I read the Topic wrong. I read "Sora's" Punishment, but I don't think that a Dad should embarrass his son like that.

If more parents were like this, we wouldn't have as many idiots in our schools that don't know the difference between China and Japan (true story). It's obvious the father cared for his son, and I thi

Haha, my family would probably say a similar thing if I mentioned this. xD Probably best not to say anything to them about this topic though, they'll approve of it too much. I don't wanna be the next person to end up like that guy. d:

Good point. lol

Thats firetrucking cruel as hell.

Like women who deserved to be raped for revealing clothing, ammirite?

Two wrongs do not make a right, deary.

Didn't know tough family love(a father going through lengths to help correct his young sons mistakes) = women(who I assume are not underaged) getting raped by unknown men because of their choice of clothing.

There's nothing wrong with what the father is doing. Try again sugar(please be female).

Low blow. Sounds like you are blaming the woman for being raped.

There is. I mean seriously, we can go about it with so many things, but I like to question whether they sat down with the son, talked to the son and basically raised up their son better. I mean, we can pull this argument that the Dad tried very little things to keep his son in check and decide to go to an extreme to keep him in check by publicly embarrassing him?

Sure it probably worked. But what if it didn't? What's the next thing? Abuse?

You know what is being a good parent about? Setting an example.

Low blow? You forgot to put in bold "(who I assume are not underage)". Then again, you could have used an example with more sense. I can't be blamed for my response.

The father himself said that humiliating his son in public was a "last resort". Clearly, he tried something else if it was a last resort. Plus, the fact he doesn't want his son to be a "statistic" since he's black, makes me believe he tried. The parents could have raised the kid to be an angel, but when he leaves the house to go to school, he acts differently. The kid is not only embarrassing himself, but his parents also. There's only so much you can do at home as a parent. It's up to the kid to do the rest.

What is your view of abuse?(No need to say, technically I already know) I doubt it's the same as the fathers.

Setting an example? I doubt the father is still in school to show his kid how to act there. As I stated before: "There's only so much you can do at home as a parent. It's up to the kid to do the rest."
