Cealus followed suit picking out a set of new clothing for himself. He felt it was needed, as his clothing was already dirty, but he could feel a big event was to happen, something very dangerous.

Quickly finishing his clothing changed, he ensured he was prepared, by eating, taking a quick nap, and essentially doing the essentials.

Much later, Cealus sat out in the hallway across from Jade's waiting for her to come out.

Jade walked out of the room and was Ceal waiting for her. She smiled and blushed slightly. "Hey Ceal." She said ever so Lightly."Let's go see the master...before...you know." She said.

Cealus nodded, getting up. "Yes. I think he might already know, but we should still check up on him...and Forin." Cealus sighed.

Why did it come to this? We've been Apprentices for barely two weeks. He shook his head, opening the door leading outside.

"We better hurry."

~

Ansem fell to the ground, he chest slit and bleeding. The Qualia stood before him, The Qualia's arm transformed into a demonic scythe-arm weapon.

"Today..." The Qualia announced darkly, looking about the dead guards, "The First Lord dies."

"Yeah." Jade mumbled and followed behind Ceal. "Let's hurry I feel bad for what I said to Forin and the more help the better." She said and looked at the floor as she walked.

Cealus nodded, absentmindedly holding Jade's hand. He gave that a though, than shyly let go and began to walk ahead faster, trying to avoid people seeing his reddened face. "L-let's get a move on..."

With that, Cealus quickly got to the Infirmary, where he assumed Forin would be. Though sure enough, Varius was waiting outside.

"I believe you two have grave news regarding Forin's state. Please, follow me." Varius said, walking towards the Master's Quarters.

"I geuss that would be true." Jade said in a saddened tone. Jade cast her look at the ground. She just felt so ashamed of herself. "Ceal..."She wispered and rested her head upon his shoulders.

Cealus looked up at the sky. "Hmm?" He asked, and for once, he didn't blush, he didn't act surprised, he just let things go.

He smiled, and Varius turned around, looking at the two.

Reminds me of when I was a youngster.... Varius thought, smiling in a way only Master Varius could manage.

"I'm sorry..." Jade wispered slowly and carefully. She gave a sad sigh. "If I've caused and your father any problems, just tell me." She felt her cheek get wet. Tears were rolling down her face. She quickily rubbed the tears away.

Cealus looked surprised. "N-no! Of course not! I should apologize, after all. I shouldn't have let my head get to me, if I had stayed away from the Castle, my father wouldn't have known I was there." He sighed, once again doing his silly, yet cocky smile.

"I..." Cealus began, internally shaking his head. They had to tell Varius what was to happen. Anything else could be put on hold.

"Um!" She blurted aloud. "I think we can do this later. Um, more importanly I think there's something you should know." She took a deep breath. "I'm sure you've seen Forin." She started off.

Varius nodded, "Yes....I have. But this is not the place to speak of dark things like this. Quickly, please follow me." Cealus followed Master Varius into the building, soon reaching a rather large meeting hall. A long table made up most of the room, with thirteen chairs neatly aligned. Varius sat at the head, with Cealus sitting to his left.

"Where are the other Masters?" Cealus asked. Varius sighed.

"As of several hours ago, the amount of Heartless exponentially increased. We have lost contact with Traverse Town...and Radiant Garden. Not only that, but newer Heartless have appeared. They are not like the shadows...they are different."

Jade had followed to, but leaned against wall behind were Ceal was. "There's a reason for that, Although,Ceal knows more than I do."Jade looked at the floor knowing that was the main cause of the whole problem.

Cealus sighed, looking away for a moment.

"Master...do you know of...the Qualia?" Cealus asked, looking back at Varius. Varius's eyes slightly widened, and his fist's clenched.

"The Qualia...? Impossible...yet, that explains much." Varius looked around, as if checking to see if anyone else was in the room.

