Fairy Tail - X791 Arc (7 Years later time-skip)

Posted

This Anime/Manga takes place after seven years gap when their comrades missing for so long.....(for anyone knows this anime/manga,beware of the spoilers...)and now,i'm doing a synopsis about this story of Fairy Tail 7 years post time-skip:

Chapter 1 : Year X791 - Fairy Tail

In Hargeon Town, seven years after the destruction of Tenrou Island, Romeo Conbolt, now branded with the mark of Fairy Tail and wearing clothes similar to Natsu's, stares at the sea while Alzack Connell and his wife, Bisca, watches over him, telling him that they should return to the guild or Macao will worry. Romeo agrees and turns his back on the ocean. Bisca tries to cheer him up but Alzack shakes his head, stopping her.

Meanwhile in the town of Magnolia, inside a tavern bearing the mark of Fairy Tail, the new master, Macao, expresses his worry about his son. His advisor, Wakaba, tells him to calm down, reminding him that he is no longer a kid. The two then begins to argue since Wakaba refuses to address Macao as "master". Since the destruction of Tenrou Island and the disappearance of the most powerful Mages of the guild, Fairy Tail is reduced into a small guild with a few job offers and only a few of its former members remaining. One of which is Laki Olietta who is picking on the now overweight Droy. Jet tries to discourage him from eating, using Levy's name, but Droy tells him that Levy is not coming back. These words are heard throughout the guild and everyone's smiles immediately vanishes.

Suddenly, five men enter the guild and begin to belittle the Mages. The atmosphere immediately turns hostile with Macao reminding the group that they are not welcome in their guild. The leader, Teebo, smirks and reminds him that he is talking to members of the guild that now represents Magnolia, Twilight Ogre. Teebo then reminds the guild about their payment for the month. Macao tells the group that they haven't had any job offers to make money to pay for the debt but promises to pay the group next month. Teebo then kicks Macao, sending him a short distance away. Seeing their master being attacked, the members of the guild prepare to attack but Macao tells them to stop. The Fairy Tail members stop and are forced to watch as the Twilight Ogre guild members trash their guild. The group then leaves with Teebo reminding the guild about their payment for next month.

With the members of the rival guild gone, the Fairy Tail members see Reedus' sketchbook littered on the floor, with the pages torn off. Everyone sees the pictures of their missing comrades and begins to cry. The group then recalls their desperate attempts to find their comrades seven years ago and the downfall of Fairy Tail. Wakaba then notices Macao crying and tries to cheer him up by saying that he did a good job as master but Macao begins to shake, remembering that Romeo hasn't smiled for the last seven years.

Suddenly, the guild hears a sound and goes outside to check, only to see Blue Pegasus Guild's Magic Bomber - Christina. Ichiya then jumps off Christina and greets the members of Fairy Tail. The other members of the Trimens then follow and immediately begin to flirt with Laki but stops when Ichiya told them to. The group then reveals they had detected something in the Eternano Waters surrounding Tenrou Island. Ichiya then says that Tenrou Island still exists.

Chapter 26 : The Door Hidden in the Darkness

After his battle with Bacchus, a seriously injured Elfman is brought by the members of his team to Porlyusica. Erza, Lucy, Gray and Natsu keep praising Elfman but Elfman tells them to stop. He also tells Wendy to take his place. Porlyusica then tells the group to leave as the next match is about to begin. The group leaves, leaving the members of the Thunder God Tribe to guard him. As the group walks towards the arena, they discuss the actions of Raven Tail who have tried and failed to kidnap Lucy. Erza tells the group that they should stay vigilant and not wander around alone.

The group then arrives at the arena and sees that Mirajane is matched with Jenny Realight from Blue Pegasus. However, instead of an ordinary battle, the two Mages are having a swimsuit contest, due to both being models for Sorcerer Magazine. The two then continue to use their Transformation Magic to change swimsuits but neither side is willing to give in, prompting Chapati to say that the next set will be the last. Thinking that her victory is assured, Jenny makes a bet with Mirajane: the loser will have to appear nude in the next sorcerer magazine. Mirajane agrees and Jenny smirks, thinking that the judges will be forced to give her a higher score since they would want Mirajane to appear nude in the magazine, having not aged in the last seven years.

Jenny then transforms into her "battle form". Seeing this, Mirajane begins to transform, saying that they should finish the battle with a "clash of strength". Mirajane then emerges in her Satan Soul: Sitri form which, according to Erza, is the strongest Satan Soul. Mirajane then charges at Jenny, defeating her and earning her team ten points. Forced to follow the deal, the defeated Jenny begins to cry.

Elsewhere, Arcadios is approached by Datong, the minister of defense. Datong asks Arcadios the reason behind him wanting to kidnap Lucy. Arcadios tells him that he wanted to try a test run as he had already completed Eclipse. Arcadios then leaves, saying that he cannot be stopped. Datong asks him if he's a demon but Arcadios says that for the sake of his king and country, a man can be a demon or a god. Arcadios also says that the price of Lucy's life is cheap if it can open the gate way to changing the world.

Chapter 27 : Kagura vs Yukino

With her match concluded, Mirajane returns to her team. While his other teammates congratulate and compliment her, Jellal is troubled by something. Meanwhile, the members of Fairy Tail's other team are still confused with what happened.

The last match of the day is then announced to be between Sabertooth's Yukino Aguria and Mermaid Heel's Kagura Mikazuchi. The audience cheer for the two while Lector and Frosch are confident that Yukino will win. Elsewhere, the other members of Team Sabertooth tells Yukino that she has to win while Kagura leaves her team, confident with her strength. The two female Mages then walk to the center of the arena and prepares to fight. The gong is then struck and Yukino proposes that they make a wager as well. Kagura refuses, saying that she has no interest in bets. However, she accepts when Yukino tells her that they'll be betting their lives, much to the audience's surprise.

Saying that Kagura is unfortunate to be matched against her, Yukino pulls out a key and summons Pisces, much to Lucy, Datong and Arcadios's surprise. Pisces, two gigantic fishes, then appear and charge towards Kagura. Kagura dodges and Yukino summons Libra who uses her Gravity Change to trap Kagura. Kagura, however, easily dispels the Magic with her own Gravity Change and defeats the Celestial Spirits. She then charges at Yukino who summons the rumored 13th Zodiac, Ophiuchus, who takes the form of a giant mechanical snake that charges towards Kagura. Kagura, however, easily defeats it with her sheathed Archenemy and proceeds to defeat Yukino, much to the audience's surprise. Kagura then asks the Sabertooth Mage if she will honor their bet and Yukino affirms, saying that her life now belongs to Kagura.

With the second day finished, Arcadios is anticipating the success of his plan, happy that there is a second Celestial Spirit Mage present in the tournament. Meanwhile, Jellal is troubled by the absence of the strange Magical energy that he had felt every year.

Chapter 28 : Malice is Concealed by the Curtain of Night

After the second day of the Grand Magic Games ends, Jellal and Erza meet under a bridge in Crocus. The two of them discuss the sudden disappearance of the strange Magic that was at the tournament every year. Jellal decides to inspect the organizers directly now and starts to leave, but not before Erza tells him not to overdo it. The two smile, and Jellal leaves, glad he and Erza can finally have casual conversations. As Erza walks back she runs into one of the members of Mermaid Heel, who reveals herself to be Millianna. The two hug, happy to see each other again. Millianna tells Erza Sho and Wally are still travelling, but she decided to join a guild.

Meanwhile, at Sabertooth's lodging, Jiemma, the Master of the guild is furious at the results of the second day. He gives Sting one final chance, but makes Yukino come forward to accept her punishment for losing and staining the name of Sabertooth. He orders her to strip naked in front of her guild members and erase her guild mark from her body. Yukino bows to Jiemma, thanking him for her short time as part of Sabertooth. Jiemma simply demands that she get out of his sight. Afterwards, Sting, Rogue, and their Exceeds walk together. Rogue is furious at how Yukino was treated and questions whether Sabertooth is even a guild. Sting is unaffected by the event though and states Yukino is weak, thus Sabertooth didn't need her. Frosch then asks his partner, Rogue, if he will have to disappear too since he is weak. Rogue smiles and assures him that it won't happen.

Elsewhere in the city, Natsu, Lucy, Happy and Carla walk through the streets. As they come back to their lodgings, they notice Yukino standing at the door.

Erza and Milianna continue talking about Mermaid Heel, and Erza soon mentions Kagura, and compliments her on her strength. Millianna tells Erza that Kagura could be even more powerful if she was serious, but she has nothing to look forward to in the games. Erza then asks about her sword, Archenemy, to which Millianna reveals Kagura will never unsheathe until she faces the man who destroyed her life, Jellal Fernandes. Millianna declares her hate for Jellal as well for forcing her to remain a slave, and for him killing Simon, under the assumption Erza feels the same way. Erza can only glare in shame at this response.

Chapter 29 : Ten Keys and Two Keys

Lucy, Natsu and Wendy invite Yukino into the Honeybone Lodge. It appears that Yukino wants to speak with Lucy; this makes Natsu uneasy because he believes Yukino to be a sinister person due to her involvement with Sabertooth. Yukino then proceeds to ask Lucy to take her two gold keys; Pisces and Libra. She tells them that she had made up her mind to give Lucy the keys after the Grand Magic Games, but decided to do it earlier because she is no longer participating in them and is being replaced by Minerva, one of the "Strongest Five" of Sabertooth. When Lucy is about to decline the offer, Yukino tells her that if she has all Twelve Zodiac Keys, she will be able to open the "Gate to Changing World", an ancient story that she has heard of. Yukino then begins to insist Lucy takes the keys, stating that she is the stronger Spirit Mage, but Lucy declines the offer because she doesn't want to break the bond between Yukino and her Spirits. Yukino resigns and accepts this, but states that the Twelve Zodiac Keys will someday come together. She then leaves with a slight smile, telling Lucy that she hopes to meet her again.

