A power believed to grant the wishes of whomever holds it.
Los Angeles, 2012 AD.The Holy Grail has spent the last 15 years amassing mana, and has begun to weave together in its corporeal form. The Sixth War for the holy Grail has begun. Seven Magi summon seven Servants, each battling for control of the blessed vessel. The death of six Masters will assure the Grail's completion; only one will survive to see it completed.
Rules
There is only room for a maximum of seven participants!
PG-13 is appreciated. Moderate swearing is allowed.
You can't kill other Masters or their Servants without that person's permission.
Have fun! Come on, don't let rules getcha down!
Now, sign-ups are a little tricky. Anyone familiar with the Fate series could just breeze through, but... others may need to do a bit of reading.
Servants are divided into seven classes: Saber, Archer, Caster, Lancer, Berserker, Assassin, and Rider. Only one Servant of each class may participate in each War. Servant classes are handled on a first-come basis. Details on Servants and each class can be found below.
Now, Servants are historical or historically-mythological figures who had a major impact in their world. Please note that they must be existant in our world. Arthur Pendragon and Vlad Tepes III would be acceptable (and have been real Servants), but Sephiroth and Kratos would not be. A full character sheet needs to be made for each Servant, but only a portion will be postedhere. I will require the full sheet to be PM'd to me for verification, to protect your secrets from other players (and no, I'm not a cheater). The following is an example sheet. The text in red should be exempted from the public profile, but kept for the complete profile.
Class: Rider
True Name: Francis Drake, “El Draque”
Appearance:
Weapons: Dual Pistols
Noble Phantasm: “Hunt of the Golden Hind: Golden Stag and the Eventide Tempest”: Rider summons the Golden Hind and the countless ships she commanded in her battle with the Spanish Invincible Armada. They fire a devastating volley of cannon fire, decimating anything in their path. She is able to materialize portions of a ship, namely cannons, to perform powerful attacks without revealing her entire Phantasm.
Bio: Though a man in life, Francis Drake appears as a woman in his Servant form. Born in 1540, Drake is widely considered to be the first person to successfully circumnavigate the globe. In 1588, Drake was made vice admiral of the English fleet when he overcame the Invincible Armada, overpowering them as they attempted to invade England. His clever use of fire-ships to ambush the Spanish all but destroyed the Armada. The next day, his victory at the Battle of Gravelines cemented his place as an Epic Spirit. Drake died in 1596 of dysentery. He asked to be buried in his full armor, his lead coffin buried in the sea where it remains unfound.
Special Abilities: As a Rider, she is gifted with the ability to Ride, allowing her to utilize the full abilities of her mount. In addition, the more treasure she is able to acquire (money, gold, jewels, etc.), the stronger she becomes. She also has resistance to magic spells that require two verses or less to cast. She specializes in combat with multiple opponents thanks to her Military Tactics Skill. Rider also utilizes “Pioneer of the Stars”, a unique Skill given to heroes that became turning points in the human history. All difficult voyages and challenges which are considered "impossible" turn into "events that can be realized".
As you may have noticed, each Servant has an ability called their Noble Phantasm. This ability is a Servant most powerful technique, although it tends to reveal the Servant's True Identity. It is to be used only in dire situations. It is also highly recommended that you do not use actual pictures of your Servant: not only would this reveal their identity, but they would appear differently in their Servant form anyways. It is also highly recommended that you do not select a Servant who has already served in a previous War. (A list of these Servants can be seen above on the "Servant" page)
Masters are much easier to create.
Name:
Age:
Gender:
Bio:
Specialty: Some Magi specialize in certain techniques, such as alchemy. In this age, magic is not as strong as it once was, and true magic is difficult to perform, if not impossible.
Let me know about any questions (as I'm sure there will be). I'll create a character sheet and post it when I'm done.