"I will tell you the full story behind the Qualia...it involves bloodshed, betryal...and the creation of a fabled Keyblade. But first, Jade, please, sit down."

Jade sighed."Yes sir." She sat down two from the left of where Ceal was. "Okay I am sitting, do tell." She said with an air of uncerainty. She gave a small shurg and looked down at the table.

Varius nodded. "A long while ago- before even I was born- there was simply two sides to everything. Light, and Darkness.

Of course, the differences of people led to the first real battle. It was that collision of the two sides that created a rift between them- the Qualia. it was made to simply devour, crushing souls and devouring whole worlds, to end the conflict. For years, many worlds fell prey to the Qualia and the first true Keyblade was forged to combat it. This weapon- The X-Blade. The original wielder captured the Qualia, storing it away within a young world."

Varius finished his tale, looking from Cealus to Jade.

"It is my impression that it has been released again, and now, has a stable form."

"Indeed."Jade said and looked at the table."So what should we do to get rid of it?" She asked and gave a small sigh." I mean we can let this thing ask as it feels." She said and got out of the chair.

"As far as I know, it cannot be killed. I. The best we could manage is to trap it again, and hope it does not escape. However..." Varius trailed off from there, looking pained.

"What is it, Master?" Cealus asked.

"To trap the Qualia again, we would need a Keyblade wielder, but even then, it would most likely be at the cost of said wielder. The only reason the original lived is because he made the Keyblade, his power rivaling all of ours."

"So in order to trap in someone has to die? What if two people or three or maybe even more worked together and traped it, then there'd be no need for anyone to die." Jade said.

Varius shrugged. "I honestly I have no idea of what is certain. I'm making assumptions, since the original wielder trapped it on it's own, I'm assuming it would take more than that. Perhaps cooperation could help, as I said, we're in the dark here. The Qualia is hundreds of years old."

Varius looked at Cealus. "I am also making the assumption Forin was involved in it's release."

Cealus nodded.

"Yet, the Qualia is believed to have been trapped in the highest level magic trap known. Therefore, someone would have to be in direct contact with it to carry out it's ideals. Cealus, Jade, was anyone else with the Qualia at the time?"

"Haha, funny you should ask-you should ask Ceal. It's up not him to say." Jade said. She looked at saddness showing in her eyes." I 'm S o r r y." She lipped with her mouth.

Cealus nodded to Jade. "There was only one other....it was Master Nalicus."

Varius sighed. "Even though I expected as much....I am still surprised. Nalicus..." Varius trailed off.

"Nalicus was once a disciplined wielder.....but I believe he was too headstrong. He always went on about wanting to become better than the original wielder, by reforging the X-Blade....I guess he found his way to the Qualia, intending on defeating it, a way to show his strength....He returned unsuccessful. We had to relieve him of his Keyblade, as that had went too far. But maybe even that, drew him over the edge."

Varius stood up out of his chair, opening a corridor. A long Keyblade silver-white, yet more of a long rapier appeared in his hand.

"I am heading to Radiant Garden. Do not follow me."

'"Fine, but what do we do?" Jade asked and sighed slighty angry, mainly with herself. "Um anyways~ Ceal did you want to say something to me?" She asked and smiled shyly.

Varius stopped. "Stay here. Under no circumstances shall you leave these grounds." Varius slipped through the portal.

Cealus sighed, his head hitting the desk. "Great." He muttered, looking back up at Jade with a bored expression.

"I guess...we could check up on Forin." Cealus said, leaning backwards.

"Uh...yeah." Jade said suddenly glum. "I thought that you were...." She sighed. "Nevermind." She said and look at the wall. "I guess you don't...feel that why...about me." She wispered.

Cealus looked at Jade. "W-what?" He clenched his fists, sighing deeply. He walked over to Jade, slowly, but with effort.

"Jade...I..." He looked away. "N-nevermind. Let's just go..." He seemed rather down at this point, opening the door and leaving the room.