Later that night while Carla, Wendy and Lucy are getting ready to sleep, they begin to discuss how Lucy could have possessed all twelve Zodiac Keys. Lucy tells them that she would have wanted that in the past, but she didn't want to break the bond between Yukino and her Spirits.

Outside, Natsu and Happy chase after Yukino to apologize to her for believing she was a bad person when she turned out otherwise, even though she was from Sabertooth. Touched by their concern for her, Yukino begins to cry and falls to her knees. She then tells Natsu how she had always wanted to join Sabertooth and how she can't go back, due to her loss against Kagura in the Games. She tells them how she was made to strip naked in front of her guild mates and how they made her erase her own guild mark. Finally, she tells them that she has nowhere else to go, since Sabertooth destroyed all of her memories and self-esteem. Trembling with rage, Natsu tells her that because Sabertooth made her cry and feel humiliated, they have no right to call themselves a guild.

n another part of the city, Gray meets up with Erza, who is thinking about the things Millianna said to her earlier that night. Erza then asks what he is doing alone. Gray tells her how he got caught up in some messy business with Lyon and Juvia, and Erza asks Gray if he has now realised Juvia's feelings for him, which causes Gray to become a bit embarrassed. Erza then says that love and hate are things that are too heavy for her and the two decide to head back to their lodging.

At the castle, Arcadios is looking over a huge pile of papers, claiming that he will collect the keys which Lucy and Yukino own and he will go through with the Eclipse Plan. He then begins chanting Zeref's name.

Meanwhile, at Sabertooth's lodging at Crocus Garden, a blast wakes up Sting and Lector. Rogue and Frosch enter the room, telling them that there is an intruder attacking. While running through the halls, Sting asks if they know who it is, but Rogue claims to only that the intruder must have a death wish, barging into their lodgings despite knowing that every member of Sabertooth is there. Down one hallway they see a blast come out of one room and a member flies towards them. Suddenly, Natsu bursts out of the flames, beating all of the Sabertooth members in his way and demanding that they show him where their master is, utterly shocking Sting, Rogue, Lector and Frosch. Jiemma then appears, asking what business Natsu has with his guild. The enraged Natsu then demands a fight with Jiemma for banishing Yukino like he did, and tells him that if he manages to defeat him, Jiemma will have to leave the guild as well.

Chapter 30 : Natsu vs Sabertooth

After breaking into Sabertooth's lodging and beating his way through most of the guilds members, Natsu stands in front Jiemma and the rest of Sabertooth's members, ready to challenge him to a fight. Jiemma questions if he really wants to go through with the fight and Natsu replies that the way he treated his comrades was unforgivable. Rouge and Sting then realize that he was speaking about Yukino. Sting is surprised, thinking how most people would gloat about what happened to Yukino and that it was none of his business to involve himself in their guild's affairs. Jiemma, still unaware of Natsu' s anger, asks if attacking his guild was due to his own sense of justice.

This angers Natsu, but Jiemma sends out Dobengal to fight Natsu as he believes that Natsu is an unworthy opponent. Natsu rushes towards Jiemma, but Dobengal attempts to stop him. Natsu easily dodges and defeats Dobengal in one blow, shocking most of the members in the room, with Lector even commenting on his strength bring on par with the top ten ranked members of Sabertooth. Sting steps forward telling Jiemma that he will handle Natsu, but Jiemma stops as he is now interested in Natsu's capabilities and proceeds to easily block Natsu's initial attack with his right arm.

Natsu is thrown back by this, but begins attacking again with a left hook into Jiemma's right arm, which seems to have an effect on Jiemma. Natsu then punches Jiemma in face and continues with a flurry of attacks, ending with a Raienryuu no Gekitetsu (Lighting Flame Dragons Firing Hammer). This attacks leaves a hole in the building, startling people outside.

Minerva is shown to have stopped Natsu's attack after the smoke clears. She tells Natsu if the fight were to continue he would surely lose and how if Jiemma were to eliminate Natsu, it would reflect badly on Sabertooth. She then tells Natsu that she is willing to compromise with Natsu, saying if he were to back down she would return Happy to him, having captured the cat outside the front entrance of their lodging. Natsu agrees to her terms and backs down in fear of his best friend being harmed, who then tearfully rushes into his arms.

As Natsu begins to take his leave with Happy in his arms, Jiemma complements Natsu on being brave. Before leaving though, Natsu tells them how he won't lose to any of the Sabertooth members and how he won't let them surpass Fairy Tail either. He then leaves the lodging stating that if Sabertooth is a Mages guild, they should take care of their members. The words spoken by Natsu start making Rogue think about the current state of his guild and how the bonds between comrades did not exist. After seeing Natsu's fight with Jiemma, Sting begins shivering with excitement over the strength displayed by his fellow Dragon Slayer.

Chapter 31 : Pandemonium

Yukino Aguria is walking in the town square, with a bag of luggage. She overhears some people talking about the attack on Sabertooth which occurred the previous night. She thinks to herself that Natsu must have been the one that attacked them, and silently smiles to herself at the thought.

The third day of the Grand Magic Games officially begins. Lahar is revealed to be the day's guest judge, who has brought along Doranbolt. Doranbolt was apparently hesitant to accompany Lahar to the games, but his concern for Fairy Tail's well being overrules his reluctance. Meanwhile, the day's event is revealed to be Pandemonium. Erza volunteers to compete for Team Fairy Tail A and Team Fairy Tail B sends out Cana, having replaced Mystogan (who is Jellal Fernandes in disguise) for the day because Lahar who is a member of the Magic Council, might recognize him. Millianna decides to compete for Mermaid Heel because of Erza deciding to compete for Team Fairy Tail A, and Kagura agrees with her choice. Obra is then chosen for Team Raven Tail, Hibiki for Team Blue Pegasus, Orga for Team Sabertooth, and Jura for Team Lamia Scale (a decision made by their guild master), and Nobarly for Team Quatro Puppy.

A giant castle called Pandemonium is created out of Magic. The rules are then explained. Within the temple are 100 monsters, each divided into levels of power: D, C, B, A, S with Matt (the referee and mascot) commenting that the S Class monster would be questionably more powerful than even a Wizard Saint. S class monsters would be the most powerful kinds of monsters, next is A class, and so on. In order, the challengers choose the number of monsters they will face, otherwise known as their "challenge right." They get a point for every monster they defeat, with monster ranks appearing at random. In summary, this is a competition of both skill and luck. Erza draws a lot and gets the first turn, but to the surprise of everyone, she chooses to engage all 100 monsters by herself. After a grueling battle and suffering numerous wounds, she emerges victorious to the astonishment of everyone and to the pride of her Guild and friends.

Chapter 32 : MPF

After Erza Scarlet's overwhelming performance in the Pandemonium event, the crowd begins to cheer, with Doranbolt even moved to tears. The rest of the members of Team Fairy Tail A come rushing towards Erza to congratulate her, complimenting her strength, and Natsu wanting to fight her after seeing her defeat all 100 monsters in the event. With many other competitors acknowledging her strength, Team Fairy Tail A is awarded 10 points.

With no monsters left for the other seven other competitors to fight, in order to decide the ranking of the remaining teams, a simple game called the Magical Power Finder, shorthanded to MPF, is introduced. Mato explains that the competitors will have to hit the MPF device with their Magic and a ranking will be given on how powerful their Magic is. Explaining how he was at a disadvantage because of the game being a test in power, Hibiki Lates of Team Blue Pegasus proceeds to flirt with Team Fairy Tail B's Cana Alberona instead. Cana, under the impression that the event is already finished, drinks several barrels of sake, much to the chagrin of her team members.

The game starts with Millianna, seeing as how she had been initially second to go in the Pandemonium event. When she hits the the MPF with her Kitten Blast, she gets a score of 365, to which Lahar comments to be a score already on par with some of the captains of the Rune Knights. Next, Novally hits the MPF, and is shocked to find out he gets a mere 125. After him, Hibiki heads towards the MPF. Eve Tearm and Ren Akatsuki knowingly state that Hibiki had no chances of winning, given the knowledge-based nature of his magic, with the latter commenting how he should have gone instead. Ichiya Vandalay Kotobuki admonishes the two, telling them to believe in their friend.

Hibiki, however, still winds up with a low score, earning a measly 95. He then goes to Cana, who volunteers to comfort him, to which Hibiki agrees. Afterwards, Team Raven Tail's Obra steps up next and sends his creature to attack the MPF, which only gets him a 4, to the shock of most people around him. Flare Corona complains how he should have tried harder, but Alexei tells her that they need to keep Obra's power a secret. After over half the competitors had gone, Millianna was on top with Orga, Jura Neekis and Cana remaining.

Team Sabertooth's Orga heads out to a massive applause and hits the MPF with his Black Lighting Cannon, gaining a massive 3825, ten times as much as Millianna's score, putting him far ahead the others, shocking Lahar and causing Lector and Frosch to dance in joy as Laxus Dreyar watches with a smile on his face.

