Kingdom Hearts III: In an interview with Tetsuya Nomura, he stated that his team is currently too busy with other projects such as Final Fantasy Versus XIII to work on Kingdom Hearts III. He also stated that his team was doing research concerning the high-definition graphics of the game, and depending on the technical requirements of the next generation consoles, Kingdom Hearts III may see a release on existing platforms.[25] Story-wise, Nomura has revealed that it will pick up directly after the events of Dream Drop Distance and serve as the final chapter of the "Xehanort Saga", although it will not be the final game of the series overall.

Following Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Nomura explained that Square would announce a new Kingdom Hearts game with the staff currently working on it. Moreover, Nomura denied rumors that that there would be a sequel to Birth by Sleep or an updated version of Dream Drop Distance.[26] Regarding consoles, the staff was invited to work in aKingdom Hearts for the PlayStation Vita. Although finding the handheld console's quality outstanding, Nomura stated that the series should go back to a main console. Additionally, by playing the ending of Dream Drop Distance, the player would be able to get hint regarding the next title. Besides developing the next game, Nomura has also shown a desire to make a high-definition version.

KH3 for Vita? It has the graphics capabilities.

no,on a main console like ps3....the KH team was invited to make a game for PSvita but Nomura did not accept :)

Just gonna say, Wikipedia isn't a really reliable source. Anyone can change the info on there.

No...he stated that main titles will always be a console game. But mostly what he stated is that its time for KH to return to the console. He was questioned as to if there would be a sequel to BBS would it be on the Vita, and he said while the handheld system is great there are no plans to make a sequel to BBS at this time.

Basically all these hints and the ending of DDD point towards the next title being KHIII.

And while he says hes "too busy" for KH because of Versus, I have a feeling Versus is almost done, as we will see with the announcement to be made on September 1st. But I believe he has begun working on writing and character concepts for KHIII already.

While what you said is true, everything that was stated was pulled from various interviews by Nomura. If I remember correctly I believe it was a post E3 Interview where he said that the next title would be on a console and that his team would be making an announcement soon.

Edit: it was actually during an interview with GameInformer where he said those things :Dhttp://kh13.com/news/28519-kingdom-hearts-3d-appears-in-game-informer-with-nomura-interview/

Thank you Nomura!

The word wiki makes me question the validity of this statement just saying :)

Why go to wiki when KH13 has an interview section?

Well, I edited something on an article once myself and it was completely readable to everyone. I guess they check new additions after a while, but I don't think that they keep from publishing something because they are checkin and re-checkin it.
