots" are just what you need to drive the girls wild, at least enough to make them faint.

Tenzou can't enjoy this sudden surge in popularity, however. The effects only last for one day, and if he doesn't find his true love by then, then he's FOREVER ALONE. Poor Tenzou. That's why you have to charm your way through the masses to find your gal pal. Getting to her's only half the problem though. She may be attacked by evil spirits, or be too sort to get a book she needs. That's where you come in. These sequences are short, fun, and replace boss fights. There is also a heart meter to the side that fills as you defeat the horde (extra points for "ecstasy shots"!) and when used on a girl, it gives you some... private time... purely for admiration of course. There is nothing demeaning or sexual about the game, it just makes you laugh. A lot.

All in all, I really enjoyed the demo. I doubt I'd import the game, but it made for a good time.

Why didn't I go there in high school? I have the worst luck.

How do you get onto the Japan PSN? I'd like to see what's on there. That game sounds pretty crazy and awesome. And I believe a "D" rating is more like what is M is North America.

I forgot the rating systems. It's all too confusing...

And I set up that account a long time ago, so I don't remember the exact process. There are Youtube videos on how to do it, though.