Next up, Team Lamia Scale's Jura heads up to the MPF with Chelia Blendy feeling worried if Jura would win or not. Lyon Vastia, on the other hand, is confident that Jura would easily score higher than Orga. Jura then asks Mato if he would be allowed to take the game seriously, to which Mato affirms. Jura than releases his Meidou Fugaku, scoring him a whopping 8544, shocking Gray, Natsu and Orga, as Lyon and Erza look pleased, expecting no less from one of the Ten Wizard Saints. With this score, Jura broke any record ever set with the MPF, leading Makarov Dreyar to compare Jura's power with that of Gildarts Clive's own capabilities.

Finally, Cana's turn comes up, and she heads towards the MPF. As her guild-mates worry over her seemingly slim chances of winning, Cana proceeds to remove her jacket, revealing the Fairy Glitter mark on her arm. Makarov, realizing what is truly happening, turns to Mavis Vermilion, to which the latter explains that she lent the Magic to Cana to ascertain Fairy Tail's victory. Mavis also comments on how Cana already has a tremendous amount of dormant power to begin with.

Cana unleashes Fairy Glitter on the MPF, gains a total of 9999, and obliterating the MPF in the process, to the delight of her guild-mates. This greatly surprises even Jura, as Iwan Dreyar realizes that she is able to use one of the Three Great Magics of Fairy Tail. With both Fairy Tail Teams finishing in first and second place, Cana begins to gloat about her guilds power.

After the Games have finished, Raven Tail's Nullpuding gives Alexei the fixtures for the battle portion of the day. Complimenting the former on the creativity of the fixtures, Alexei then tells the rest of the Raven Tail members to begin their mysterious plan as they each smile deviously.

Chapter 33 : Laxus vs Alexei

The battle portion of day three of the Grand Magic Games begins. The first battle starts with Mermaid Heel's Millianna going up against Quatro Puppy's Semmes with Millianna winning over her opponent having tied Semmes up with her Magic and wins ten points for Mermaid Heel. Erza compliments how Millianna has grown stronger with Natsu and Lucy reminiscing about the time when they were up against her and how her Magic was not to be taken lightly. Eve of Blue Pegasus faces of with Rufus of Sabertooth in the second battle. Eve starts the fight with his White Fang. Rufus tells him that he'll memorize Eve's Magic and proceeds to easily dodge the attack. Chapati announces how both Mages had met in the Hidden event of the first day of the games while Yajima asks Lahar about Eve's previous occupation with the Magic Council. Lahar tells him that Eve was a talented Mage during his time in the council and how his involvement in a guild had only furthered his powers as a Mage. Rufus begins to use his Memory-Make Magic. Gray and others watch nervously while Mavis notices that an ancient spell was about to be used. Rufus then releases Memory-Make: Karma of the Burning Fields, burning and defeating Eve in one hit, leaving him with a significant amount of damage while Rufus picks up ten points for his team. Team Sabertooth smiles over his victory and Frosch and Lector dance happily over their guild-mate's victory, Gray then makes a vow that he will be the one to defeat Rufus's powerful Magic.

Team Blue Pegasus watches as Eve loses with Ren very disappointed in the outcome as Hibiki talks to Ichiya about their current rankings in the games, but Ichiya reassures them that they have a secret weapon in their unnamed member which will help them turn things around. He repeats himself once more about their team’s secret weapon again seeing how he believes it to be very important. His two students thank for the lesson, but begin to wonder who the person in the rabbit suit could be with Ren hoping that it was not a member from outside their guild.

Mato now returns to announce the third battle between Team Fairy Tail B's Laxus Dreyar and Team Raven Tail's Alexei. Laxus's fellow guild members begin to cheer him on as Yajima asks Lahar if any people for his units are present at the time and tells him to be wary of Raven Tail. Makarov then tells Warren to contact Bisca, who is located on one of the higher parts of the arena and asks about any movement by Iwan. With Iwan staying still, Warren goes on to ask Lisanna and the Thunder God Tribe about any movement from Team Raven Tail, but again nothing strange was reported by the group. Makarov then states that he won't let Iwan use his cowardly tactics again like in the battle between Lucy and Flare. Mavis then begins to giggle, with Makarov questioning if anything was wrong she then tells the she is enjoy the situation a bit as they are all willing to protect their friends which causes Makarov to tear up a bit.

The battle starts and before Laxus could finish asking about whom Alexei was he, Alexei rushes towards Laxus and hits him with a mean elbow right to the face. As soon as Laxus recovers he is hit once again, unable to keep up with Alexei's speed. Alexei then hits Laxus with a beam of Magic to his stomach while the Fairy Tail guild watches in shock as battle continues. Alexei then slices Laxus' right shoulder with his right arm causing blood to spill. Chapati then begins to comment on how one sided the battle has been while Laxus falls to the ground with another Laxus watching over him.

Alexei then explains to Laxus the battle going on was just an illusion of a one sided battle between the two created by Alexei's Illusion Magic and tells him that they can't be seen by the people watching. He then tells Laxus that he wants to speak with him and even tells him that if the discussion goes well, he might let the illusion show Laxus as the winner. Laxus then throws down his coat saying how he just beat Alexei now despite the illusion, then the rest of Team Raven Tail appears, stating that not even Laxus could defeat all five of them. Alexei than removes his helmet revealing himself to be none other than Laxus' father and master of Raven Tail, Iwan Dreyar.wan then asks Laxus about the location of Lumen Histoire, but Laxus appears to be oblivious on the issue. Denying Laxus' answer, Iwan asks again to which Laxus replies the even if he knew about it he wouldn't tell them about it. Iwan the ask that he would pass on him winning the battle and tells him that having him make Laxus' illusion lose wouldn't be enough punishment for his insolence. Laxus then tells his father about how he always did things in such a roundabout manor and how he knew all about his expulsion for the guild. Laxus then defiantly beckons Team Raven Tail to face him all at once telling them the enemies of his grandfather are enemies of himself. With dark looks on their faces, the battle between father and son begins.

Really great!!!! ^-^

Chapter 34 : Real Family

The Raven Tail Elite stand before Laxus preparing for their battle. Laxus asks Team Raven Tail about the so called "Specialized Anti-Fairy Tail Guild" and Team Raven Tail proceeds to tell him about how over the past, they had gathered Mages and mastered techniques to exploit Fairy Tail's weaknesses. Iwan asks Laxus if he was sure that he wants to do battle with him and his four elite, telling him how he knew his weakness and that he'd be faced against the power his guild had gathered over the last 7 years. Laxus then reveals that Makarov had also investigated Raven Tail and that they knew about their number of members, activities and funds of the past 7 years. Flare blames Gajeel for Laxus' knowledge and Iwan realizes that Gajeel must have been leaking the information from their guild to Fairy Tail and how he was a double agent.

Laxus then goes forth to tell them how even though they knew all this, Makarov decided not to make a move against Raven Tail, as he remembers back to a time where he was talking to his grandfather where he was told how, seeing that Iwan hadn't made any move against Fairy Tail, it was best to leave them alone. Iwan begins to lose his cool while Laxus continues to tell him how deep down he thinks that Makarov still believed in his son, but this only angers Iwan even further and he then attacks Laxus with his Shikigami Magic, hitting Laxus with hundreds of paper dolls.Iwan begins exclaiming about how he spent all that time waiting in the shadows all to gain Lumen Histoire and demands that his son tells him about where it is. Iwan then commands Obra to take away Laxus's magic power. Laxus identifies Obra as the one who hurt Wendy and Carla and rushes towards him with great speed, braking free from Iwan's magic and then kicks Obra in the head with a powerful force, sending him flying backwards while Iwan watches in shock. Flare and Nullpuding then proceed to attack Laxus with Flare sending her hair at him, but to no avail as Laxus easily dodges her attack. Nullppuding then takes a swipe at Laxus, but again Laxus dodges and then hits Nullpuding into the ground with brutal force telling him that was for Gray. Flare then wraps her hair around Laxus's right arm thinking she had landed a hit on Laxus, but Laxus hits her with a Lightning Dragon's Roar telling her that was for Lucy.

As Iwan stands, there shocked by his son's performance, and how three of his elite had been defeated, Kurohebi appears behind Laxus ready to attack but Laxus easily disposes of the Black Snake. Iwan shouts in shock over the defeat of his elite Mages and Laxus then sets his eyes on his father, holding him responsible for the damage done to his friends. Iwan then pleads for his own safety, reminding Laxus of their relationship as father and son, but Laxus tells him that Fairy Tail is his family and hits his father, stating that he would crush the enemies of his family. Iwan is sent flying into the wall of the arena due to the force of Laxus's attack and with the damage done to Iwan, the illusion is dispelled.

With the illusion gone, everyone present at the Grand Magic Games sees the defeated Team Raven Tail and the victorious Laxus. It is revealed to everyone that the previous fight was an illusion and that Raven Tail had cheated in this battle no matter which way you look at it. The crowd is shocked by Fairy Tail's performance on the third day while Team Fairy Tail B cheers over Laxus' victory and Orga smiles over the power of the Lightning Dragon Slayer. Laxus is then awarded the points and Fairy Tail cheers over his victory.Gray comments on how it felt as if he told Laxus to get revenge on Nullpuding for day one and Natsu says that Laxus just wanted to show off. Lucy says that Laxus didn't have to hurt Flare that badly and Erza compliments her over her kind heart. Makarov looks down on Iwan from the stands, disappointed in what he had just done. As Laxus is about to leave, Iwan tells his son that Lumen Histoire is Fairy Tail’s dark secret and that he will learn of his guilds true colors soon enough. Laxus watches, shocked by what Iwan had just said as his father is dragged away, laughing maniacally, by Fiore's knights. The knights proceed to take away the rest of Team Raven Tail, but when they begin to pick up Obra he uses some form of magic to escape in the body of the black creature usually seen with him and runs away stating that they would meet again. With Team Raven Tail disqualified, the next match begins. Team Fairy Tail A's Wendy Marvell is sent out to battle Team Lamia Scale's Chelia Blendy.

