Alright my friend sat on my psp (without knowing it) and after I turned it on, a very large black spot has appeared in the top-left corner of the screen. Does anyone know what this is, and if so how can I fix it? FYI The warranty has been voided because I've done some.....stuff to it so I can't send it to Sony.

It sounds like the internal screen has been damage. That's what happened to mine. You'll probably need to buy a new one, if you can't send it to Sony.

Nope. Get a new PSP.

Hmm well I've looked on other forums and people have said you need to replace the LCD screen or something...is that even correct, or possible?

It might be, but I was told(when it happened to my PSP) that getting the "LCD screen or internal screen" whichever you want to call it, would cost more and be more of a waste of time, than it would be to just buy a new one. Especially, since the prices for PSPs are far less than what they use to be.

Really? Well in that case I'll just get a Vita instead. WHy should I buy the old one when the new ones out, right? Hehe but first I need money

The only thing about that is the Vita doesn't have backwards compatibility. If you want to play any PSP games on it, you'll have to download them off the PSN.

Well the thing is I uh......"Jack Sparrow" my games onto my PSP cause I'm always broke...so I'd probably do the same for the Vita, but I'm getting a job soon (I just turned 15) so I'll probably start buying games. But does the Vita support old PSP games, like Dissidia? I love that game

I figured that's what you meant when you said "did stuff to your PSP," but like I said, if it's on the PSN then you can purchase it off there and play it on the Vita. I'm pretty sure it's on there. For example, you would NOT be able to play BBS, because there is no downloadable version on the PSN.

A PSP without KHBBS is hardly a PSP at all...but could I still Jack Sparrow it on there?

You might be able to. I'm not sure. Personally, I don't agree with the concept of hacking, so I don't know a lot about the details. Considering that it's not on the PSN to begin with, I would say no. But, don't take my word for it.

Just know I only hack because I can't buy the games, I've had my PSP for 10 months and if I never hacked BBS and Dissidia on there I still wouldn't have any games for it...but are you able to get old PSP games on there? Cause if you can I could jest get BBS by hacking it cause that's really the only way you can get it

AH I just found out you can transfer PSP games to your PS Vita so I wont need to hack

lol You don't have to explain to me why you hack. It's your life and it's not my right to tell you what to do. I just personally don't like it, because it allows people to play a game that took so much time and effort to be made, for free. The company gets nothing from the hacker, in return. But, if you plan on purchasing your games after you get a job, instead, then that's pretty cool of you. I already said, though, I'm not sure if you can hack BBS, because it may not be compatible with the Vita, since it's not on the PSN to begin with. But, I'm not sure how hacking works, exactly. You'd have to check some sort of PSVita hacking site for that.

That's only in Japan, I believe. I could've sworn that there are no plans to bring the transfer capabilities overseas. I'm not sure where you live, but I don't think you'll be able to do that.

*sigh* well I guess I can play BBS on my laptop through an emulator than cause I LOVE that game, but thanks for your help! :D

Not really that simple on Vita. The only thing they've been able to do is get PSP homebrew on it because of an exploit in the PSP emulator.

Good luck playing KH BBS on the Vita, but still, Vita is a great system.
