Long before the three heroes -Ventus, Aqua, and Terra- set foot in another world, long before even the terror of Master Xehanort could even be prophesied....long ago when Keyblade warriors were many.

They all gathered at The Land of Departure. Here, it was known as the Keyblade academy, where young apprentices seeking the ways of light would find themselves here. And two young teens, both aspiring to be named Master, find themselves here. What adventure awaits?

"Your failure to fulfill my needs will cost you dearly. The cost will be your life. NOW DIE!" Kassie said loudly.

She looked away. "Holy cow,I feel bad."

Micah smirked. The room was most certainly empty now.

"Nice job. Let's get in there quickly," He said, looking back to Kassie. He got up, hugging her softly before opening the door with a creak.

Kassie smiled. "Got another plan?" She asked her voice in a whisper.

She tilted her head. "But,let's go."

Micah entered the room.

The place was deserted. Not even the advisor was there. Micah sighed, as much as he would have loved to have killed the man, he knew...secretly, that he would never be able to do it. The death of the guards was through pain and the spur of the moment.

"Now...we have to destroy the goddess..." Micah whispered, walking up to the raised platform.

"I just want to get this over with." Kassie said.

She followed Micah. "Let's get this over with." She said.

Micah nodded.

"But..how do we summon her?" He asked, looking to Kassie. It felt all too easy. The elves had fled so easily, as if they knew the danger their beliefs had held. Micah shook his head at that thought. Somehow, they needed to summon the deity.

"Did you mean to summon..me..?" A voice rang out.

"That's how?" Kassie questioned.

She rasied her voice. "Why come now?" She asked.

"I don't like it when my carefully selected followers decide to leave...especially when it's a Kin that caused it. I've had enough of your kind." The goddess said, "It's because of your kind that I was exiled! I was so powerful! But no, your kind had to make things so difficult! And when I tried to end it all, I was thrown into the darkest pit! I've been locked here, and only now does my cage deteriorate to the point that escape is possible!"

Micah sighed. The goddess was a whiner.

Kassie looked around. "You used them for your own games! " She said annoyed.

She sighed. "You aren't right!"

"My games?! Long ago, I was the greatest wizard! The greatest! But...the Kin..the had to go to war! It ruined my perfect freedom! Everything I knew, burned and destroyed! By my own people! So I set out to learn the darkest magic, something so powerful that it would end that war. And I did, oh I did! i ended that war, but I was declared a demon and locked in this prison!" The 'goddess' yelled. It was obvious that she was losing herself.

"I see." Micah whispered, "You used a powerful arte that stole away your soul. You're nothing. You're a shell...a corrupted husk that long ago held something."

"Your not any better." Kassie sighed very deeply.

"Besides why not humans?" She asked.

Micah blinked, turning to Kassie.

"What..do you mean I'm not any better?" He asked, frowning.

The goddess chuckled, "Are you asking why elves? Because, they were the victims of said war. Now, I was no elf...but I sympathized with them. With your kind...hehe...well, at least, I used to. I knew I could easily recruit your race by touching on the subject every elf wants: superiority after years of being so low."

"I'm sorry Micah." Kassie whispered.

"So you used my kind." She said.

Micah clenched his fist. He was still doubting that Kassie loved him, and her words felt like a bullet had pierced him.

"Yes. I used your people. How else would I be free?" The goddess asked, "It's easy to convince someone when you know what they want."

"Ask to be freed ." Kassie said.

She sighed. "Micah?" She asked.

Micah's ear twitched. He heard he, but his mind didn't register the words.

"I see...hehe.." The goddess whispered, "You know, there's one reason I left Micah alive. When he destroyed my seal...he opened his soul to me. Do you know what that means, elven girl?"

"Oh,no! I can't let you...do you even think...do you even understand love!" Kassie looked down at the ground and sighed.

"But...you don't care..do you?" She asked.

  • Author

"No." The goddess replied, "Nor do I need to."

Micah collapsed on the ground, as what sounded like a laugh surrounded him. It was the goddess's laugh, a terrible cackle that echoed through the room.

"This Kin will be my slave."

Kassie looked at the floor."So I failed,is that it? " She asked.

She slumped to the ground. "Haha...ha,I see. It's true that everything I love dies."

  • Author

"You give up too easily."

The voice sounded like Micah, but it had a...darker tone.

"I'm simply controlling this Kin. He's fighting back...but...nothing I cannot handle." Micah said, twitching a bit. Something was wrong. The 'goddess' sounded...weak. As if the transfer had already weakened her.

"I hate this,I hate you. No wonder they locked you up! You are vile. " Kassie screamed.

She felt tears running down her face. "But I never gave up on him...."

The twitching continued. It was more severe now.

"N-no! It's their fault! I wanted revenge! Revenge! And I was treated like a criminal! Now look at me! I've been locked up for five hundred years! I don't even have a body anymore I-it turned to dust so long ago! Long ago!" The goddess's voice sounded like it held a tremble, with a mix of fear. The goddess had been locked up for too long. Now, what was left of her was being destroyed.

"Kassie!" It was Micah's voice, ringing out from the darkness within himself.

Kassie got up. "I won't let you have him. If you want him, kill me first!" She said.

She wiped her eyes."Give up,you have nothing to come back to." She added.

  • Author

"No! My form! I-it's...crumbling! My very essence!" The goddess was screaming now. The transfer to Micah's body had done more than a number. The cage was her body, it was what kept her soul alive. Micah was not a cage, at least, one that was of darkness.

"Kassie! Strike me!"

"S-slap..I can't! It might hurt! Your weak! Please! " Kassie said.

"Anyway,I can hurt you....but..if your sure...I will.." She trailed off.