Doranbolt notices Wendy from the crowd, slightly shocked by her appearing in the Grand Magic Games. Lyon thinks about the surprise on Gray's face when they see Cheila's power, but instead of imaging Gray's face he imagines Juvia's with Yuka commenting on the fact while Toby cries in happiness as Laxus had beaten the enemy of his sock. Jura tells Chelia to fight with all her strength and heads out to the battlefield, but then falls over before entering. The crowd begins to laugh at her clumsiness and Wendy heads out asking if she was okay, but also falls over. The two girls greet each other. As the match is about to begin Jellal, disguised as Mystogan, notices a strange magical presence. Ultear and Meredy then feel the same strange presence and Ultear identifies the source as Zeref, as Jellal heads out to find out about it.

Chapter 35 : Wendy vs Chelia

The battle between Team Fairy Tail A's Wendy Marvell and Team Lamia Scale's Chelia Blendy begins. Wendy starts off by using her Sky Dragon Slayer Magic to enhance the strength in her arms and then proceeds to attack Chelia with her Sky Dragon's Wing Attack. Chelia weaves her way through Wendy's attack and counters with her own Sky God's Boreas. Wendy is hit by the attack as Carla cries out her name, worrying about her while Natsu and Orga watch, shocked by seeing how Chelia is able to use Sky God Slayer Magic. With Wendy able to block the black wind, Chelia rushes towards her and hits Wendy with Sky God's Dance, which hurls Wendy up into the air. Chelia continues her assault by jumping after Wendy, but Wendy stabilizes herself in midair and sends Chelia back to the ground with Sky Dragon's Claw. Both girls land on the ground and then both prepare for a breath attack. As the girls charge up their attacks, Gajeel, Doranbolt and Mavis are shocked to see Chelia's Lost Magic, as Lyon smiles over Chelia's powers.

Chelia's Sky God's Bellow and Wendy's Sky Dragon's Roar collide, causing the gales of wind flow through the arena, even being able to blow Chapati Lola's wig off. Chelia stands victorious over the clash between the two spells, leaving Wendy injured and lying on the ground. Chapati begins to really enjoy the battle between the two girls leaving Lahar and Yajima slightly worried for the announcer. Wendy tells Chelia that she was quite surprised by her power and Chelia tells Wendy that Lyon told her about a girl with similar magic to hers, but then worries that she overdid it with her last attack, telling Wendy that she was sorry. Wendy then gets back up saying that she was fine and tells Chelia that she hates fighting but that she had to for her guild. Chelia tells Wendy that she has to do the same for her guild and then attacks Wendy. Wendy takes the hit and begins to remember how everyone was working hard to win the Grand Magic Games for Fairy Tail and how Elfman entrusted her with his place in the games. She then puts the fact that she doesn't enjoy fighting behind her and prepares for a big attack as she begins to eat the air around her. Chelia's begins to do the same as Chapati notices the oxygen around the arena getting thinner.

Wendy then prepares to use one of her Secret Dragon Slayer Techniques. Porlyusica watches Wendy prepare her attack, surprised at how Wendy was able to learn the technique so quickly as Natsu and Lucy watch in glee. Pantherlily watches in shock over Wendy's new attack as Happy asks him about how amazing it is as Carla, with a smug look on her face, states that Wendy would win. Wendy then traps Chelia in a barrier of wind and then attacks Chelia with Shattering Light: Sky Drill. The crowd watches in shock over Wendy's attack and Team Fairy Tail A cheers over her performance. Chelia then falls to the ground, covered in wounds. Wendy staggers over stating how she wasn't able to master Milky Way yet, but thinks that with her last attack she had won the battle. As Mato is about to give Wendy the victory, Chelia gets up. Wendy watches with wide open eyes as Chelia injures appear to have vanished. Lyon states the Wendy's strength was not enough to defeat Chelia and that was why she was able to restore herself, saying that Wendy would stand a chance of winning. Erza and Gray watch with Gray slightly annoyed about how Lyon had a girl like Chelia on his team. The rest of Lamia Scale begins to compliment Chelia, who asks Wendy if she was going to give up on their battle. Doranbolt watches nervously from the crowd, concerned about how the battle will end for Wendy when Jellal Fernandes, disguised as Mystogan, accidentally bumps into him, for which he apologizes. Doranbolt assumes that it was Mystogan who had just bumped into him and watches as he walks into the crowd. Jellal then makes his way into the crowd and takes a look upon the battle. He begins to wonder if Chelia could be related to Zeref in any way and then begins to worry for Wendy.

Chapter 36 : A Small Fist

Wendy stands injured before Chelia, refusing to give up to the young God Slayer, much to Chelia's disappointment. From the side lines, Wendy's team worries for her safety after Wendy's last attack proved ineffective due to Chelia's powerful healing abilities. Jellal watches the battle from the crowd, contemplating if the Magical presence felt by him and the rest of Crime Sorcière is coming from Chelia. He wonders if he should interrupt the battle, worrying about Wendy's safety. Also in the crowd, Doranbolt feels concerned about Wendy's well being, but continues to focus on Jellal, who he believes is Mystogan. Looking back to the time when he infiltrated Fairy Tail, he remembers that Mystogan is no longer a member of the guild, and begins to approach Jellal to uncover his true identity. While Jellal watches Wendy's battle, he notices Doranbolt out of the crowd and begins to become worried over the Magic Council member's presence.

Meanwhile, on the battlefield, Chelia still believes that Wendy should surrender to her, as she does not enjoy one sided violence and wouldn't enjoy their battle anymore, having the advantage over Wendy. Even with the odds stacked against her, Wendy still refuses to give up. Believing in fighting for her guild, Wendy tells Chelia that she doesn't need her pity and asks her to fight her with all her might. Chelia agrees to this, pleased with Wendy's etiquette and prepares her next attack. Black wind surrounds Chelia's arms, as other members of her guild worry about Wendy, thinking that if she is hit by this attack the poor Dragon Slayer will die. Chelia then releases her Sky God Secret Art: Heavenly Gathering of Clouds, and black winds rush towards Wendy. However, the attack misses as Wendy used her magic to restore Chelia's vitality from fatigue (something which Chelia's magic cannot do) increasing her physical strength causing its momentum to be overshot. Wendy then quickly begins her counter attack, slashing away at Chelia's arm, causing blood to spill from it. Chelia quickly heals herself from the attack and the two girls proceed to clash with a powerful kick from each of them, which gives out a large gust of wind on impact. The two continue to exchange blows between each other until the time limit of the battle runs out, ending the battle with a draw, with the two girls completely exhausted afterwards. Both teams gain five points each, with all the members taking the result in good hearts. Jura compliments Wendy on her growth and strength, seeing how when he saw her for the first time, she was a shy girl lacking in confidence. Wendy then collapses to her knees in exhaustion and Chelia goes to heal her wounds and tells Wendy that the two of them should become friends. Wendy agrees and the third day ends with both of them shaking hands as new found friends as if nothing happened.

Back in the stands, Doranbolt proceeds to follow "Mystogan" as Jellal realizes that the Magical presence still lingered even after the battle between Wendy and Chelia. He then picks up the location of where the Magic is actually being emitted from, and heads towards the exit with Doranbolt still following him. Jellal then actives his Meteor to head to the exit, leaving Doranbolt behind him, something which makes the Magic Council Mage angry, due to him being noticed by his target. Jellal then finds the man responsible for the presence hidden in the crowd. He begins to rush towards to the man, but suddenly, in the blink of an eye, Doranbolt appears in front of him, stopping him in his tracks. With Jellal's advances stopped, the mysterious man walks off with the crowd as other Council members gather around Jellal. Doranbolt then reveals that he knows the truth behind the real Mystogan and demands to know about the real identity of the Mystogan which stands before him, as Jellal begins to stress over his identity being compromised. Meanwhile, Erza seems to feel what's going on with Jellal's condition.

Chapter 37 : Night of Intersecting Feelings

Doranbolt continues his confrontation with Jellal Fernandes, who is disguised as Mystogan. Jellal tries to walk away by claiming that he is in a hurry, but Doranbolt says that he can't let him do that because Mystogan is "no longer in this world." He then pulls off Jellal's cap and everyone is shocked to see that it is the criminal Mage. Before any action can be taken however, Yajima walks up and casually greets Jellal, calling him "Mystogan-kun". Yajima then explains to Lahar and Doranbolt that Mystogan was unfortunately born with the same face as Jellal because he's from Edolas, stating that the Fairy Tail Mage covers his face to avoid people thinking they are the same person.

Concurrently, Kagura Mikazuchi and her fellow teammates are walking through the Domus Flau when Kagura notices Jellal and becomes physically sick, much to the shock of her teammates. When her teammates look around asking for help, Millianna also sees Jellal and tries to go over to him, but Kagura halts her by stating she is fine and quickly leads her guildmates away from the scene. As they walk away, both Millianna and Kagura question what Jellal is doing as a part of Fairy Tail.

