Posted

Long before the three heroes -Ventus, Aqua, and Terra- set foot in another world, long before even the terror of Master Xehanort could even be prophesied....long ago when Keyblade warriors were many.

They all gathered at The Land of Departure. Here, it was known as the Keyblade academy, where young apprentices seeking the ways of light would find themselves here. And two young teens, both aspiring to be named Master, find themselves here. What adventure awaits?

Just follow the usual Roleplay and Forum rules and such. That is all.

"I-what? AH!" Kaisse's face turned a deep red.

"G-get off..I could have...could have..d-d-dodged..."She stuttered.

She felt her felt her face redden."I..I'm s-sorry." She said.

  • Author

"O-oh, sorry." Micah replied, his dual-colored eyes blinking once as his face reddened a bit, "It was the best I could do at the time, so I did my best to at lest protect you."

"O-oh it's okay. J-just get off. I'm okay and..this gives them the chance they need." She said.

"Now,get off,please..sir." She said a bit rudely.

"Sorry." Micah said, quickly getting off of the elf girl. The caravan was in flames. Not much remained of it now, beyond the flaming wooden wreckage that once was Micah's ticket to the Capital. To boot, the riders were closing in fast.

"Jump." Micah said, nodding to the cliff's edge. "If we jump, we can evade the bandits-- hopefully we're close enough to the capital that we can reach by walking pace in a day."

"I-I..can't...I..can't...no...it's..my mother died from falling...this past winter." She got up.

"I'll...only if there's not a choice." She said.

"A-and y-you..h-hold me." She felt her face light up.

"There's not much of a choice." Micah said, looking on as the riders came towards them. He shuffled towards the cliff-edge, freezing up when he saw how high up they were. Below was a vast sea of green trees, all of which were at least 75 feet below them. It wasn't much, but to Micah it was a whole lot.

"I-I regret this. I'm really scared of heights." Micah stammered, his blue/green eyes looking a bit panicked, "B-but we have to get out of here.."

Kassie hugged him."I don't want to jump..b-but we have to live." She whispered.

"I-I'm sorry.." She said.

She pushed them both off."Forgive me,sir."

"Gaaaaah!" Micah screamed, his body free-falling through the air as the trees seemed to eagerly catch up to them. In a blinding moment he felt his body get pierced by tens of branches, the pain the worst he had received to date.

The landing knocked the wind out of him...but thankfully he was alive. In pain, yes..but alive. "N-never again." He wined, his cat-like tail having poofed up to extreme poofiness from the fear.

"P-please..."

Kassie let go."I'm sure..it wasn't my choice." She said.

"Sir,forgive me." She stated.

"We can part way when we reach the city." She said.

"I-It's fine." Micah said, giving the girl a smile. He shakingly rolled off the tree, giving an audible 'Oof!' as he fell back onto stable ground. "You..don't have to call me 'sir'. I can't be much older than you are...just call me Micah." Micah said, reaching out his hand.

His smile was kind, his ears flicking once to make him only seem that much more gentle. Of course, his oddly sharp canines might be a bit off-putting to some.

Kassie took his hand. "Ummm...Thank si-I mean Micah."

"U...your a nice Beat-Kin,that is what the humans called you, right?" She asked.

(Srry for the short post.)

(It's fine~)

Micah's smiled increased, but it's duration only lasted a few seconds. "Yes..if it wasn't evident enough, my tail and ears usually signify that I'm a Beast-Kin. I don't mind the name, but I know not every Kin of my kind shares the same feeling."

Micah sighed, looking back up the cliff. There was no sign of the raiders.

"Well, let's hurry and get this thing over with."

Kassie smiled."Thanks you helping me down,sir-I mean Micah." She looked away.

"I'm sorry,I'm just used to calling people sir or ma'am. " She said.

"Do want to know my name,or do you not care. I run into people like that." She said a hint of sadness in her voice.

"Oh, I'd love to!" Micah said, "I would certainly like to get to know my traveling companion."

After saying that, Micah quickly looked away; he felt his face go hot, and he turned to prevent the elf girl from seeing. Woah. That was odd...why do I feel so...fluttery all of a sudden?

Kassie smiled as he happily replied. "Kassie Hearts." She said.

"I'm glad to have someone so nice to be stuck with." She said and weakly blushed.

"I-a-anyway let's get going." She said as firmly as she could. (Which is about as firm as when Canada gives himself a pep talk.)

Micah's face grew even hotter, his face surely beaming with a red blush.

"Right. Well, let's hurry up them, Kassie." Micah said, his tail wagging furiously from the embarrassment he was suffering from; his ears in an upright position also due to his current state of mind.

Geez, I haven't felt this way since..well, forever. Micah thought, his mind trying to wrap around this new-found emotion.

Kassie gave a confused face. "Are you sick?" She asked and put her hand on Micah's forehead.

"Strange you don't feel warm..." She said and slowly grew more confused.

"Eh,he's not sick or anything..." She thought to herself.

Micah shook his head. "No, I'm fine."

Darn tail! He yelled in his mind, wishing the offensive appendage would stop it's furious swishing from side-to-side. "But really, we should be going. Who knows-- those bandits may now a quicker path down the mountain...though I'd guess they would lose interest in catching us." Micah said, looking back once up the cliff-side.

"Not likely." Kaisse said quickly back in reply.

"Besides it's the cart they were after-the cart that's..." She looked down at the ground.

"Did I fail?" She asked suddenly aloud.

  • Author

Micah looked at Kaisse with an odd expression. "Did you fail? No! I don't think you did. We weren't equipped -nor able to detect in time- enough to defend against the bandits, and so we made a retreat." Micah said, looking to her with pure concern.

"And don't get yourself down over that." Micah added, "I don't like to see people worry over things they cannot control."

Kassie nodded. "Okay." She said.

"Thank you." She added.

"Now lets go ahead." She said.

  • Author

Micah nodded, looking around. "Of course, it would be good to actually know where to go." He said, realizing he wasn't sure which direction was the capital. "You have any ideas?" He looked to Kaisse, his face showing a curious expression.

Micah yawned, his Kin senses needing a rest after the long day he had barely suffered through.

"The cart was going that way." Kassie pointed ahead.

"I think we should just go that way." She said.

She looked at Miach."Does that seem okay with you?" She asked.

  • Author

Micah looked down at the ground. "I find my self to be rather intelligent -a rare sight among Kin-, and even then I didn't think of that. Nice job." Micah said, looking to Kaisse with a regular, yet slightly red, expression.

"Let's get going, then! I want to to reach the capital before at least the day after tomorrow."

Kaisse looked at him. "Can I hold your hand?" She asked.

"It..will..make me feel better..." She whispered.
