Alright Ive seen a lot of game play videos and i have sort of an idea of how the system might work but i would like to here an in depth summary of the battle mechanics and how it works if you guys wouldn't mind because i know some of you got it imported lol

Command system from BBS. The basic combos are from CoM. You get abilities by leveling up Dream Eaters, and you can press a button near objects to do flashy moves, like wall jump, grind, smash into the ground, etc.

How in-depth are we talking here? Like probably not a comparison on how the combat has evolved over the series but I'll give it my best shot.

K I don't know it for sure till I get my hands on the game but as hatok said it's based on BBS' dramatic fased based combat. so theres no MP for attacks or magic but a pool of equipable Commands be they magic or special attacks. They all have cool down periods usually 10 to 30 seconds depending on how strong they are. It seems DDD has dropped Command Style changes which were reminiscent of the Drive Forms in KHII but its not the end of the world cause one of DDD's new mechanics of linking with your Dream Eater buddies gives you enough extra special moves to rely on!

Obviously DDD's biggest addiction is the Free Flow Action commands, like hatok saind rolling into a wall, post, oject etc and Sora and Riku can pull off dramatic context sensitive attacks without even having to spend your Command Decks! Plus some of the Free Flow movements are very parkour like! Anyslut I hope that wasn't to in-depth or elaborate, the best way to learn the combat is to take a crack yourself. Bet you cant wait for July!