As Yajima rectifies the situation, Lahar apologizes and Jellal leaves. As he is leaving, he telepathically thanks Yajima and Yajima tells him to get lost before he causes Makarov any trouble. Jellal replies that he will as soon as the tournament is over. Meanwhile, Lahar, not fooled by Yajima's words, whispers to Doranbolt that the Jellal they have just seen is the real deal and that Yajima was just trying to save him. As Jellal navigates through the crowd looking for the evil presence he felt earlier, he is unable to find it.

Elsewhere, in a park somewhere within Crocus, Laxus asks Makarov what Lumen Histoire is, conveying Ivan's earlier words that it is Fairy Tail's darkness. At that moment, Mavis interrupts and says that it's not Fairy Tail's darkness, but the light of Fairy Tail. Makarov tells the first master that she shouldn't continue to talk about it, since it can only be discussed by those who will and had been Fairy Tail Masters, and Mavis replies that she knows. She then asks Laxus to understand and Laxus replies that he won't pursue the subject further. Makarov then asks Mavis where Ivan could have possibly gotten information on Lumen Histoire, and Mavis tells him that it was most likely from Purehito. She then blames herself for this confidential leak, something Makarov denies is her fault. To Laxus and Makarov's shock, she begins to cry as she thinks she made poor judgement in her choice of the second guild master. Makarov tries to persuade Laxus to comfort her, but he refuses.

Elsewhere, at Bar Sun, almost all of Fairy Tail's Mages have gathered and are having a party. Meanwhile, Elfman Strauss, who is still hospitalized, wakes up because he sneezes. He sees that Evergreen is sleeping beside him and that she has watched over him while he was unconscious. Upon noticing this, he says "woman." Back at Bar Sun, Natsu and several others have started "barrel surfing", a game that involves putting a board across several barrels and surfing on them across the room.

Meanwhile, in Crocus Gardens, Lector comes out of his room and asks Sting Eucliffe, who is standing on his balcony, why he isn't asleep. Sting replies that he has the strange feeling he is going to be fighting Natsu during the fourth day of the Games, and states that he can't sleep because he's been waiting for the moment for seven years. Elsewhere, Yukino Aguria dressed in some sort of uniform, asks to have a word with Arcadios.

Chapter 38 : Naval Battle

The fourth day of the X791 Grand Magic Games begins as the event portion is revealed to be Naval Battle. The rules of the event are explained: A giant sphere of water floats in the middle of the arena and each contestant has to try and knock the others out of the sphere to win. The last one remaining is the winner, but a special rule has been placed for the last two contenders, being that when there are two left in the sphere, a five minute countdown will begin. If one of the two remaining contestants is knocked out of the sphere within these five minutes, they will automatically come in last place. The announcers get ready for the match with the theater director Labian filling in as the guest for the day and the contestants enter the sphere of water. Team Lamia Scale sends out Chelia Blendy, Jenny Realight heads out for Team Blue Pegasus, Risley Law and Juvia Lockser make a return to the event portion for Team Mermaid Heel and Team Fairy Tail B, Minerva makes her début for Team Sabertooth to a large applause, and Lucy Heartfilia heads out for Team Fairy Tail A. The rest of Lucy's team cheers for her, believing that with the help of Aquarius she had a good chance of scoring high in the event. With all the girls in their swimwear the announcers get rather exited, forgetting that Team Quatro Puppy's Rocker is also in the event.

The event begins and right off the bat, Lucy summons Aquarius, causing some of the other contenders to feel nervous. To try and stop Aquarius from attacking, Juvia sends out a Water Cyclone towards Lucy in an attempt to hold Aquarius back. As the two girls clash, Jenny sees this as an opportunity to gain some points and proceeds to kick Rocker out of the sphere, much to his fellow members disappointment. Chelia then attacks Risley but Risley evades the attack using her Gravity Change, becoming skinnier once again, much to the pleasure of the male audience. Aquarius then tells Lucy that clashing with Juvia isn't going to end well for her as she has yet another date, and she leaves Lucy wide open as she returns to the Celestial Spirit Realm. Juvia then attacks Lucy, almost sending her out the sphere, but lucky Lucy is able to summon Virgo and Aries to stop her from being knocked out; both Spirits appearing in bikinis, pleasing the male audience once again.

The battle continues as Chapati cheers for Chelia and wonders why Wendy wasn't sent out for Team Fairy Tail A, much to Lucy's annoyance. Juvia prepares for a large attack, stating that she will knock everyone out of the sphere and that no one will win against her in the water. She then releases a huge torrent of water dedicated to her "love" for Gray, who tells her to quit with her obsession. Juvia's attack sends Jenny, Risley and Chelia out of the sphere, but Minerva blocks her attack with her Magic and Lucy is once again saved by Virgo and Aries. Juvia take a moment to take in the applause for her amazing performance as out of the sphere Chelia sits depressed over how her Magic was ineffective in the water. Juvia then looks to Gray for a positive reaction to her attack only to see his face in a state of disgust, shocking her. Juvia then falls out the sphere whilst she is distracted, annoying her fellow team members and landing her in third place. From the sidelines, Team Sabertooth comment on how Minerva could have easily won the event from the start and that the rest of the event will not be much of a challenge for her.

With only Lucy and Minerva left in the sphere, the special five minute rule goes into play, meaning that should either Lucy or Minerva be thrown out of the sphere, they will come in last place. Yajima wonders what purpose there was in adding the rule, to which Labian replies angrily that it adds to the tension of the event. Minerva states that with her power she will be able to send Lucy out the sphere in a flash, but believes that that will not satisfy her, so she decides to see how long Lucy can last. She then proceeds to attack Lucy, causing a large impact against the left side of Lucy's body. Erza wonders how heat is being created in the water as Lucy is again hit once more on her back. Natsu begins to worry about Lucy as Gray wonders about Minerva's Magic. Lucy then reaches for her keys, but somehow they appear to be missing. She then realizes that Minerva was able to take them away from her, causing a lot of confusion on Lucy's behalf. Lucy is once again sent flying to the edge of the sphere but is able to stop herself in time only to be hit once again by Minerva's Magic. With time slowly slipping away and Lucy unable to attack, she begins taking in and standing against Minerva's attacks.

As the time lowers to just over a minute, Minerva prepares to send Lucy out of the water, but Lucy still refuses to give in to her attacks, telling her that if she loses here she won’t be able to look her fellow guild members in the eye after their outstanding efforts. Minerva seizes her attack, much to the surprise of the announcers. Suddenly with a sadistic look on her face, Minerva hits Lucy with a massive spell, surrounding Lucy. Lucy begins to scream out in pain, much to the shock of Natsu, Gray and Juvia. Minerva tells Lucy that she is too naive in her underestimating of Sabertooth, and sends Lucy flying towards the edge of the sphere. As Lucy floats towards the edge, she is suddenly sent flying back towards Minerva, who kicks her in the back. The Fairy Tail members watch as Lucy is manhandled in front of the entire crowd, causing anger throughout the rest of the members. Team Sabertooth glare mockingly at Team Fairy Tail A, causing rage to flow through Erza, Gray and Natsu. As Minerva laughs at the pain she is causing Lucy, Arcadios orders the event to a halt. Mato ends the event and Minerva hangs a bloody and bruised Lucy outside of the sphere. As Natsu cries out for Lucy and medics are called in to the arena, Sting Eucliffe laughs, delighted over Minerva's cruel hearted victory as the event portion of the day ends.

Chapter 39 : All Feelings Unite

With the 4th day's event finished, a triumphant Minerva holds Lucy, injured after the event due to a fierce attack Minerva, around her neck outside the Naval Battle's water sphere. Natsu and Gray both run into the arena as Minerva drops Lucy from a great height. Luckily, the two are able to catch Lucy's limp body before it hits the ground. Angered by the harsh assault of his friend, Natsu questions Minerva sadistic actions while Gray tries to get a reaction from an unconscious Lucy. Medics yell that they need to get Lucy to the medically facility, but Wendy intervenes, telling them that she needs to treat her before she is taken away with her magic. Chelia and Juvia head out to help while a worried Arcadios watches from the sidelines

Minerva then exits the sphere while an angry Erza glares at her. Minerva asks her why is she so mad and states that she merely took advantage of the rules placed in the event. Minerva then proceeds to mock her, telling Erza then she should be rather grateful she let Lucy take second place and then calls Lucy trash. Natsu then gets ready to attack Minerva for her insulting behavior but Minerva's fellow team mates; Sting, Rufus and Orga jump to her defense and Erza then stops the angry Dragon Slayer from doing anything reckless. The crowd watches the two team's standoff in suspense. Erza states that it was wrong of them to make enemies of Fairy Tail, even if they are the current strongest guild in Fiore.

Later, in the medical room, the rest of Team Fairy Tail A's members gather around their injured team mate with mixed expressions of worry for Lucy's well being and rage at Sabertooth. Suddenly, Team Fairy Tail B enters the room to check up on Lucy, surprising Gray. Porlyusica and Wendy then inform the two teams that thanks to the combined efforts of Wendy's and Chelia's healing abilities Lucy's life was not a risk, much to the relief of all present. Lucy's then regains consciousness and tells her team the she is sorry for losing again, but Gray and Erza tell her that her performance was great as it earned their team 8 points. Lucy then asks for her keys and conveniently Happy appeared to have picked them up and then gives her them. She then quickly falls asleep with a smile of relief while the others begin to discuss the position they are now in. Suddenly, Makarov enters the room to explain that both teams have now been formed into one due to the uneven number of teams remaining after the disqualification of Team Raven Tail. Carla asks about what would happen to the amount of points their team will have, to which Makarov tells her that they will be left with the lowest scoring teams points, leaving the new Team Fairy Tail with 35 points. With matter of points settled only the thing at hand is who will be chosen for the team. Porlyusica advises them to choose carefully as the 5th day's battle would surely include all five members of each team, but Natsu insists on fighting, seeking revenge on Team Sabertooth for what they did to Lucy.

