Question about the referral system

Okay, so y'know how when you refer someone to the site it says in their profile who the referrer was, and it gives you an extra point or something?

Well I know I've referred about 8 or 9 people to this site so far, yet my count hasn't gone up from 4, and (most of) their profiles aren't showing me as having referred them. I don't get it. :L

    There was a small problem that stopped the counters from being incremented if the user took more than one click in order to register. I think I've fixed this now.

    Does that mean the people I've referred don't count?

    They'll count for the competition but your counter unfortunately won't be updated.
