Posted

Long before the three heroes -Ventus, Aqua, and Terra- set foot in another world, long before even the terror of Master Xehanort could even be prophesied....long ago when Keyblade warriors were many.

They all gathered at The Land of Departure. Here, it was known as the Keyblade academy, where young apprentices seeking the ways of light would find themselves here. And two young teens, both aspiring to be named Master, find themselves here. What adventure awaits?

Eschido lead her to a side door, right next to the bigger arch way. A few elves were making there way into this one; two cloaked guards standing watch. Naturally, it looked awfully suspicious, but it was a church after all, and any nighttime passerby might assume it was a late-night sermon.

"Here we are." Eschido whispered, taking Kassie by the arm as he tried to lead her through the door.

Kassie nodded. "Worried I might get lost in a crowd?" She asked.

She gave another small laugh. "I won't." She added.

He shook his head, "Not really..just makin' sure you don't get lost in the maze of corridors. It's hidden for a reason." Eschido said, leading her through exactly what he said: a maze of corridors and passages that eventually lead out in to a massive, underground circular room. Many elves stood around a raised platform, where three others stood.

Kassie smiled. "Oh,that's nice of you." She told him.

"I have to see a little bit of this-then go for the...kill." She thought.

The main male looked around, and frowned.

"Welcome..brethren. You may know me as the King's advisor...but here, I am your brother. Just another follower of our Goddess, who chose us -not the Kin!- as the ones who will ascend to the heavens." The man stopped, allowing the ensuring light applause to die out, "I have already established searches for the last few...candidates..and then, once our duty is finished...we will be gods."

"No,he saw me,he must have!" She shook her head.

"I have to get up there,but...how?" She thought.

The path was clear up to the platform. Everyone was mesmerized by the Advisor's speech, which was entirely a biased propaganda-laden oration.

"All we need is a one more! One more to complete our way to ascendance! One more!"

She looked at Eschido then started to walk up. "He has no idea what's up." She gave a relaxed look.

She kept walking. She made it look like she was awed,and,well..she was. "Can't get confused."

No one was paying attention. They were all in their own state of amazement, captivated by the powerful -yet empty- words that the Advisor spoke. Eshcido took a slight notice to Kassie's disappearance, and peered around to try and find her.

~

Micah sighed. He was near the church now. A large group of elves had just entered through a side-door...and one that looked almost exactly like Kassie.

I know what she's trying to do...I can't even trust her with staying safe. What if they hurt her? Kill her? Brainwash and indoctrinate her?! I wouldn't be able to live if she defects to the other side...

Kassie got closer and closer still. She slowly lower'd her hand to her weapon. She touched it just as she reached the podium. A smiled flicked to Kassie's face. "Sorry,Eshcido." She whispered.

Micah sheathed his lance. The two cloaked guards laid knocked out beside him. He sighed, glad at least that he remembered his original fighting style. The guards, because of that, were remarkably easy to dispatch.

The Kin walked into the corridors, using a paper he snatched from one of the guards to guide himself to where Kassie would most likely be.

I don't have much time..

Kassie jumped up on the podium. "You killed the King!" She pulled her sword out of it's hilt.

She frowned. "You should tell them what your true plan is! About the pain you cause other's!" She said.

The Advisor turned around, surprised. "Eh?" He said, looking over Kassie.

"What about all that? No, I had no part in the king's death. I've spoken with several men, and we believe it was in fact the Kin who killed him." He said, a smirk almost flickering to life on his aged face.

He motioned to a guard, "Take this little one away. I want my people to recognize the faults of the Kin, and..I want this one to see that too."

"No,it was you! You had to because.....the only other one who could have done it was....no! Eshcido...you can't listen!" Kassie shook her head.

She felt her weapon wanked away from her."W-who?"

  • Author

It was guard.

"Come with me. We'll get yah situated." He said, yanking on her arm.

~

Micah stopped at the final door. Another two guards were stationed here.

Damn. If I make too much ruckus, they'll hear me and I'll be caught for sure. Micah thought, looking around.

"Don't have a choice,do I?" Kassie sighed.

She bit her lip. "Yank me along I guess." She said.

The guard blinked, honestly confused. He hadn't expected the girl to give in so easily.

"Right.." He murmured, gently guiding Kassie away as the Advisor resumed his speech--though even louder this time.

~

Micah adjusted the helmet on his head. The rough metal hurt his ears, but the entire garment would work well as a disguise. Thanks to the increased volume of the speech, he was able to cleanly knock the guards out; taking one of their suits to wear.

"Now, to find Kassie and get out.."

"Where are you taking me?" Kassie asked.

"Sorry,guys." She thought bitterly.

  • Author

"A special room." The guard replied, his voice cold.

~

Micah walked around the edge of the room without trouble. Frankly, the elves were too busy with the speech to pay any notice, but it helped that he almost seamlessly fit into the group. He let out a sigh of relief as he walked.

Where's Kassie?!

Kassie didn't like the sound of that."Are you going to kill me?" She asked.

She wished she had her weapon. "Guess I've done it now."

  • Author

"No." Was the guard's reply. He lead her out into another hallway, a brighter corridor that seemed a lot more calm than the tense room they were just in. "We do not solve all of our problems through death."

~

There!

Micah's eyes lit up as he saw Kassie being lead away by a guard.

I can see her!

"So brainwash then?" She asked.

Kassie felt her hopes fading. "Today,is not a good day."

  • Author

The guard glanced at Kassie, "We do not call it brainwash. We refer to it as enlightenment." He said, leading her across the hall into another room. This one was ordinary, with two chairs; one being filled by yet another elf..but..it was Eschido.

~

Micah walked faster now, trying to catch up with the two.

I have to reach her in time! He yelled in his mind, If I don't, this will be ruined! She...she'll...she'll never love me!

"Oh,that where you were.." She said.

"Mother...someone...help me..."

The guard felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned, but was quickly hit in the head with a lance.

With a gasp, the guard fell to the ground.

"Thank goddess I got here in time." A voice said.