With Fairy Tail's team reorganized, the battle portion of the day begins and the matches for the 4th day are announced. Team Blue Pegasus is to face off against Team Quatro Puppy, Team Mermaid Heel will battle against Team Lamia Scale and Team Sabertooth would fight against the new and improved Team Fairy Tail, with the announcers stating that Sabertooth's and Fairy Tail's match would be the most interesting. With introductions out of the way, the gates open to let the teams out into the arena and Fairy Tail's new team head out to monstrous uproar from the crowd and much praise from their friends. Chapati then presents the new Team Fairy Tail: Gray, Erza, Natsu, Gajeel and Laxus now represent their guild together with all eyes on them.

Meanwhile, Datong notices that Lucy is not among the ranks of Team Fairy Tail. Arcadios then appears to tell him that she is currently in the medical facility. Datong then questions if his plan to capture the Celestial Spirit Mage would be a success unlike last time, which he reassures that he will not fail in capturing Lucy a second time. He then tells Datong to enjoy the festival as three days from now, the Eclipse Plan would be set into motion. Datong begins sweating as Acardios states that the world will be reformed and that Zeref had been waiting long enough for this moment. Now, with no way of stopping the plan and the Tag Battles about to begin, the members of Team Fairy Tail and Sabertooth stare each other down as Datong heads towards a carving of a dragon and a man battling against each other and states that the festival goes by another name: The Dragon King festival.

Chapter 40 : The Perfume Dedicated To You

The tag team battles begin with Ichiya and the masked person in the bunny suit fighting Bacchus and Rocker. Everybody is curious as to who is in the bunny suit with Ren commenting how he nor any of his team knows who it is and is shocked to see Hibiki and Jenny kissing each other. Ichiya excitedly reveals it to be his Edolas counterpart, Nichiya. Everybody is surprised, especially Natsu, Gray, Happy, and Pantherlily. The two counterparts strike a pose, while everybody else makes unsatisfying faces, and Ichiya calls meeting himself destiny. Bacchus then lunges at Nichiya and hits him down instantly, with Ren asking Ichiya if his counterpart can actually fight. Ichiya is still convinced the Exceed can, until it is pointed out that he has already fainted from the single attack. The two Quatro Puppy teammates then start attacking Ichiya. As Ichiya continues to take attacks he thinks about how his counterpart agreed to battle even though he knew he had no skills. Ichiya suddenly gets very serious and dedicates his next perfume attack to Nichiya. Ichiya uses his Power Perfume attack, Hohoemi, and punches both Bacchus and Rocker with all of his might, flinging them into the arena walls and giving victory to Team Blue Pegasus. Everybody is impressed by Ichiya's display of power, especially Erza, who is surprised he defeated Bacchus.

Next, Millianna and Kagura fight Lyon and Yuka, though the battle ends in a draw. As Kagura and Millianna walk away, Lyon and Yuka notice how Kagura still didn't use her full strength. Kagura also lectures Millianna, urging her to become stronger, for she claims that if Millianna were to fight Lyon in a battle to the death, she would lose.

Finally, Team Fairy Tail and Team Sabertooth prepare to fight. The crowd roars as Team Fairy Tail's representatives, Gajeel and Natsu take to the field to fight Sting and Rogue.

Meanwhile, in an unspecified location, Igneel speaks to himself, curious to see the potential of the Dragon Slayers his fellow dragons, Vicelogia and Skyadrum, have created. This leads him to wonder if humans will ever exceed dragons, or if it is a mere dream. Igneel realizes the time for dragon-kind to take action is soon, as the Dragon King Festival approaches. As this happens, all four Dragon Slayers confront each other, ready for battle.

Chapter 41 : Battle of Dragon Slayers

Various members of Fairy Tail speak optimistically about the battle that is about to commence. Sting Eucliffe thinks to himself about how long he's waited for him and Natsu to battle and Mato announces the start of the match. Immediately, Natsu and Gajeel rush in front of Sting and Rogue and land punches on both of the Mages, much to everyone's shock. Natsu and Gajeel continue their assault on the twin Dragons knocking them both back. Sting then uses his White Dragon's Roar on Natsu as Rogue uses his Shadow Dragon's Slash on Gajeel. However, Gajeel blocks this attack with his Iron Dragon's Sword and knocks Rogue back.

Natsu then grabs Rogue by his face, brings him towards Sting and uses his Fire Dragon's Wing Attack on them both. Happy and Pantherlily are visibly pleased and Lector and Frosch, along with the audience, are shocked at this development. Chapati Lola comments that the Twin Dragons of Sabertooth are being pressured. Sting then comments that Natsu is strong like he thought he was and Natsu asks them if they really beat Dragons with that level of power. Sting corrects him telling him that they did not beat them, but killed them. Natsu asks him if they were his parents, but Sting tells him it has nothing to do with him.

He and Rogue activate their White Drive and Shadow Drive respectively and prepare to counterattack. Jiemma comments that it is over for Fairy Tail. Sting then charges at Natsu and lands a punch on him. As Gajeel looks over to Natsu, Rogue kicks him and lands several other blows on him. Mavis Vermilion comments that they are using a Magic Amplification Technique. Sting then tells Natsu that he always looked up to him and aimed to surpass him and that he can finally do it. He attacks Natsu with his White Dragon's Claw and leaves a stigmata on Natsu's body that he explains robs a body of it's freedom. At the same time, Rogue, in his new shadowy form, gets behind Gajeel and prepares to punch him.

However, Gajeel catches the punch and Natsu punches Sting. Sting asks Natsu why he can move and notices that Natsu burned the stigmata away. Natsu and Gajeel then tell Sting and Rogue that they are good but not good enough. Gajeel and Natsu then continue their assault on Sting and Rogue. Sting then comments that Natsu and Gajeel are good so he'll use his best to defeat them. He fires his Holy Nova and causes a massive explosion on the battle field. However, Natsu blocks it with one hand, something which shocks Orga Nanagear and Rufus Lohr. Once again, Gajeel and Natsu continue assaulting the Twin Dragons. Makarov Dreyar is shocked to see that three months of training and the releasing of Natsu's Second Origin made them that strong. Yajima comments that the level of power is too different between the two sets of Dragon Slayers.

As Sting and Rogue lie battered on the floor, Chapati Lola wonders aloud if this is the end of the match. At that moment, the two Mages get up and Lector tearfully calls Sting's name. Sting then replies saying that he knows and that "it's a promise" and that he can't lose for Lector's sake. He and Rogue then activate Dragon Force. Gajeel, Natsu, Makarov, Mavis, and Jellal are shocked to see that they can activate it on their own and Minerva comments that Fairy Tail should quake before the true power of Third Generation Dragon Slayers.

Chapter 42 : Sting and Lector

With Sting and Rogue's full powers released, the crowd watches as the battle between the four Dragon Slayers continue. In the crowd, Jellal watches in shock at how Sabertooth’s Dragon Slayers are able to activate Dragon Force through their own will, and comments on how Natsu had to go to extremes to gain that power. Sting tells his teammate to step back from the fight, believing that he will be enough to handle Natsu and Gajeel. As Sting approaches, Gajeel believes that they are being underestimated, but Natsu tells him otherwise, knowing that Sting is strong. Sting then rushes towards Natsu, landing an easy blow to his face. Gajeel tries to attack the White Dragon Slayer, but Sting is quick to dodge the attack and sends a bullet of Magic at Gajeel, hitting him in the face. Natsu jumps back to attack Sting but his fist is caught by Sting, who proceeds to knee him in his stomach. Sting then throws Gajeel into Nastu and jumps into the air to attack them with a White Dragon's Roar, which ends up destroying the floor of the arena. With the battle going underground a Lacrima screen is put up for the crowd to watch the exciting battle.

Sting charges into the newly made hole to continue his attack but Natsu recovers his footing using a piece of the fallen rubble to counter Sting with Fire Dragon's Sword Horn, sending Sting up into the air and making him easy pickings for Gajeel, who hits Sting with a roar of his own. Sting is sent into some rumble but easily brushes it off and begins to attack with a Holy Ray, sending streams to light into Gajeel and Natsu. As Natsu rolls along the ground he sees Sting coming towards him for another attack and tries to block it, but he is sent flying into some buildings underground and then continues to dominate the battle by himself.

The crowd watches as Sting continues his relentless attacks on Natsu and Gajeel, and Sting remembers the promise he made to Lector many years ago to beat Natsu with the whole world watching so that people would no longer claim that Lector was lying when he said Sting had defeated a dragon. Remembering this, Sting wonders if Lector is watching his battle as he stands triumphant over the battered bodies of Natsu and Gajeel, with Lector in delight over Sting's performance. Rogue then arrives underground, looking over the other three fighters, stating that the era of the old generation of Dragon Slayers is now over. With the rest of Fairy Tail depressed over the current situation, Sting powers down. He then compliments Gajeel and Natsu on their strength.

