I was playing the HD collection and i've noticed that their relationship is unlike any other in hero and partner(s) games...

For example, Ratchet and Clank. They have fought and had differences...Jak and Daxter have never fought.

Also Sora, Donald and Goofy have had differences which have caused fights...Jak and Daxter have never argued about anything.

Because of this I feel like they aren't as close as Ratchet and Clank or Sora, Donald and Goofy; but still have a relationship that i admire between friends.

This is just something i've noticed and wondering if anyone else has noticed this.

Well if you don't count smacks in the back of the head and a few messing around insults as fighting then yeah you're right.

Yeah, but they know they don't mean anything by it...

They are very close? Fugitives in the future, thrown out to the dessert to die, being the only hope for the precursors. I don't think they have been in the position were they can fight. And they actually cares very much for each other.

You don't have to fight to be extremely close to each other.

They've survived through thick and thin, together! Of course they're close. They can both just take a joke. So, when Daxter says something obnoxious, usually Jak either just laughs or rolls his eyes. They don't fight because they aren't foils of each other. Ratchet and Clank are, Sora and Donald are, etc.

I agree...They definitely care for one another and i said that they aren't AS close as the others because I feel like they haven't really connected on an emotional level such as the ending to A Crack In Time or the ending to KH2...But you know that's just me...

i see what you mean, but i'd say you can tell that they have an emotional connection at the beginning of Jak 2. Daxter breaks into the prison to save him and Jak activates his dark form. Daxter tells him "it's only his old pal, Daxter!" and that's enough to break him out of his uncontrollable transformation.

That's true...

On another note Naughty Dog is a jerk for those DAMN precursor orbs...286...What kind of number is that, not to mention they are hard as hell to obtain...oh well there's two trophies i won't be getting anytime soon...

Daxter did look for Jak for two years and decided to join him in the dessert, also Daxter got pissed when that Count Veger told the truth about what he did to Jak. Also Jak traveled all over the land in the first game to get Daxter back to his original form. Oh yeah there is also the ending of Jak 3. I's say they are just as close as Ratchet and Clank.

Truth...and about the first game...It was Jak's idea to go to Misty Island and one cutscene in Jak II, Jak says "Where would you be without me, ey Dax?" Daxter responds "Well Jak, I probably wouldn't be 2 feet tall running around without a pair of pants...god I miss pants." (I just played that mission...heh) It was the least Jak could do to help...but other than that you're right.

True, they haven't really fought but Jak isn't some dopey RPG with Disney characters that are crying every damn 25 minutes (joke, joke please don't kill meh).