Suddenly, with everyone thinking that the battle is finished, Natsu and Gajeel stand up as Sting watches with a shocked expression. Natsu and Gajeel begin to rub their injuries and tell Sting that he's stronger than they expected, but also inform him that they have been memorizing all of his habits in battle. Hearing this news, Fairy Tail cheers up as Sting questions how they were able to do that with him using Dragon Force, to which Natsu replies that his power was great, but gives him an example of what they have discovered about him, with Natsu saying that he pivots his leg to eleven o’clock when he moves to make a blow. Hearing this, Gajeel disagrees and says that he moves his leg to ten o’clock. The two begin to argue with each other, Natsu ending the squabble when he pushes Gajeel into a nearby mining cart and sends him rolling away. With Gajeel gone, Natsu now turns to the confused Sting and Rogue, telling them that seeing how they underestimated him, it’s his turn to take both of them on. With Natsu fired up, the match continues while Gajeel hopelessly rolls along the tracks in the mine cart, unable to move due to motion sickness.

Chapter 43 : Natsu Vs. The Two Dragons

As the crowd awaits Natsu to fight Sting and Rogue, a mysterious person in the crowd cries after seeing Natsu fight, and Jellal, Meredy, and Ultear immediately recognize it to be the unknown Magic source. Jellal is worried about Natsu's fight, but goes in pursuit of the mysterious person anyway.

Meanwhile, Sting and Rogue are still shocked Natsu wants to take the both of them on by himself. Rogue claims he only wants to fight Gajeel, but Natsu says if he wants to fight Gajeel he'll have to get past him first. Sting uses Dragon Force and lunges at Natsu. Natsu blocks the attack as Sting boasts he used this power to defeat his dragon foster parent, Weisslogia. Natsu smiles and claims that he'll use his power to fight for the friends Sting made fun of. He then punches Sting, sending him back a bit. Rogue then uses Shadow Dragon's Roar, but Natsu's Dragon Roar is able to overcome his, as Rogue takes a heavy hit from the attack. The two Sabertooth members claim it's not over yet, and Natsu willingly baits them to come on for more.

The whole guild watches as Natsu is able to overcome the duo, while Sabertooth watches in shock at their guildmates demise. Lector cries for Sting and remembers the time he begged Sting to become his master. Sting had been surprised that Lector wasn't scared of him, and was a bit taken back that his student would be a cat. However, Sting had accepted him though, telling him to follow along.

Back on the battlefield, Sting and Rogue prepare to use a Unison Raid, as Lector cries out for his master. The duo use Holy Shadow Dragon's Flash Fang just as Natsu uses Crimson Lotus: Exploding Flame Blade. Mavis notes how only the power of feelings are able to conquer any type of power as the whole stadium waits to see who comes out victorious from the final attack. When the dust and rubble clears, Rogue falls down defeated, claiming to himself that he cannot see the end of Natsu's power. Sting lies down defeated as well, apologizing to Lector. The stadium roars as Natsu stands victorious.

Chapter 44 : The Face of the Girl I Saw

The crowd cheers as Natsu stands victorious over Sting and Rogue, and the rest of Fairy Tail is in delight over their recent victory and finally taking first place on the table. Chapati Lola then announces the plans for the last day of the Grand Magic Games, revealing that there will be a survival battle involving every member of the teams participating. With this news and Fairy Tail in first place, each guild resets their goals for the final day, all vowing to take out Fairy Tail. Meanwhile, Lector is still in tears over the tag battle between Team Sabertooth and Team Fairy Tail, and in the stands, Orga and Rufus discuss their shock over Sting and Rogue losing. Mixed within the crowd, Jiemma begins to boil with rage seeing two of his top Mages completely defeated. The people around notice this and run in fear of Sabertooth’s Master, leaving the stands completely empty bar Jiemma.

Outside the arena, Jellal continues his pursuit of the hooded figure while Yukino, in Mercurius, hears of Sting and Rogue's defeat at the hands of Natsu. A guard comes to ask her about her feelings over the match, referring to her as "Sergeant", to which she replies that she is concerned over the result of her former guild and that she's not used to being called Sergeant, even though it is mandatory for her to be a part of the Eclipse Project. Yukino tells the guard that she wants to put all her effort into the project to help as much as possible and for Arcadios as well seeing how he was the one who invited her to join the project. She then goes on to comment on Arcadios' clumsiness, pondering how he can save the world and yet not tell anyone.

Meanwhile, in the sickbay, Carla has yet another vision of Mercurius being destroyed, but still refuses to tell the others what she saw. Then, Levy, Jet and Droy enter to check up on Lucy and talk to her about the good news. With both girls believing their team would win, Levy asks all present if they have seen Gajeel, but no one appears to know. With night creeping in, the rest of Team Fairy Tail congratulates Natsu on his victory while Jellal catches up with the hooded figure. Jellal tells the hooded figure to halt, reveals his face and asks to see the hood figures'. Noticing that the person in front of him is a woman, Jellal watches as she turns to him, the Crime Sorcière Mage standing in complete shock and disbelief when he sees the person's face.

Chapter 45 : The Exciting Ryuzetsu Land

On the evening of the third day of the Grand Magic Games, the Mages of Fairy Tail decide to head to Ryuzetsu Land, a summer leisure spot. Though Lucy wonders if they should tell the master first, Erza tells her he is gone elsewhere with Laxus and so there is no need.

Upon arriving, the Mages are surprised at how large the area is. Lisanna asks Erza if her injuries have healed, though Mirajane tells her that she need not worry since it is Erza. Meanwhile, Natsu rides a water locomotive, but immediately collapses due to his motion sickness. At the same time, the exceed decide to head over to the aquarium, with Levy suggesting to Gajeel that they go too while Cana complains about not having a swimsuit and having to be in her underwear.

As Lisanna and Mirajane wonder about whether or not they should have brought Elfman, he and Evergreen appear behind a rock in the pool, unwilling to let people know they came together. As the two argue, Freed and Bickslow watch the two and note that the two must be going out. Meanwhile, Juvia suggests to Gray they they ride the Love Slide together. As soon as Gray refuses, Lyon suddenly appears and carries Juvia off. Elsewhere, Wendy is met by Chelia who asks if she is recovered from their battle and, upon hearing that she has, suggests that they both go and have fun elsewhere.

n the pool, Team Quatro Puppy comments on how they will always be wild, as Bacchus states the era of real men will soon begin. Elsewhere, Jenny Realight steals Mirajane's bikini top as revenge for having been embarrassed by losing their battle and having to pose nude in the Sorcerer Magazine, who subsequently pulls down Jenny's bikini bottom as well. At the same time, Erza and Lucy are serenaded by the male members of Team Blue Pegasus, whom Erza scolds for their various actions, aside from Ichiya, who asks to be scolded.

As Lucy gets up, she notices Mavis underneath the water, the latter suddenly popping up. Erza sees Jellal as well and asks what he is doing, to which he replies that he followed the source of the strange magic there. In the aquarium, the exceed and Gajeel explore as the rest of their guild mates have fun with one another, as well as the members of other teams. As she watches this, Lucy is confronted by Flare from Team Raven Tail, who reveals she was just taken for questioning. Upon being asked what she wants, Flare simply says she came to apologize to Lucy, before walking away.

While running with Natsu, Ichiya accidentally slips on the wet floor and bumps Natsu, sending both of them flying. As he bumps into Erza and Jellal, he accidentally causes the latter to grope the former's breasts, much to his embarrassment.

Meanwhile, Juvia continues trying to get Gray to join her on the Love Slide, while Lyon attempts to do the same with her. However, a flying Natsu bumps into Gray and Lyon, accidentally sending the two of them hurling down the Love Slide together. As the two try to stop, they wind up freezing the slide, as well as the pool and everyone in it.

Angry with the freezing of the pool, Natsu uses his Fire Dragon's Iron Fist to destroy the ice, against Lucy's wishes, causing a massive explosion. As everyone lays unconscious, the repair expenses are slated to be sent to Fairy Tail, much against the wishes of the first and sixth masters.

Chapter 46 : A Solitary Journey

Whilst the rest of Fairy Tail watches the Pandemonium event take place in the Grand Magic Games, Gildarts wanders alone in a hilly landscape. Tired with his journey, he suddenly spots a woman off the track being surrounded by three snarling, horned monsters and moves to assist the lady, easily scaring the three beasts off. However, his wrath towards them also scares the woman, who runs from him screaming.

Annoyed that the woman didn't fall for him for his gallant rescue, Gildarts grabs his belongings and continues on his way, soon arriving at a large town cocooned in the mountains. Upon entering the town, he notices that many of the villagers appear to be saddened and downtrodden. Also in the village is the woman he saved earlier, who, upon seeing him, thanks him and fetches the leader of the town, who also pays his respects. Speaking to the villagers further, Gildarts learns that the town has been attacked by a vicious monster, being the reason for the townspeople's sadness. Seeing this, Gildarts offers to deal with the beast himself.

Entering the lair of the monster, a large cave, Gildarts soon confronts the huge creature and quickly defeats it. Returning to the village with the beast's giant horn, the villagers cry with relief and gratitude, throwing a party in his honor.

During the celebrations, Gildarts is led to a large Lacrima screen where he is able to view the Grand Magic Games. Upon seeing Erza emerge triumphant from the Pandemonium event, Gildarts appears shocked. However, Erza's triumph is overlooked when Gildarts sees Cana max out the Magic Power Finder with Fairy Glitter.

Not being able to contain his excitement and proud fatherly love, Gildarts whoops and runs in circles, much to the shock of the watching villagers. However, as he is running, he accidentally trips and uses his Magic in the center of town, causing huge cracks to split the earth and destroy almost every surrounding building. Getting swiftly kicked from the now destroyed town, Gildarts merely smiles, continuing down the path with his spirits high.

Chapter 47 : Where the Dragon's Souls Rest

With the night sinking in after the 4th day of the Grand Magic Games, Jellal meets up with his fellow Crime Sorcière members, Meredy and Ultear. He begins to discuss with them what he has learned from the mysterious hooded figure about the Eclipse Project and the Ryuuosai, telling them that they are unable to change the events of the upcoming future. Oblivious to everything, the citizens of Crocus see the updated scoreboard for the Games. The crowd are full of mixed reactions to these scores, with each civilian wanting a separate team to grab victory on the final day.

Meanwhile at the current lodgings for Sabertooth, Crocus Gardens, Sting, Rogue and the rest of the guild stand in front of their master after the Twin Dragon Slayers defeat at the hands of Natsu. Jiemma questions them on their loss that day, to which Rogue replies that he has no excuse for losing and that it was just a matter of Natsu being stronger than them. Jiemma then stands up, towering over the two Dragon Slayers and enraged over how this defeat has disgraced the name of his guild, sending Sting and Rogue hurtling backwards with sheer force. Lector and Frosch watch in shock as the partners hit the floor. Jiemma, still seeing Sting and Rogue unfit for his guild, begins beating them and then demands that they remove their guild marks. Suddenly, Lector stands up to Jiemma, quivering in sweat and fear. He tries to convince his master to stop, telling him that they tried their best and he believes that after this defeat Sting and Rogue will become stronger. Jiemma then asks who the Exceed is and Lector tells him that he is part of the guild too. Even with Lector's attempt to calm his master down, seeing the guild mark on Lector just causes Jiemma to become more enraged. Jiemma then attacks Lector, seeing that having an animal with the mark of Sabertooth is a disgrace to his guild, and with the use of his Magic Lector is no more.

The guild watches in shock as Lector vanishes away, with Sting crying out for his Exceed partner. With not even a trace of Lector left, Frosch begins to cry, worrying about Lector and wondering if he will be next. Rogue quickly goes to cover his Exceed, while Sting lies on the floor in tears for his lost friend. Jiemma comments on what a disgrace it was to see the Exceed with the mark of his guild, and this sends Sting into despair. Screaming out over Lector, he questions his master's actions, asking him how could he do such a thing to his friend. Jiemma tells him it was just an animal, so nothing was lost, but in a fit of rage and sadness Sting rushes towards his master, landing a devastating blow and sending white light straight through his chest. The guild watches as Jiemma falls to the floor, spitting out blood after Sting's ferocious attack. Yet, among the chaos that occurred that night, Minerva stands with a smile of satisfaction.

In the caverns beneath the arena, after gathering the other two Dragon Slayers of his guild and their Exceed partners, Gajeel heads down to show them what he discovered earlier that day. Gray and Lucy decide to tag along out of curiosity, and the group then reaches the Dragons Graveyard, shocked by the amount of dragon skeletons littered everywhere. Everyone begins asking questions about the area, yet the only thing they can determine is that the dragons were from ancient times. Wendy then remembers one of her spells taught to her by Porlyusica: Milky Way. She tells them how she thought it may have been an offensive spell, but now believes that it may be a way of communicating with souls of dragons long gone, thinking that by using this they can figure out what happened to the dragons and maybe their own.
On the streets of Crocus the hooded woman is sitting on a stone bench. She takes out a pen, opens it with her mouth and begins to write something down on her notepad. Suddenly, an officer appears and tells her to leave, seeing that she is trespassing in the area. The woman runs away but leaves her notepad behind. The officer picks it up, commenting on how shabby the hand writing is, and reads what is written down. As the hooded woman heads down the street, the officer is left wondering what the meaning is behind "Ryuuousai", "Project Eclipse" and "7th of July".

Chapter 48 : The Dragon King

In the dragon graveyard underneath the Domus Flau, Wendy draws a Magic circle on the ground, preparing to use the spell Porlyusica told her about: Milky Way. Calling to the souls of the deceased dragons, she invokes the spell and the area lights up as a result, while the dragon bones on the ground begin shaking. Wendy notes that the auras in the area are very old and very small, but with concentration she manages to locate and latch onto one.

A large dragon materializes in the area, shocking everyone as it roars and bears its teeth. However, instead of attacking any of them, the beast merely laughs at their reactions, shocking them even further with his sudden change in attitude. The creature then introduces itself as Zirconis, the Emerald Dragon, and figures out that the technique used to summon him belonged to Grandeeney. Quickly approaching Wendy and asking if she summoned him, Zirconis angers Natsu by saying he'll eat Wendy, subsequently laughing at Natsu for believing him, as due to the fact that he is a spirit, he can not physically harm them at all. As the others comment on Zirconis' strange personality, Zirconis is asked by the Exceed to tell everyone the history of the dragons, which he initially refuses to do until realizing he's talking to cats.

Zirconis explains that 400 years ago the world was ruled by dragons, who viewed humans only as their source of food. However, one dragon opposed this and believed in coexisting with the humans, so a war broke out between those who sided with the dragon and those who opposed him. Explaining that the war caused great devastation, Zirconis states that the dragons wishing to coexist with humans taught humans how to slay dragons with Magic, leading to the creation of Dragon Slayer Magic. With this power, the dragons wishing to coexist were thought to win until the humans turned on them. Mentioning one human who killed so many dragons that he bathed in their blood and became a dragon himself, Zirconis reveals him to have become the dragon king and killed all the dragons in the graveyard. He explains that he was known as Acnologia, surprising everyone.

Before Zirconis can reveal any more however, he disappears. Wendy explains that his aura suddenly vanished entirely as she rests. Natsu begins to wonder if his use of Dragon Slayer Magic will result in him turning into a dragon, and the three Dragon Slayers begin to get nervous. As they converse, Arcadios appears along with Yukino Aguria and explains that such a thing is impossible. He reveals that he heard everything and that Acnologia is a creature similar to Zeref's demons, and that he thinks it was Zeref who turned Acnologia into a beast. Explaining that defeating Zeref would be the first step in beating Acnologia, Arcadios fully shows himself, surprising Carla as she recognizes him as the white knight of her visions.

Chapter 49 : The Eclipse Plan

Still in the Dragon's Graveyard, Arcadios and Yukino introduce themselves to the group. Gray and Lucy begin to wonder why the white knight and ex-member of Sabertooth are in the cavern littered with the bones of dragons long gone, to which Arcadios begins to explain to them that he requires the power of a Celestial Spirit Mage for his plan and how that is the reason why Yukino is present with him. Natsu then confronts Arcadios, angry and confused about what he wants with them. Arcadios, now realizing Natsu was among the Fairy Tail Mages, compliments him on his battle. Natsu, not caring for Arcadios' praise, rushes towards him, demanding to know why exactly the other man needs a Celestial Spirit Mage. Arcadios then tells Natsu and friends to follow him but before they proceed further, Yukino tells that if they follow through with this plan, they would have a chance of defeating Zeref and Acnologia.

The group follows Arcadios to the palace, Mercurius, gazing in awe of its sheer size and magnificence. Arcadios then takes his time to apologize to them for the earlier attempted kidnapping of Lucy, showing them how desperate the need was for a Celestial Spirit Mage and revealing that he was the one behind the act to the Fairy Tail Mages, much to their surprise. They then enter the castle and continue to follow Arcadios while he tells them that the Grand Magic Games were actually a ruse to collect magical power from many different Mages, which the Fairy Tail Mages quickly disprove of but Arcadios shrugs off their feelings knowing that the Eclipse Plan would take a large amount of Magical Energy.

After traveling through the palace, Arcadios shows the Mages the Eclipse Project, which in fact is a massive gateway that will be unlocked when the sun and moon intersect by the Twelve Gold Keys. He then reveals his plan to use the gateway to travel back in time 400 years and destroy Zeref before he could become immortal, stunning the group in the very idea of travelling through time. Yukino then tells them that by using a special dimensional plane of the Celestial Spirit World, they would be able to open the gate with that Celestial Spirit Magic. Arcadios then asks Lucy if, on the 7th of July, she volunteers to lend him her power to open the gate when the moon intersects the sun, with Natsu, Gajeel and Wendy wondering if there was a connection between the dragons' disappearance and this upcoming eclipse.

Suddenly, guards come charging into the room and surround the group. They then make way for the minister of defense, Datong, who tells Arcadios to come with him peacefully. Arcadios questions the meaning of Datong's actions, to which he replies that Arcadios has leaked classified information on the Eclipse Plan and is now under arrest. Arcadios claims that Datong is only doing this because he opposes the plan seeing how the Fairy Tail Mages are the key to the plan. Datong then yells that of course he is against the plan as Arcadios is not thinking about what effects changing the past can have in the present. He then demands the immediate arrest of Arcadios, Lucy and Yukino and tells the guards to get rid of the rest of the group.

Angered by the obscure charges against his friend, Natsu prepares to attack the guards with his Fire Dragon's Iron Fist. Arcadios warns him not to use magic around the gate but it is too late. Natsu's magic is then sucked out of his body by the gate and he then passes out after losing it all. Datong tells him how using magic this close to the Eclipse gate will only result in him losing it all in one burst. The guards then take away their new prisoners, while Datong escorts Natsu and the others from the palace. Before leaving them, he tells the group that he only does what benefits his country and that the king has taken a liking to their Guild. Finally he informs them that if they are to win the Grand Magic Games, they will be allowed an audience with the king and that if they are to get along well with him, they might be able to change the sentence for their arrested comrade.
